“I've been here 3 times and this place is probably my current favorite bar in the city. The drinks, the food, the vibes, and the service are all impeccable. I keep bringing out of towners and everyone loves it.
I've had pretty much every drink and food item on the menu and they're each unique and worth trying. I particularly like the elevated papusas and michelada feels fancy yet somehow still authentic. However, the Ni de Aqui Ni de Alla drink perfectly summarizes the place and fits well with their current Top 50 Latin playlist in the background. You don't often hear Bad Bunny, Ozuna, and the latest Shakira in high-end cocktail bars. While anyone can feel at home here, it's a particular joy to those who've lived in Latin America.
Note that it's generally reservation only and quite intimate with just a bar area downstairs and about 3 small tables upstairs.“

“This my first time here and it was probably one of the best experience I’ve ever had at a bar in DC . I’ll definitely be back for my birthday next week. Love the atmosphere“

“My best friend and I stumbled upon Tap 99 and loved what we saw regarding the drink wall. The staff was great in explaining how it worked, gave excellent recommendations, and the food was off the charts! Lots of TVs with sports games. Indoor and outdoor seating options. Highly recommend!“

“Royal sands is amazing! We’ve been a couple times before but just hosted my boyfriend’s 25th birthday there and they were fantastic! They gave us the VIP treatment. The drinks and the food were all amazing as the staff! Thank you again!“

“I always just passed by this place in a hurry on the way to drop my kid off to school.
Today I decided to stop and try their Italian version of croissants.
Most of all , the service was amazing!
One of the people works there helped me was Maxwell.
He took a lot of time with smile to explain Italian pastries and coffee (They serve coffee from the oldest roaster in Italy!) He was such a jewel!
Thanks Maxwell! Your recommendation of apricots cornetto
It was excellent!“

“So, here's the thing...feeling welcomed as soon as you walk in to a place you have never been before means so much. My husband and I were visiting DC. We were checking out places to eat near our hotel. We stopped in at Tune Inn. It was packed! The bar and all tables were full. The bartender welcomed us right away even though he was super busy. He told us to order a beer and hang out...the next table was ours. He handed us a happy hour drink menu and we did just that. Our waitress was on the ball. She was handling more tables than humanly possible but she made it look easy. Food was delicious!!!! An excellent find on our trip and obviously busy for a reason.“

“This place is intoxicating!! The decor is very Gatsbyesque! Totally cool private gin club speakeasy vibe. Went here for after dinner drinks with my girlfriends and it really hit the mark! The cocktails were gorgeous and delicious! I recommend the Gimlet. Staff was attentive and knowledgeable. It was a perfect ending to our girls trip and I can't wait to bring my husband for date night!!! Highly recommend!“

“The Haymaker is a great cocktail bar and has some of the best and hardest working bartenders in DC. When we arrived, the bar counter seats were almost full. Three cocktails in and the whole place was packed with 90/95% having cocktails, our refills still came quickly. Why only 4 star? They have changed the food menu and not for the better. The dumplings are still great. We also had the quesadilla. My wife liked it, I thought it was generic. We both thought the loaded tots were a major fail, the 'load', what little there was of it, had all fallen off and was in the bottom of the bowl. The draft beer choice is also weak, with Goose Island being their premium beer. I hope they change up their menu for the better.“

“It's a VIBE. The drinks are delicious, and everyone in the space is there to throw a party. Cocktail bars can be intimidating sometimes, but the people at Bar Betsie will make sure you're comfortable. I'm in love with the mirror on the back wall. The bar is in proximity to a lot of restaurants, both casual and upscale, which makes it super easy to make it there either before or after dinner.“

“Highly recommend this fun cocktail bar! We held a private event at Trouble Bird a couple of weeks ago, and it went so well! The location is perfect for a buy-out with a small group. Intimate enough while not feeling too small, and comfortable enough for everyone to sit and mingle.
Justin and Chris did an amazing job! The food was SO good, service was great, and the cocktails (including NA options!) were excellent! They took the time to work with us on the menu of drinks and food, which made our event feel special.“

“Food was good, but the quantity was scarce. I didn’t get everything they offered though so that could be why. Didn’t notice much vegetarians or vegan options. Music was good, they tried to be inclusive. Bathroom was clean. The hostesses were attentive and prompt. There was a mixed crowd.“

Gina the owner could not have been any more accommodating to our group. Needless to say they went above and beyond for us.
The drinks kept coming and the food was simple and great!

“Very adult but relaxed lodge like atmosphere with great staff. An adult play room is more of what comes to mind. You can have a bite to eat with adult beverages play UNO with extra large cards, extra large scale Jenga, extra large oversized connect 4 or in there case connect 6. I have been here 3 times already and plan to visit again. Great date night or fun friends get together spot.“

“What a cute concept! I’ve heard about Metrobar but finally went recently. During the cooler evenings, there are heaters for the outside seatings, and inside the car is just as toasty.
Ordering is a little weird. You can order drinks from the bar or scan the QR code. However, when using the QR code, the drinks come from outside, not made by the bartender in the metro car.
There’s also food on side where you can go outside and order or you can scan the food QR code. However, ordering from the QR code, you have to pick up the food a little ways down from the bar.
Now that the concept is more understood, it’ll be easier for me to order more appropriately.“

“Free 3 hr parking, the best service and the lounge at the lobby bar is fabulous!“
“Quality and taste wise amazing! The lamb could’ve been bigger portions but the chicken schnitzel was ample portions. The drinks were delicious. Would be interested in coming back for the chefs tasting menu. The bartender Mike Ross was super friendly and a delight to talk to!
Gave it a 4 because I felt the drinks could’ve been stronger for the price and the lamb portions could’ve been bigger. The shrimp appetizer was also a bit too salty.
The rooftop was a vibe for sure. Looked beautiful once the sun started setting!
Dietary restrictions: Weren’t able to modify dishes to fit dairy free but suggested dishes on their menu that were dairy free.“

“Ok, so I WANT to love this bar. Good drinks, reasonable prices and dog friendly! The thing is, I really want it to have more of a neighborhood bar feel. Especially after I learned it was a recently affiliated Bills bar! (GO Bills)! But the Bills flag is tucked away in a corner near the kitchen so not many people know this. Recommendation to management: 1.) put a Bills flag out front to bring more fans in. 2.) deck the bar out in more Bills swag 3.) Add a few more drafts to the menu.
Will be back on a Sunday for a Bills game!“

“I came to the rooftop after a long day after work. Although the food and drinks were amazing, my highlight was KiKi. I was greeted with a smile and nothing less. I received water first (which is always appreciated) and never had to wait for another drink. Overall, after a long day I appreciate how the service, food, and drinks all turned out.“

“I've been to District Alley on H St and District Alley on U St. The three owners Nate, Danielle and Marq are very hospitable and kind. The atmosphere is very welcoming. They have notable DJ's who spin at both spots, the drinks are on point and so is the food. I highly recommend you check them out.“
“Great place to either pregame or hang out at in the shade during a hot summer game. Plenty of space plus standing-room-only tables. To get here you can walk up the stairs from the Brewhouse below, or take the escalators up to the second level of the stadium and then walk across the concourse behind the scoreboard.“

“This was easy when staying at the Crown, nice atmosphere with happy hour until 6pm. Service is great and food is good for a small menu but great choices. I had grilled chicken thighs on rice with a side salad and it was very tasty. I’m back again but just with chicken Caesar salad, good beer and drink choices too.“
