“Ms. Kathy was an amazing tour guide. Ms. Taylor was very kind also. It is a great banquet facility not open on Sunday or Mondays. It is carpeted, and can be configured in many different ways and room sizes. Lots of parking, food is available for a cost.“

“First fast food that didn't disappoint me. They actually cook right in front of you to create a very good, quality hot sub. “Unconventional dinner has amazing food and such a wide variety to choose from.One of my favourite ones is their chicken and waffles. However this is not your regular chicken and waffles. They are corn bread chicken and waffles, with a sweet and spicy sauce.But that’s not all, their salads are amazing also. Great ambiance, and amicable staff.“

“Amazing service, food, presentation, libations, decor, comfort, on and on. From 1st picture my welcome cocktail all the way to final cocktail and wine in between 2nd picture to 1st course caviar bigger purse with no silverware 3rd picture to 2nd to last course truffle ice cream with all the toppings, including caviar My words don’t do this dining event Justice. Oh, and when I got back to the hotel, I found an incredible burger in a box that I carried back to the hotel without opening. That was breakfast! Will be back.“

“5 out of 5 stars, this three story restaurant is interestingly unnoticeable but I’m glad I was invited here to experience it. It sits next to an open air lot which is definitely needed on H St. The food was amazing, I had the sea bass, plantains, salad, and cassava fries (can’t remember what they were called) and everything was so good. The staff was efficient and friendly and the chef came out to speak with us and it amazing to see that he’s native DC and young he is. I definitely recommend this place for dinner. I wish I paused to take pictures but maybe next time.“

“Loved dining at Nina May’s for Easter Brunch! Made the reservation quite last minute but we were still able to snag a table for two at one of D.C’s best restaurants! We were also late on our res. due to easter traffic and finding parking around the place but the host was very accommodating and nice. We got the chef’s choice and everything was amazing! Super fresh and the flavors all worked really well together. I also got the cucumber mocktail which was really good! Our server was attentive and really went the extra mile to fix a small mishap (we got to try the amazing carrot cake, on the house!!! it was splendid!!!!). Will definitely be back since they have a seasonal menuParking: Parking is quite limited as most of the streets surrounding this restaurant are restricted/limited to zone/permit holders which seems to be a theme in D.C. Be aware and plan to arrive 15-20 minutes earlier so you have time to look without getting late. Though a host did mention there is a grocery store nearby that you could park at though!“

“I really enjoyed my experiences at the The Walrus. They have fresh shucked oysters, the Wally's are the house oyster and they were very good. I think I tried every fresh oyster and there were some excellent options that I thoroughly enjoyed. I also had the lobster roll togo and it was loaded with lobsta. They crab cakes were ok, but they are not using fresh local crab meat. The service was fantastic, it's what had me return, a great experience! The great fresh oysters were also a draw for me.“

“Eubin took excellent care of my husband and I on our visit to barmini. It was our first visit (of many more to come) and every single cocktail was mind blowing. I had originally booked a flight, only to have to change it to a la carte in order to make dinner reservations. I wish we had cancelled dinner and stayed at barmini! I cannot find enough positive words to describe this experience. Worth every single cent and more. A must visit! We will be back! (And sit at the bar. From the start, the team was quick to answer our questions and was open to having us bring in a stroller since we had a newborn with us.Our server Ryan was absolutely exceptional and phenomenal. He did all he could to make the night special for us. All of the staff shared personal stories and tidbits of information throughout the night.Everything was meticulously crafted, plated, and presented to us with pride, joy, and love. I almost never write reviews, but this place was so incredible that I had to this time.We went on a Friday night and did the 7-course tasting menu and drink pairing at the chef's counter. I'm sure it's not part of the experience every time, but it actually turned into about a 9-course tasting because they served some extras not on the menu that they were excited to share. Every aspect was incredible.Starting off, before we even arrived, with personalized contact from Brian to ensure that they knew everything from our names, if it was special occasion, dietary restrictions, etc. It was clear they wanted to make sure it was a special experience for us before we even stepped foot in the restaurant.On arrival the environment was incredible and the whole staff was friendly and consistently went out of their way to make the evening memorable.The food was, of course, incredible. But even more enjoyable was the detailed explanation of both the food we were being served and the wine choices for pairing. “Today, we were incredibly fortunate to visit a unique restaurant, Monocle, located on Capitol Hill. We initially chose it due to its proximity to our hotel, but it turned out to be a true "Washingtonian gem." Opened in 1960, this restaurant has been operated by the same family ever since. The menu is concise, which we believe highlights the culinary excellence presented in merely five dishes. We were in search of "authentic American steaks from real American beef from real American cows." What we received far exceeded our expectations. Both steaks we ordered were exquisitely prepared to perfection. We both agreed that these were the best steaks we've ever had the pleasure of eating in our lives. #MasterpieceAs if the meal itself wasn't enough, our server, Marinos Apostolopoulos, provided us with a genuine journey through the history of this establishment. We are deeply grateful!Given its location near the Capitol, the restaurant has been visited by at least half of American politicians over the last 60 years, including Presidents Nixon, Kennedy, Bush, and Clinton. For food, I had the lamb shawarma which was very tasty and actually the perfect amount of food, although the pita bread that came with was pretty dry. “Had dinner on a Saturday night - party of 4. A plus service and food. The service was very attentive and knowledgeable. Very helpful in wine selections within certain price points (and the recommendations were fantastic). But the FOOD!!! there was a special lobster appetizer that was phenomenal. For the regular menu the little gem salad was large and refreshing. I had the root vegetable soup and it was also great. For mains we had the tuna, pasta and steak. There wasn't a bad choice in the bunch. Highly recommend this for an elegant night out. All in we were at 150 per person (and that was with plenty of wine). The price was a bargain for the experience. GO!!!“

“I love this neighborhood gem or a bar/restaurant. Great vibes and elevated food. My only suggestion is to take the Triple H sandwich off the menu. There's no honey flavoring and for a person that loves Nashville Hot Chicken this was incredibly hot to the point of being nauseating. “Got take out dinner twice now, was afraid I’d regret not getting the almond rainbow trout again, but the pumpkin ravioli was equally delicious and now I’ll be thinking of both dishes after I leave this city. The rainbow trout and pumpkin ravioli were cooked perfectly with amazing flavor, but they also added a dipping sauce that I now want for ALL fish going forward. My family ate Circa burgers and said it was good. The tuna poke nacho appetizer was just alright, because I don’t care for the nacho chips. I’d eat the poke with steamed rice though, or as poke tacos. I will recommend Circa to anyone I know traveling to DC. And I do have one more night here so I might go back yet again…prices not bad.“

Even gave us a few small samples of the drinks on tap to try beforehand.GET THE RHUBARB SODA it might change your life.Most of the people at the bar with us were locals and regulars. Very cute decor as well.Small spot so limited seating. If you want to go for dinner recommend getting a reservation ahead of time.If I lived here I’d have my name engraved on a stool.“

“My first time here. It's been a while since I had been out so for water me and my friends came here. The ambiance is cute. Very barrel like place. Especially if you are a whiskey drinker. “We popped in to the Hawk n Dove after a busy morning touring the Capitol Building. We were greeted at the door in a reasonable amount of time. It looked like the restaurant was full, but they were able to get us a table near the kitchen - which is always fun since you can watch the buzz of the kitchen and wait staff hustling out all of the food orders. There is a lot going on here - busy bar, sports, news and trivia televised on screens above the bar. Witty T-shirts and memorabilia hanging on the walls. Generous portions, and upscale healthy food options in addition to the normal pub grub. We noticed that other tables had opted for salads and flatbreads so we did too. The personal sized flatbread was the perfect amount for one person. Nice combination of toppings and a warm soft crust. Salads were perfectly seasoned and dressed. Everyone in my party was happy with their lunches. Definitely would recommend.“

“It was our first out of 2 nights in DC and I wanted to have high-quality, memorable, delicious food and that's what The Duck & the Peach provided! The ambiance felt artsy and people were dressed casually but the food was fancy and expensive. My partner and I got the duck feast and everything was tasty, particularly the duck. We are duck lovers who eat duck a lot especially from Chinese restaurants and this duck was so tender and the skin was crispy the way I like it. We also had the mint ice cream bar for dessert which was super unique, almost savory and wrapped in an edible covering but I couldn't place what the covering was made out of (maybe white chocolate)? It was an expensive meal but we also took home left overs and we would come here again!“

“I want to start by saying, this is a very clean establishment. Staff is very friendly and they show you, your food before you leave. Everything is fresh and cooked to order. You can request, to have your food, lightly seasoned or a lot of seasoning. I recommend the Jumbo shrimp!!! Not like most carry-outs, it’s cooked fresh, not frozen, and absolutely delicious. The shrimp fried rice is loaded with shrimp!! I highly recommend, This is Seafood!!! You won’t be disappointed!! I will be visiting again, I want to try the seafood boil.“

“We ate here twice. On Thursday, around 6 pm at the bar we shared a large filet mignon snd sweet potatoes. It was cooked perfectly and the service was superb. The server was attentive and very professional. We ate there also Saturday at the bar. The service was sub-par for ordering a simple hamburger. We were there around 6pm, so it was not packed. We could not even get silverware, or mustard and ketchup delivered. So I am not sure the issue, maybe during the week the more experienced staff works. A huge difference in service. Very disappointing.“

“Ended up going here for a last minute intimate dinner with family and it was thee perfect setting. Booths can be a little snug for larger people lol but all in all I loved the experience. “Found this place on Yelp, and the reviews are accurate. This is our first time having Ethiopian food, and it was amazing. We got the Taste of Habesha 45, and the Awaze Tibs. The sambusas were okay. DEFINITELY enough for about four people. Awesome place.“

“We stumbled into this place after some other burger places were closed, and I'm glad we did! This was one of the best smash burgers i've had in a long time. I understand people saying the burgers are a bit pricey for the size, but to me the delicate nature of the sandwich combined with bold flavors really sealed the deal. I can't remember which one my wife got but we were both in heaven, and even after sharing the shockingly good garden salad, we didn't feel stuffed like we usually do when leaving burger places. “My colleague lives in the area and invited me for a drink and I had never heard of the spot. It was chill around happy hour, kinda empty. Classic dive bar. The beer was cold. By the second drink the place started to fill and it seemed like the male/female ratio was very lopsided to the female persuasion and at first I was like “cool”, and then I reeeally took it all in and started to wonder if I was at a gay bar (which is still totally cool). Maybe it was the vendor selling “Dyke” merchandise, or the fact that for once I was able to enjoy a drink without being bothered by strangers or crowded by yuppies. Either way the atmosphere was conducive to minding my own business and having a good time. The outdoor area is great.The upstairs had vendors with various art and wares they made. I have since learned that the event was actually “Dew Drop’s Dyke Party”. I would gladly come to another Tuesday “Dyke Party” if it’s always so chill (albeit not very diverse).The downstairs also had a bar and around 8 there was Christmas-themed live music of the R&B/Soul/Jazz persuasion. This crowd was substantially more eclectic and in my subjective views couldn’t be categorized as homogenous. Free live music in DC is unheard of so I was extremely gracious.My only complaint is that this is a dive in the heart of the dmv that doesn’t serve National Bohemian. But I have since learned that they allow dogs so I won’t hold it against them.“

“Nice bookstore slash restaurant Cafe. Plenty of space to work and eat or both. Strong wifi as well.The art decorations are amassing. It's almost like being in a gallery. Service is chill, mostly younger with a chill, friendly demeanor - I like it.I ordered the creole shrimp which was sad in terms of portion. It was $18 for a scoop of rice, several pieces of shrimp and vegetable tomato sauce. Want really good nor really bad just meh. I felt it was overpriced. Plus the shrimp could've been cooked more. But the presentation was beautiful.All in all it's a nice cafe. And I'd recommend coming here to read our but books, drink a coffee and work, but not the food. A bit overpriced for what you get.“

“Very well decorated definitely New Orleans vibe lively and crowded ,service was fine not over the top but met the requirements I ordered the mac n cheese it was good, collard greens were good but didn't have the kick I expected the cornbread I didn't like. The presentation is awesome but it is my preference to have a softer fluffier texture however if you like what is probably the original texture of cornbread you may like it. The portions are healthy.“

“Yes! I love the concept. I love how it’s a hand made patty and the burger was cooked perfectly. In addition, you have an option to add items to your burger if you do the build your burger option. You can also choose their preselected choices which look really good. I chose to add sautéed onions, bacon, and Italian sausage. I will say although the Italian sausage was good, I wouldn’t add it again; it didn’t hurt the burger overall. You choose your seasoning (I chose basic), sauce (house bbq), lettuce and tomato. I also ordered the seasoned fries (garlic parmesan). I was curious so I asked for the spicy ranch. It was pretty good.“
