The service is always excellent and tonight we went for the birthday of my friend that is town from Texas and she absolutely loved the food and had a wonderful time as did I!“

“Royal Taj is our go-to restaurant for special occasions, like our 20th Wedding Anniversary last week. It never fails to deliver excellence. Because it was a very special dinner, we decided to try something different. So my wife ordered the Lobster Malabar and I ordered the Grilled Halibut. Both were very good, especially the Halibut which was covered in an outstanding Corn Relish. To top off the evening our excellent server, Joshi, brought us a slice of very tasty cheesecake with a lit candle on top. As usual we cannot rave loud and often enough about Royal Taj and it is all due to the GM Binda, who is very friendly, charismatic and truly sets the tone of excellence at Royal Taj.“

“Small cafe, hidden away in a generic strip mall, but serving delicious Indian food with a fresh homemade taste. Probably the best garlic naan I've ever had! So flavorful. Excellent samosas too; not dry, as they sometimes are at other places. The chicken jalfrezi was a hit! Washed it all down with a soothing cup of masala chai. Friendly and welcoming service too. A great experience all round! Go pay them a visit! You won't be disappointed.“

“I really enjoyed the food I had, starting with the vegetable samosa, and for my meal, I had the lamb shahi korma. I took an order of the butter chicken home with me. I also had the butter naan and a mango lassi with my meal. I really enjoy Indian food and this location is very convenient and close to my home. I will definitely come here again and will have their lunch buffet.“

“These guys make very good food, and they are very eager to please. They have two menus, one with American food like pizza and burgers and fried chicken, and the other with Indian food. Personally I like their non-curry dishes. It is quite spicy and never bland. Tonight I had the chicken thigh dinner which was very soft and spicy. It was fantastic. They also seemed to have invested a good amount of money into this place. Nice quality interior and good parking outside. The owner and the hostess both came to the table personally and asked us about how the food tastes. These people really care.“

“While this won’t stop us from ordering their delicious food again, tonight’s experience just wasn’t the same. I ordered the family package with vegetarian Biryani, which included raita, salan, plain rice, naam, and chicken curry. We got our order and it was missing the salan. I called the restaurant and got the weirdest explanation. “It’s a very small container. They make a large container and if it runs out. But it’s just a small container of peanut sauce.” I don’t care what the size of the container is, it’s advertised as a package and I expect everything in the order.“

Food in general (Chicken Tikka Masala, Butter Naan, Muligatawny Soup, Papadam Wafers, Pistachio Khulfi Ice Cream) is excellent, and the Chicken Pakoras in particular are simply THE BEST I’ve ever had at any Indian restaurant. “They claim to be the best Indian restaurant in the area… and they are absolutely correct.
The food is SO GOOD and the portion sizes are top-tier. We had a family dinner of five people with three meals and had leftovers for the next day.“

“I visited Basamati earlier in the year and have made several trips back since. It’s a quiet little treasure tucked away. Lunch and dinner are highly recommended. The lunch buffet is a nice offering to try some of more than one dish. I love Indian cuisine and appreciate having this delicious option as a local stop. Tanya is a joy. She makes great recommendations after consulting with what you're looking to feast on.“

“We got tired of ordering from the same place one night so I decided to try this place and did not regret it. The food was excellent! Most delivery is greasy and sloppy. This was cooked well and even packaged neatly, we were both impressed. Definitely looking forward to exploring the menu a little more, the prices are fair and delivery was faster than expected.
