“First and foremost, be prepared to spend money if you come here. My bill was nearly $90 for just me. But, I had the best fried pickles I've ever had, a delicious chicken cordon blue grilled cheese sandwich, and many different craft brews which were all fantastic. The fruit beer in my pic is one of the best beers I've ever had. I love the self-pour, self-order system, but it's just pricey. Still, the whole experience was 5 stars for me!“

“This place is intoxicating!! The decor is very Gatsbyesque! Totally cool private gin club speakeasy vibe. Went here for after dinner drinks with my girlfriends and it really hit the mark! The cocktails were gorgeous and delicious! I recommend the Gimlet. Staff was attentive and knowledgeable. It was a perfect ending to our girls trip and I can't wait to bring my husband for date night!!! Highly recommend!“

“This review is dedicated to those reviewers who say Ama’s food is either ‘bland’ or they were ‘still hungry’ after eating there-
this is because you are used to eating at restaurants that use fake ingredients and artificial flavor enhancers, as do most in the country, so sorry but you have no idea what real food tastes like. Ama makes real food, intentionally and wholeheartedly. They partner with local farmers, cook with real ingredients, and create a menu that will leave you feeling satiated and wonderful, as my friends and i did even after we ate through the menu AND ordered 4 desserts at the end.
so yeah, their food isn’t ‘bland’ , you probably have just never tasted food that wasn’t grown in a lab and loaded with artificial flavoring and addictive chemicals. try harder!“

“I hosted my 25th birthday party at Royal Sands this past weekend and had the most incredible time!! Rachel and the rest of her VIP team made planning the event seamless and they were so helpful leading up to the event. They took care of everything day-of so I didn't have to worry about a single thing except enjoying my event! The food was absolutely delicious, the drinks were amazing, and the music was excellent. If you're looking to host a party or event, you should definitely check out Royal Sands!“

“Today, I tried Fight Club. I found their lunch menu offered unique combinations of sandwiches and sides. Each sandwich contained flavors one might not normally pair. I enjoyed a Genoa Salami and Coleslaw Sandwich! It was absolutely fantastic! I’d place it in my top 5 sandwiches ever! If you’re looking for a wonderful dining experience, check out Fight Club DC!“

“We went there 3 evenings in a row. Bar at the top, waiter on Wednesday at the top, waitress on Thursday at the top. On the other hand, the waitress on Friday evening, a STÉPHANIE H, no smile and not pleasant. Too bad for the bar. We will not return for 4 evenings.“

“Super hip and cute vibes. JJ is the best axe throwing trainer!! He taught our group all the basics and continued to help us improve our skills! He was really patient and is an excellent teacher. We had so much fun playing all the different games, who knew tic tac toe with an axe spin could be so competitive and so fun!
Vegetarian options: Vegetarian taco, guac and chips“

“A cute little dive bar! Certainly got busy, which was nice, though it bordered too crowded at some points. This is really not the fault of the bar though, and shows instead that it’s loved by the community! Drinks were reasonably priced and darts were free to play.“

“Edit: metrobar responded and the parent was a contractor, not associated with the business. Other than the strange experience with him, metrobar was lovely and had delicious drinks, perfect before seeing a movie.
I had a disturbing experience at metrobar tonight (12/6 at around 6 PM). A man working , in his late 30s/early 40s, left his 3-year-old daughter unattended in a busy bar at night. The little girl was clearly scared and looking for her dad, who did nothing to ensure her safety. She wandered around the bar, playing with guests and talking to strangers, without supervision.
It is deeply troubling to see a child left alone in a dark corner of a bar, without a jacket, and with no one to ensure she doesn’t wander out the door. When I finally got the man’s attention and confronted him about his negligence, he got defensive, claiming others were watching her. However, it’s not the bartenders’ or bussers’ job to babysit. It’s his responsibility to keep his child safe.
Whoever this man was, owner or manager, shame on you. You’re very lucky your child stayed safe tonight. This experience makes it hard to support this business, and I doubt I will ever be back to support metrobar :(“

“The hookah experience was absolutely amazing! I tried the Blueberry Mint flavor, and it was smooth and refreshing—definitely one of the best I’ve had. A special shoutout to Hennessy for providing top-notch service. He was attentive, professional, and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish.
I also appreciated the cleanliness—everything was spotless, with fresh new hoses and high-quality equipment. Hennessy’s excellent customer service and great vibe truly made the experience unforgettable. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for an exceptional hookah night. Five stars all the way!“

“I went to Hen Quarter Prime for Brunch on a Sunday and the food at the buffet was great, the only thing I wish was the crab legs were steamed instead of being on ice. But I understand that is difficult to do for a buffet setup. Z gave amazing service, my cup for the bottomless mimosa stayed runneth over. I will definitely be returning.“

“The chicken mole California burrito was really really good - specifically the tortilla and the mole and beans. Everything tasted homemade and delicious. The carnitas super burrito was also really well made and the guacamole was good.
The cold brew was the best cold brew I’ve tried (I’ve had about 10) - it was really chocolatey and delicious.
The reasons for 4 stars is that I didn’t like how the portions were a bit small for the price. The chips and guac was $12 and seemed to involve about 1 or 2 avocados.
The burritos were filling - appreciated and needed the salsa verde that came with them! But still a bit pricy.
These views might also be influenced by the fact I felt pressured by the card machine at the register to tip more than 20% before the food came. The first screen that pops up when paying has only 3 suggested tips: 25, 22, and 20% - the highest I’ve seen on one of these apps. In total it came to $63 for 2 burritos, 1 chips and guac, and 2 cold brew coffees including tip which feels very expensive. We also were accosted by wasps on the patio that tried to get into our food, so that’s a reason for the 4 star atmosphere.
Nevertheless I would recommend this place - if you’re not worried about the price and savvy enough to tip appropriately/not accidentally.
I am confident they are some of the best burritos you can get in the area, and cold brew!“

“The Upper Crust Bakery is the best bakery I have ever been too. When I was patronizing Upper Crust it was located in Silver Spring. We now live in Upper Marlboro, but I continued to come all the way from Upper Marlboro to Silver Spring just to come to Upper Crust. It's such a wonderful place to shop for all your sweets and breads. I'm still waiting to find out if there is one near me. I love your UPPER CRUST!!!! ********** <3“

“The restaurant's location inside the Cambria Hotel is convenient, especially for sports fans, as it is only a short walk away from Nationals Park and Audi Field. Being able to enjoy a delicious brunch and then easily attend a game or event is definitely a plus. The brunch was buffet style, and I must say, I am not usually a fan of buffets, but I was pleasantly surprised by the food. The brunch offered bottomless mimosas, so it's best to arrive early to make the most of the experience and fully enjoy the unlimited mimosas. My favorite dish was the shrimp and grits.“

“Quality and taste wise amazing! The lamb could’ve been bigger portions but the chicken schnitzel was ample portions. The drinks were delicious. Would be interested in coming back for the chefs tasting menu. The bartender Mike Ross was super friendly and a delight to talk to!
Gave it a 4 because I felt the drinks could’ve been stronger for the price and the lamb portions could’ve been bigger. The shrimp appetizer was also a bit too salty.
The rooftop was a vibe for sure. Looked beautiful once the sun started setting!
Dietary restrictions: Weren’t able to modify dishes to fit dairy free but suggested dishes on their menu that were dairy free.“

“This was easy when staying at the Crown, nice atmosphere with happy hour until 6pm. Service is great and food is good for a small menu but great choices. I had grilled chicken thighs on rice with a side salad and it was very tasty. I’m back again but just with chicken Caesar salad, good beer and drink choices too.“
