“I came here with a reservation to celebrate my birthday and the experience was well worth it. Getting to the restaurant was within walking distance of my hotel and easy to get to. I was greeted and quickly seated. Kim the server was amazing, they have a pianist in the center of the restaurant who is very good.I had a Large crab cake which came with a creamy sauce as an appetizer. The taste of the crab cake was good, but the sauce really made it stand out.I then had their Maine lobster which you have the option to get with, or without Imperial. The lobster is cooked then the inner-side is removed and stuffed with crab cake and shrimp in addition to the lobster then is placed back into the shell. I thought about adding the sauce that came with my appetizer but was concerned it would take away the seafood flavor and make everything too soggy. Im glad I didnt and just added lemons and the butter that already came with it.Whenever I come back to DC this will be my spot and will look forward to trying out their steaks.“
“My favorite hotel bar. Sophisticated, elegant, yet not pretentious. I'm not a vegetarian but the quinoa burger here is the only place I order a no meat burger. The prime burger is amazing too. Cocktails are fresh. The Sancerre is nice.“
“I went to RARE recently for the first time for a date night. When we walked in, we were greeted and offered to take our coats for us. The 1st floor has the bar and some seating. The restaurant is very classy, dim and romantic. We were seated upstairs and greeted by our waiter. Our waiter was very nice, funny and attentive to our food and drinks preferences. He was patient and checked in on us throughout the night. I ordered the wet-aged NY strip (14 oz) and whipped potatoes which is close to mashed potatoes. The NY strip ( medium cooked) was tender, juicy and seasoned well. I enjoyed the steak, it was delicious. If you want a juicier and more tender steak, you can try the dry-aged bone-in NY strip on the menu. Next the whipped potatoes, I personally think it can add more herbs to add flavor since there's no garlic flavor in the potatoes. It wasn't impressive to me but good enough to still order it. Overall, I had a good experience and good food so I would come back again.“

“Making this review for anyone on the fence about doing Sunday brunch/Day party here. Was visiting DC from Texas for the weekend & looking for a place with smooth brunch vibes. This place had the vibes I was looking for. Music, women, & bottomless mimosas. Table limit is 90 minutes but they are pretty lenient on that. Day party on the 3rd floor rooftop after brunch with a live DJ was smooth. Would recommend“

Starting with the fantastic selection of cocktails and wines, followed by an amazing salad and continuing with the most exceptional steak accompanied with an exquisite secret sauce and their incredible French fries. To finish with a very complete selection of desserts of which I want to highlight the “Double Chocolate Fudge Layer Cake” which I assure you will not be able to finish. They have a great Happy Hour menu with a variety of small bites (go for the fish bites, and fried shrimp) and discounted cocktails (cosmos, manhattans, martinis). “This is single handedly the greatest sandwich, no meal I’ve ever had. I went to D.C. for a school trip back in may and got the philly cheesesteak as lunch one day with fries. Let me just say the philly cheesesteak was amazing i wish i could move to D.C. just to eat this often. I was on the verge of tears out of just pure joy after the second bite. Once i finished my sub i went and got another one because i wanted to relive my first experience. All i can say is that it was purely heavenly and i wouldn’t be suprised if god himself prepared this for me. It was a divine meal fit for not the normal stomach and taste buds. This meal has altered my opinion on food itself for the past 4 months. Please franchise and make more across the country so i can eat this within a relative location.“
“We always eat here when we’re in town. The food was great, as always! However, the service was subpar to say the least. Not sure of the exact reason, but the service last night was significantly worse than our previous experiences, and definitely not what you’d expect when spending $150+ on dinner.“
“My family and I had such a wonderful time . I’ve been here so many times with my kids and always feel right at home . Thank you to the chefs in the back who make the wings so tasty and flavorful and that out law ribeye that is always cooked to perfection . My husband ordered ribs and the meat fell right off the bone . It came out perfect even with the heavy flow of how busy it was last Friday . My waiter Snupey was so funny he had my kids and I laughing the entire night . He was quick with everything and made our night special . My husband also told me to mention that the bartender did an excellent job with making drinks . 5 stars all around and a bigger applause goes to the managers . “The food was very good. I had the soup if the day. It was a black bean chilli was big pieces of smoked meat and topped with cheese and red onion. Delicious! The collards greens were tender but over seasoned with vinager. I was definitely go back for the chili!“
