“I come here every now and then and i must say out of all the cafes with baked goods in baltimore. This cute cafe tucked away in the ambassador apartments has the best savory breakfast pastries. There cakes and sweet pastries are phenomenal as well. The matcha cheesecake is bar none. And the coffee is solid too. I have no idea why anyone would ever choose to go to a chain like starbucks. You can’t call in to order and have to order online. It tells you a pickup time. We arrived exactly at the pickup time and the pizza was warm but not hot. The app doesn’t seem to properly track the order, as it said the order was not yet even being prepared when we tried to track it (pizza was ready). I’m not sure if I’ll go back for this reason.“

If I had to critique the place it would be they need a 2nd barista, or a cheap intercom system. The tiny place only holds 6 people (and a dog!) and 5 of those are standing around waiting for their coffee.“

Joey, the new manager settled into his role quickly just this year and is very engaging, friendly, and happy to help customers directly alongside his team. Alyssa is another fantastic worker and leader in the team. Always paying attention and focused on keeping everything in order and working efficiently. The whole team performs well. “I was in a pickle and needed logos printed on edible paper. I am in the DC area and called about 30 places and no one could print. Some even told me they could and I showed up and then surprise they couldn't.

I googled places near me and surprise someone has the printer and materials to do it. I called them and they were able to help me. I was so grateful and the staff was so helpful and nice. I would highly recommend the cake plus team!“

“Swing by this bakery that’s been highly recommended by many friends who work at the Hopkins. My problem was that I came in the late afternoon, 90 mins before they’re closed. Therefore, they ran out of classic and almond croissants. Fine, I picked Spinach & Ricotta, Apple turnover, and Walnut danish. I did not try any of their desserts as I would like to make sure I like their pastries first before overspending if unworthy. The bakeries look very outdated and needed a makeover. This is a 100% take out bakery. No standing or seating inside. After I got home, tried the spinach & ricotta croissant, which was excellent but could be better. The layers can be improved. The next morning, I tried the walnut danish and apple turnover. They are unusually not sweet compared to the normal pasties sold from other bakeries. This is a GOOD thing but may not be the preferred sweetness level for the majority.
