“250828 - By the time we reached Sparks, the muffins had begun to take effect; we were low on fuel, having come off the highway, aware wet were close to ‘Empty’ in unfamiliar country. Nervously looking for a gas station, ambling along our way back to Canada after a week in the capital. Some said we were brave to visit, we never minded, soaked it all in, we were just there to check on our American cousins, see how y’all were making out in a rather turbulent time. Loved the rolling countryside and gorgeous homes in the area - hmmm…a preserve of the ‘horsie set?’ we thought. Now, even lower on fuel, we caught the sign and stopped at TFS. We surveyed the place, quirky storefront and round the back which felt surprisingly, decidedly chill. Straightaway, we struck up a conversation with a friendly physical therapist, because we’re that kind of chatty. Had a spontaneous, lovely and wide-ranging chat including the whole family. A delicious milkshake, I think a cookie, and couple washroom breaks later, our new friend sent us on our way to the Exxon down the way and a nearby turnoff to get us back en route to the north land. Felt really good to meet a kind helpful soul along the way, the kind of people we wanted to show the kids, and we somehow knew we would certainly meet on our drive into NY, PA, MD, VA, DC. Now back in the land of the silver birch, home of Lord Stanley’s sport and the ‘double-double,’ I am just reading about your late friend Rosa and how much she’d touched you all and your beloved TFS :) Nice lil place. “I was intrigued by this coffee shop/bicycle repair combo. They said that during the warmer months it gets pretty busy here with cyclists and they have a nice parking lot and seating area outside that works perfect for that. They have a menu of options for food as well as pastries and coffee options. I had a pistachio almond milk latter with an almond croissant and both were delicious. Definitely a great place to stop if you are in the area whether you are on a bike or not!“

“I have been a Dough Run “regular” since shortly after they first opened. The food is wonderful. Unlike many other eateries, they have not gone to cheaper ingredients since the pandemic and you can tell by how fresh and tasty everything is. The sweets are amazing and if you are gluten-free they have an increasing number of items available for you. I highly recommend the gf/v “gruffins” and the lemon squares when available are not to be missed!“

“My daughter frequent Atwater's often simply because we live in the neighborhood. My visit today was disappointing. I ordered the Chicken Salad Sandwich and the Yellow Split Pea Soup. The first time I ordered that same sandwich it was made with more apples, what happened. There should be consistency in making the same sandwich in spite of the fact a different person makes them.“

“Nice, clean little Dunkin store snuggled in a wee strip mall shopping site. One of the smallest Dunkins I've ever visited actually. The staff member we encountered was professional and eager to take and fulfill our order. The drinks we ordered, both hot and cold, were made with care and tasted great. Also the Omelet bites were nice. The wrap was good but very messy. The bathroom was clean and supplied. It was quiet during our visit, as this was late in the afternoon. I'm guessing it may get very busy in the morning and be pretty crowded. There is no drive up service here, but it's a great little Dunkin and satisfied our needs perfectly.“

“It’s a pretty good Starbucks. It’s usually very busy during the week because it’s so small and on Loyola’s campus, so the wait for a drink can be up to an hour in the morning. Workers are all very friendly and it’s definitely a big social space on campus. I’ve also heard it’s the highest grossing Starbucks in the region.“

“Friendly, fast, plenty for places to sit. They asked if I was a professor which I thought was funny. It’s within the campus and there wasn’t a very obvious place to park but good for students.

I believe this Starbucks has been here for years and is right next to the main humanities building on Loyola campus. It’s on the other side of the quad (open grass area) from the chapel.

This is inside an academic building and was open on Sunday morning. I got a nice warm chocolate croissant (not part of my diet 😬) and my favorite which is a “Dirty Iced Matcha”. It’s a grande iced matcha with a shot of blonde roast espresso. Kind of has a little bit of cigarette taste but in the best possible nostalgic way! Weird but amazing.

Wheelchair accessibility: If you’re coming in from the center of campus the theater arts building has an automatic entrance and it’s right down the hallway from there.“

“I went to this location on 11/13/21. Two very nice girls were working at this location and it was completely slammed. There was probably 10 people waiting for drinks. A man was yelling at these poor girls who were working their butts off, complaining that his drinks were taking too long. He wanted them to stop what they were doing to page the supervisor and was very rude belittling them. They handled him well and were doing an amazing job! Wanted to share in case this man decides to list a nasty review! I got my drink in the rush in under 5 minutes & was delicious.“

“I’m from New York. I lived near a deli that made the absolute best egg sandwiches. Needless to say I was a big fan. I went to Roby’s and the gentleman at the front desk was very polite. I ordered a bacon egg and cheese sandwich and lo and behold the taste was excellent just like my New York Deli!
The sandwich was a bit small and only had one egg, but the taste is what matters and next time, which there will be, I’ll order two eggs.
The sandwich was done very quickly also important. Just a bit on the expensive side but fresh and very tasty so I won’t complain about that. I recommend this Roby’s deli for the best egg sandwich in Towson.“
