“Service and food slowly deteriorating as expected. We have been to the restaurant around 12-15 times since they opened. Initial visits were good but lately we have seen steady decline in their service.
In our last visit a male employee who seemed to be the manager/owner took our order and completely ignored the details. e.g. Asked for chillis in the veg uttapam and a soft mysore masala dosa with masala on the side. We have ordered this many times in the past and it arrived as ordered until this time. Chillis missing in the Uttapam and dosa was crunchy with masala inside. It is not a big deal but their attention to detail in listening to the customer seems to be vanishing as they have become popular in the area. I wish another good dosa place opens in the area so the quality remains in check. Another observation is that they are now skimping on the quantity of some chutneys as you can see in the picture. Food taste has been consistent over all.“

“We ordered Chettinadu curry and butter naan — both were super tasty! The curry was spicy and had that real South Indian flavor, and the naan was soft, buttery, and really big in size. Loved the food and the overall experience. Definitely a 5-star meal for me!“

“This restaurant is attached to a gas station run by a Gujarati family. Pratik Patel and his entire family are involved from prep to serving. Best quality and fresh food will be served and it's an open kitchen you can walk around and see pretty clean. We had Masala dosa, theplas, dhokla and undhiyo“

“Recently ordered panini sandwiches (chicken and paneer) for a lunch party and all our guests LOVED them. The bread was nice and thick to hold the tasty and well-cooked paneer /chicken along with salad-like filler material. Great portion size, reasonably priced, and the order was ready on time. Samosas were also very good! Cakes were awesome as well - both black forest and butterscotch. True to their name!“

“Royal Taj is our go-to restaurant for special occasions, like our 20th Wedding Anniversary last week. It never fails to deliver excellence. Because it was a very special dinner, we decided to try something different. So my wife ordered the Lobster Malabar and I ordered the Grilled Halibut. Both were very good, especially the Halibut which was covered in an outstanding Corn Relish. To top off the evening our excellent server, Joshi, brought us a slice of very tasty cheesecake with a lit candle on top. As usual we cannot rave loud and often enough about Royal Taj and it is all due to the GM Binda, who is very friendly, charismatic and truly sets the tone of excellence at Royal Taj.“

“I really enjoyed the food I had, starting with the vegetable samosa, and for my meal, I had the lamb shahi korma. I took an order of the butter chicken home with me. I also had the butter naan and a mango lassi with my meal. I really enjoy Indian food and this location is very convenient and close to my home. I will definitely come here again and will have their lunch buffet.“

“These guys make very good food, and they are very eager to please. They have two menus, one with American food like pizza and burgers and fried chicken, and the other with Indian food. Personally I like their non-curry dishes. It is quite spicy and never bland. Tonight I had the chicken thigh dinner which was very soft and spicy. It was fantastic. They also seemed to have invested a good amount of money into this place. Nice quality interior and good parking outside. The owner and the hostess both came to the table personally and asked us about how the food tastes. These people really care.“

“We have been eating at Taj palace a lot over the past month.. as we are in the process of our move to Owings Mills. Each time we have eaten there, the food has been outstanding and really delicious. The service is amazing and an excellent overall dining experience! Very friendly and polite staff! “If you’re looking for typical South Indian style biryani, this is your place. The prices are very reasonable and the taste is beyond amazing. They have many options in veg and non-veg appetizers and entrees. Their desserts are also amazing.“

“While this won’t stop us from ordering their delicious food again, tonight’s experience just wasn’t the same. I ordered the family package with vegetarian Biryani, which included raita, salan, plain rice, naam, and chicken curry. We got our order and it was missing the salan. I called the restaurant and got the weirdest explanation. “It’s a very small container. They make a large container and if it runs out. But it’s just a small container of peanut sauce.” I don’t care what the size of the container is, it’s advertised as a package and I expect everything in the order.“

“Hands down the best Indian food I’ve had in Owings Mills — every dish was bursting with flavor! If you’re anywhere near Owings Mills and craving Indian food, you need to check out Tikka Shack. We dined in as a family and tried a huge variety of dishes — and honestly, everything was outstanding. We tried everything at house spice - there were addition levels of heat for those interested. We had the Shrimp Coconut Tacos, Paneer Butter Taco, Tikka Pizza with chicken, Chicken Biryani, Mango Lassi, Ras Malai, Street Style Chaat (both the samosa and potato versions), Tikka Masala, Garlic Naan, and Samosas. For drinks we had fountain coke, Maasa Lychee, and Tractor Orange Cadamon. Every dish had its own personality — from the bold spices to the fresh garnishes — and each one was delicious. The restaurant itself is super clean with plenty of seating, and the staff couldn’t have been friendlier. We even ordered some extra to bring home for our lunches the next day! All in all - we all left happy and full! Highly recommend this spot — it’s perfect for families, groups, or even takeout if you just want seriously good Indian grub at home.“

“Food was delicious. Only gripe was that I ordered the app sampler and they were out of one of the items. No big deal but I wish I was told. No discount was offered even requested but was responded with “well that’s still enough food”

Janet was very nice. She basically runs the place. Host, server, bartender…she did every thing but cook.

It’s a little dark in the restaurant but they do have individual lights do help out if you are struggling to see the menu.

“Every time I get something here I am blown away with how amazing it is! They have the BEST veggie pizza I’ve ever had - lots of veggies yet not soggy at all and full of flavor. Their chicken wings are also some of the best I’ve ever had. Their Indian cuisine is authentic and delicious. I’m often nervous when I see a restaurant with such a large and diverse menu but somehow Arlon’s totally pulls it off and everything is outstanding!“
