“They were extremely short staffed the day we went, this resulted in our appetizer sitting under a heat lamp too long. I imagine it would have been awesome were it not for the fact that it sat too long before it was served. The server did the best they could under the circumstancesWheelchair accessibility: I would not consider this wheelchair accessible“
“This is a MUST try when in Gettysburg I was told and they were right! The French onion soup is AMAZING and where else can you go to eat in a building as old as America itself? Service was great and lunch time tavern was only a ten minute wait. I also had some giant asparagus and they were really good as well! Glad to say we tried here and I would absolutely recommend and come back myself!“
“Fun place with good service, huge portions, and a nice atmosphere. We had several different dishes, with both house tomato sauce and a cream sauce. We like the cream sauce better, but it's just down to preference. Meats were delicious and it was overall a great meal.“
“Service is impeccable. You feel like you've stepped back in time with your ancestors and are dining with them. The period costumes help take you back in time. Food was excellent! All is delicious but I must point out a star in the menu. The hearty onion soup (actually thick like a stew is the best I've ever had! It's been several months since I've been there and it's still remarkable in my mind. I find myself comparing every French onion soups to this one and they cannot measure up to this one!“
“I went here for a late breakfast with my friend. We both got the Philadelphia Cheesesteak, with fries, waters, I got a Pepsi and he had a hot chocolate. The cheesesteak here is one of the best I've ever had, outside of Philly. The meat was fully cooked but not dry, the bread was perfectly toasted and didn't cut my mouth up, and the cheese was melted through the whole sandwich. It also comes with sautéed onions and peppers, I had mine without onions and light on the peppers. They came with lettuce, sliced tomato and pickle slices on the side. The fries were hot and salty, size was between McDonald's and BK fries. The portion looked like at least a big potato's worth of fries, it was a sizeable pile. They came with cups of ketchup and some white sauce (I think a horseradish sauce, I didn't try it).My friend said the hot chocolate was very hot, but good. My Pepsi was, well, a Pepsi. Our waiter was very professional, he told us about a fish taco special and checked on us a couple times during our meal. The only reason I gave the atmosphere 4/5 stars is because they're in the middle of renovations, but it looks really good on the inside/open section despite the construction.“
“Dinner was great, we had planned to originally go somewhere else but stumbled upon it walking downtown. We were greeted by the wonderful staff and were seated promptly. They have plenty of great Italian cuisine to choose from. I would whole heartedly recommend the Delmonico steak or the ceaser salad, both items were excellent. Our experience was great from start to finish my only complaint being that the restaurant was probably 75 degrees and I felt like I was sweating the entire time but it hardly stopped us from having a good time. We will be back in the future!“
“Currently operating as the Federal Point Grill, this charming place is serving Breakfast and Lunch while serving dinner out of the Federal Point Inn Pub. I’d like to tell everyone to stay away from this place and that the food is not good and overpriced but that is the farthest thing from the truth. The food is delicious and plentiful, (try the best tasting pancakes we’ve ever had). The price was less than what we would have spent at a fast food joint. The staff was friendly and helpful. The reason we want everyone to stay away is so we can always visit and have the place to ourselves but I guess that would be rather selfish. I can’t wait until the open Dunlop’s back up and serve dinner too!“
“My husband and i are traveling the country and we stopped in Gettysburgh for a few days. We were looking for a nice good meal.Drove by Hosss and decided to try them. What a wonderful meal and the steaks were the best we have ever eaten and the salad bar was great. You had a soup bar, a salad bar, and a dessert bar.Our server was Madison and she did a awsome job.I would highly recommend this resturant if you are looking for a great meal“
“Thank you Tori for great service! The MD crabs and snow crab legs were the bomb. Disappointed there was no broasted chicken. Shrimp and Hush puppies were awesome too! Suggestion everyone to go for the All you Can Eat! You won't regret it!Kid-friendliness: High chairs availableWheelchair accessibility: Ramps available to use.“
“Me and my girls pick a new restaurant every Tuesday night and this one was recommended to us by one of our clients and it did not disappoint! I love that they only serve PA liquors & wines! We arrived a little after 4pm without reservations and we were seated right away. The bartender seemed a bit flustered but eventually warmed up. I ordered the french onion soup (delicious), steak (perfectly cooked medium) and the bread and garlic mashed potatoes it came with were glorious! Prices were very reasonable. My experience was great, our server was friendly and accommodating. I would definitely return for another fabulous dinner!“
“My partner and I came here after a session at Liberty Mountain Resort, about 10 mins away. Had a great time, there was a house pianist playing while we dined. Our server was gracious and the food pretty good. I ordered the Ahi Tuna for an appetizer, 10 straps with wasabi aioli, ginger and soy sauce. For my entree, I tried The Emmitsburg, named after the town its in. Roast beef cooked medium well with mashed potatoes and asparagus on top of garlic toast. For dessert, we tried the blackberry sorbet ice cream. Not too sweet, so she enjoyed. She also enjoyed the Moscato punch with her entree.“
