“I have been a patron at McGarvey's for years. I love your food and service. However, first time I have a complaint. I was anxious to try the crab balls, as pictured in your menu. Although they weren't horrible, they looked nothing like the picture on your menu, very disappointed. I expected pieces of white crab meat and we got very crusted, fried little round balls. I bragged to my grandson about the picture on your menu and it was certainly not what we got. I must say, it is the first thing I have been disappointed with. Either change the picture or take them off your menu.“

Only ‘complaint' was the prickly pear margarita was in a very small cocktail glass, not the more generous margarita glass. Christine was friendly & attentive.“

“We hosted our family from multiple states and Europe for Christmas dinner on Christmas Day in the 18-Century Ballroom upstairs and could not be more pleased.

The GM was extremely accommodating and communicative. The event-day staff was professional and outgoing. The food was top notch. There were no surprises. The event went as planned, and I was complimented by practically every guest about how amazing the place, experience, and food was.

If you're looking for a unique experience for a catering event with a reasonable price tag....this is the place.“

While not a very traditional sushi place, it still has great food and a nice ambience. Outdoor seating was great at the time and our waitress Ms. Becca was wonderful.

Miso soup was pleasant and filling. The edamame was, well, edamame, but nonetheless a good opener. Avocado salad was a little dry and uninspiring, but the flavor was decent, especially in tandem with the pine nuts.

The star of the appetizers, however, was definitely the yomato's tofu, which is always my friends and families' go-to. It's a little sweet, very crispy on the outside, with the savory taste of bonito flakes and soy wrapping the dish together; it's very filling and shareable as well, and definitely my biggest suggestion.

We tried the Kamikaze, Metropolitan, and Miami rolls. Of them, the Kamikaze was just fine; however, we enjoyed the Miami rolls and the Metropolitan was our favorite.“

“This restaurant is excellent and underutilized. I felt as if I had the restaurant to myself, and the cook was my personal chef. I had a very large fillet of salmon with asparagus, and it was perfect! The beers were $5, so a little expensive, but I didn't mind because the food was delicious.“

My wife and I came back just four weeks after our first visit, and once again, it did not disappoint!
The chef, as always, prepared our custom smoked salmon and salmon skin sushi to perfection. As a fun bonus, they even gave us sushi stickers afterward!
This is hands down the most accommodating and satisfying sushi spot in the area.

“I made a last-minute decision to spend the weekend in Annapolis and was just looking for a good dinner spot close to my hotel. Stoney River ended up being a great choice! It’s attached to the mall, so parking can be a little tricky depending on the time and day, but it wasn’t too bad when I went.

I was dining solo and walked right in to find plenty of open bar seating. The bar staff was super pleasant, the area was clean, and the vibe was laid-back and welcoming. They also had a solid drink selection, which is always a plus.

I started with the steak egg rolls appetizer, which came out fast and was a lot more food than I expected (not a bad thing!). For dinner, I went with the filet Oscar and a wedge salad. I always order my steak medium rare and they nailed the temp—perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The Oscar style was definitely the right call. The wedge salad was okay, but the blue cheese was a bit heavy for my taste.

All in all, it was a really good solo dining experience. Great service, good food, and a relaxing atmosphere. My total with two drinks, appetizer, and dinner was just over $100—not bad at all for the quality. I’d definitely come back, whether solo again or with company next time.“

Everyone I’ve interacted with has been lovely, but special mention to Eric, Daniel, and Grant, whose hospitality has been inviting and impeccable every time. “I have been searching for a good Chinese restaurant in the area for so long. I’ve tried the majority of the ones in the area and always leave disappointed. I actually loved the food here. I got the general Tsos chicken and I loved it. Just the taste was great. I got my husband the shrimp and chicken lo mein and he loved it. The boneless spare ribs were good also and the wontons did not disappoint.

I will definitely be back on those cheat days where I don’t feel like cooking!“

I mess with the host boy and tell him we're a party of 8. He doesn't bat an eye and is about to figure out how to make a party of 8 happen when I tell him I'm kidding and apologize.
We get seated at *my Mom's desired table,* and I look around, and realize our poor server has been *at least* triple sat. I tell my Mom it's gonna be a minute before we get our iced teas, but the support kid filled our waters; and not gonna lie, kiddo is not only on top of things, but also above-average eye candy.
Don't tell my Mom I said that.
We get our soups - Oyster Stew - rich and river-y (if you know, you know). Five oysters in each crock, and our server even found us *the right* crackers. Seriously - Give Frisco a raise.
Our turkey dinners were fantastic and the sides were even better.
We took our dessert to go.
This was the best Thanksgiving I've had with my mom in a long time. Thank you for making that possible.“
