“Transport yourself back to the old-fashioned lunch counters at this charming mom & pop shop. The nostalgic decor captures the essence of simpler times, emphasizing that quality food doesn't require modernization. However, keep in mind that this establishment operates on a cash-only basis. Despite occasional crowding, the efficient staff ensures prompt order fulfillment, maintaining a smooth dining experience. Immerse yourself in the cozy atmosphere and indulge in their delicious offerings, reminiscent of homemade comfort food.“
“Jimmy T’s Place never disappoints. Kyle and the rest of the staff are alway friendly, attentive and eager to make customers feel welcome and liven up the day. No matter how busy, they always have time for you. The food is delicious and homemade. Jimmy T’s is the highlight of every trip to DC.“
“We were recommended a pop tart here and there was so much more! Breakfast was delicious. Pop tart made a nice treat that lasted us 2 days. The owner personally greeted our table and gave us some helpful advice for navigating the city. If we ever find ourselves in MD again we will definitely be back!! Food 10/10 Atmosphere 10/10 (Baltimore location has a cute playground in front!! Perfect for post pancake sugar high for a kiddo) Staff 10/10“
“This is something I would call a "if you know then you know" type of place. The location is not the best unless you live in the neighborhood, quick bite to eat good service, consistent food. The owners have been there a long time and we appreciate it.“
“I was new to the area they have best chicken wings and crisp toss salad , I gave my name for my order I was called by my name each time I came in at least 3 times a week.made me feel special.the pies are delicious too.service was quick pleasant employees.“
“Seriously the best hand pie I have ever had!!! The crust was so delicious and flaky. Muffins are full of flavor and just the right size! To top it off it is the most affordable breakfast in town. Definitely a must stop in D.C. for breakfast. Plus the staff is super kind and dedicated to their work. 5++++ stars!“
“The food and service is top notch. Both items were fresh and delicious. Angel, our waitress provided excellent customer service and I love the restaurant's overall vibe. There's a varied menu with seasonal items with fairly large proportions and reasonable prices.I highly recommend First Watch. They open early at 7am and close at 2:30pm. So don't miss out!“
“My exercise partner and I were looking for a place that wasn't local. We chose this location because it was 4.2 stars and roughly 30 minutes from our house. The first thing we noticed as we got closer to the entrance was that all of the windows in this property had steel bars covering them. I instantly thought, "We will be completely protected inside if there is a riot between the police and gangs outside." I discovered that you need to be buzzed in by the owner to enter the restaurant as I was reaching to open the entrance.“
“Earlybird does not get enough attention as a breakfast option in DC, but it's solid for breakfast burritos and now breakfast tacos. I usually try to stop by if I'm in Navy Yard. I had a burrito that was good during a previous visit and I recently tried two of their breakfast tacos - the Simplistico and steak tacos. Plus, you get two choices of sauce. I got the dark red and green. I ordered at the single self-order kiosk inside the tiny store. It took a little less than 15 minutes to come out with two tacos. I took them both home after, but there's a few tables that make up their outdoor patio seating if you want to eat it right away. The Simplistico was my favorite and close enough to what I can get back in Texas. The steak was okay for me. Both the sauces went well with the tacos. Not too spicy. They also have fried chicken tacos, which I want to come back to try.“
“Hands down one of the best places. I really enjoy looking at the pictures of past boxers. The hours reflect the business for early morning workers.Parking: There is parking in front and on the side. Please park in parking spot and not in front of building.“
“The best Cullen Skink ever. I’ve had Cullen Skink in a few of the local establishments and theirs is not a patch on Lily’s Cafe. Huge chunks of smoked fish in creamy soup to die for. The huge ham, cranberry and Brie toasted sandwiches were brilliant. Lovely wee family run cafe in Cullen’s main Street. Quite small inside. The home baked scones and other delicious cakes ( I had the fruit scone and my other half had the chocolate Rocky Road) were wonderful. I noticed locals would pop in for takeaway’s whilst we were there. Couple next to us travelled through from Maud, based on the Cullen Skink reputation as we did from Forres. I recommend this cafe. The prices were not expensive either. This is a total 5 Star recommendation… oh, in case I forget. Very dog friendly too.“
“This is a chill place nothing extra just a get ya food and eat in or out. They package it for you to go but you’re welcome to stay. I’m from CT . I came here with the Hubby for my bday getaway and I said let me try this place. I love the food you get big portions and the prices are alright and the people are lovely..“
“Wow. What a treat! Reasonably priced carry-out breakfast and lunch kitchen near the Navy Yard. No indoor or outdoor seating. Portions were large. Food was delicious. We tried pancakes, French toast, waffles and bacon breakfast sandwiches over several days and were never disappointed. I heard from other patrons that the fish sub was also great, but didn't get a chance to try it. Closed on Sunday. We tried some other places nearby, and none of them compared. Thanks ladies!!“
“My husband loves this carryout for breakfast sandwiches and other breakfast items. They are pretty fast and use fresh ingredients. Everything is made to order for your request. The place is small as its name indicates. The White corner. The store draws a good amount of people;mainly working people. The food is very good, cooked in front of you.“
“This place is a local staple for many city workers as it is in close proximity to large government facilities. They do have limited hours so plan to visit early. The food is pretty decent and prices are very fair. The owners are quite hospitable and provide an overall great experience.“
“The moment we arrived, my nephew and I received outstanding service. The ambience was spacious and well-kept, and the food was tasty, fresh, and filling. The service was courteous and quite professional. Kaylah Williams, our waiter, had a nice and pleasant manner. Definitely, the rest of the family and I will be returning!“
“It's a whole in the wall but everything I tried so far was great. The food tasted homemade and the price reasonable. The staff were super friendly over the phone and in person. I am not a fan of their sugary drink selection. Wish they had healthier drink options.“
“I have to say that I appreciate a set small menu offering that is done right. You'll get this at SBP. With a sandwich chips and drink, expect to pay around $15. That's a good price for DC. Even during the rush it only took about 5 minutes to order and get my food. That's fast for made to order meals. All in all, I was impressed. Give them a try.“
“My server was amazing for the 2nd time around . Polite, engaging, attention to detail, and very knowledgeable for ordering details on menu specials, add-ons and discounts. I wish I could remember how to spell her name because she deserves a special recognition. But God knows who b I'm talking about. Her salutation is always, " See you next time" !!.“
