When you walk into the store you're greeted by the delicious smell of baked bread and the welcoming smiles of it's owners Maya Muñoz and Russell Trimmer . They have always gone out of their way to only bake with the finest and freshest ingredients often from locally sourced farms. My husband and I have also found that they are able to create such new and imaginative delicacies that are always too tempting to pass up! “Usually have to get here early to get your hands on a pastry so was delighted to pull it off. Coffee is Ceremony, so that was yummy. The pastries are always interesting combinations of flavors I would never normally think of so their menu is always fun to look over.

Had a s’mores cookie on the spot and a crepe brûlée tart for later. Both were delicious! Tried The crab sando too; I wish had a little more of the sandwich filling to balance the bread but was still tasty.“

Joey, the new manager settled into his role quickly just this year and is very engaging, friendly, and happy to help customers directly alongside his team. Alyssa is another fantastic worker and leader in the team. Always paying attention and focused on keeping everything in order and working efficiently. The whole team performs well. But she routinely performs above the standard.“

“Cakes Plus was awesome. I purchased two cakes within 3 months. One being a wedding and the other was a Sweet 16. From sitting down with flavor options to the patience of our design selection, these ladies were professional and knowledgeable. During the pickup, the representative was patient with explaining how to debox the wedding cake. I was surprised and grateful to hear of the free anniversary tier. We returned two days later for the Sweet 16 cake. They accommodated us by adding some details on the spot. Thanks for making our weekend festivities a success. I will add pics later.“

“Swing by this bakery that’s been highly recommended by many friends who work at the Hopkins. My problem was that I came in the late afternoon, 90 mins before they’re closed. Therefore, they ran out of classic and almond croissants. Fine, I picked Spinach & Ricotta, Apple turnover, and Walnut danish. I did not try any of their desserts as I would like to make sure I like their pastries first before overspending if unworthy. The bakeries look very outdated and needed a makeover. This is a 100% take out bakery. No standing or seating inside. After I got home, tried the spinach & ricotta croissant, which was excellent but could be better. The layers can be improved. The next morning, I tried the walnut danish and apple turnover. They are unusually not sweet compared to the normal pasties sold from other bakeries. This is a GOOD thing but may not be the preferred sweetness level for the majority.
