“Very bright, warm, friendly location. Drink offerings are varied and refreshing. The staff are always responsive and even offers firepit in the winter. Other Half Brewing Washington DC Brewery • $$
1401 Okie St NE, Washington - 9.17 miles

“I was in DC for a couple of days and after a day of sightseeing, was ready to chill and grab some beers. I'm a huge craft beer fan and saw that Other Half's DC location was pretty close to where I was staying. I've had quite a few of their beers and also been to their brewery in Brooklyn, which was boss. This location was equally good. I ended up getting four beers, two NEIPA's, which were both really good and fresh and also two barrel aged beers, one was great, the other not so much. Service was on point and the guy behind the bar was very friendly and accommodating. It is a large space with outdoor seating and there was a quiz going on while I was there. You can also buy beer to take away too.“

Third Hill Brewing Co Brewery •
8216 Georgia Ave, Silver Spring - 3.52 miles

“We had our baby shower at Third Hill, and everything from planning to the day-of went great. Jason and Danielle are great to work with and very reasonable, and the staff was so professional and attentive. The brewery was a comfortable temperature with lots of natural light, the food and drinks were great, and they worked with us on specific needs like decorations or having activities for kids available. We’re thankful Third Hill was willing to host our special party, and we would highly recommend them for private events!“

Atlas Brew Works Ivy City Brewery & Taproom Brewery • $$
2052 West Virginia Ave NE #102, Washington - 9.19 miles

“Big fan. This brewery has a good rotation of seasonals and flagship standbys. I'd say they tend to go more dark/heavy on their offerings than others but they do it well. Their patio is nice enough for being on a non picturesque street. Inside is a bit dark. I've also attended small business promotion fairs here, they open up a space beyond the bar for vendors. Staff are knowledgeable and kind. Worth the bike ride from my neck of the woods. A good stop after a visit to the arboretum!“

Streetcar 82 Brewing Co. Brewery • $$
4824 Rhode Island Ave, Hyattsville - 8.9 miles

“Slam-dunk place to grab some outdoor drinks and a bite from a local food truck in the warm summer months. Very accessible via bike, and prices that are on the lower side of average. I've been here several times and intend to continue doing so.“

Saints Row Brewing Brewery • $
15 Fulks Corner Ave Suite 101-102, Gaithersburg - 10.2 miles

“Went to their old location a few years ago and really enjoyed it. Since discovering they moved to a new place we had to check it out.Really like the new place. There own stand alone building that had a nice personality. Smaller than many of those huge breweries you see everywhere, it makes you feel more at home.We enjoyed all the friendly staff and all their beers we tried. We even sampled some cask beers they are working on and they were pretty unique and tasty. This is one of many great breweries in this area. Heck them out of you are near the DC area, no too far northwest of the city.“

Hellbender Brewing Company Brewery • $
5788 2nd St NE, Washington - 5.91 miles

“This place is great with an amazing menu that changes constantly. Food trucks and events on a nice rotation too. However, beware of the families that like to take over the tasting room. It can be a bit much. I can see allowing kids during the daytime, but during a happy hour and before closing, it's eyebrow raising. I can't fault them for people who can't control their kids, but come on, it's basically a bar once the sun sets. Love the neighborhood feel but no one wants to hear your kids screaming and crying while trying to have a conversation. I wouldn't review if this didn't happen more than once or twice. Unfortunately, they lose a star because of this.“

Aslin Beer Company Brewery • $$
1740 14th St NW, Washington - 8.07 miles

“Very cool vibe, took over a former gas station. The tap room pays homage to the former location, while sporting a great outdoor seating area. Cozy and inviting, even on a cool March evening. Orange Starfish (citrus flavored and reminiscent of Zombie Dust, which I love) and No Backsies were my beer choices, very satisfied with both. They also have a coffee area open during the day. Cool spot!“

Clear Skies Meadery Winery • $$
15201 Display Ct, Rockville - 6.63 miles

“From being the only people there to having the whole place crowded! Its amazing how popular this place is. I have not tried meadery or this location so this was a new experience. Driving there seems a little sketchy given that its kinda hidden in the back of what seems like an industrial area. Once you are passed that, you will see a wonderful brightly lit Meadery area. The place is well decorated and very welcoming. Clean and spacious, I love the atmosphere. They also have seating torwards the back where they make/store the mead. They have games there, but I wasnt so sure if they are available to customers. They do allow outside food which is nice since you can have something delivered. My partner and I tried the flights to get a taste of all the different kinds of meads and I have to say they really know what they are doing. There were very fine tuned taste within the mead. Very tasty and plenty of alcohol. I cant wait to go back and try the place again.“

“This was my first visit to Starr Hill Biergarten and I was really pleasantly surprised. What a cool place! Eleven floors up to a big outdoor play space with views of the Tysons Corner skyline. It's December, so not much happening outdoors, but the small heated tent was cozy, warm, and festively decorated. The beers were great, especially the Warm Up Spiced Winter Ale. Service was friendly and prompt. We ordered food and the Buffalo Chicken Wrap was excellent - just the right spice level, proportion of ingredients and firmly wrapped. The fries were tasty too, and my partner liked the brat.“

“I’d never been here and was so surprised by the tastiness. Service was excellent. Busy but not loud. I got the vegetarian chili and corn pudding. The beans were perfect and the chili tasted homemade, not too much chili powder. My husband and friend got dishes that they enjoyed. The onion rings were fresh out of the fryer, and the service was prompt and friendly.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options included grilled cheese, bean chili, a noodle dish, and salads. Not a lot of options but what I had was really good.“

“Saw a recommendation in the nudge that this place had yummy hot chocolate (optional to get it spiked) so came for a date night! It’s so much bigger inside than I expected. I’ve been by here so many times. So glad we came! My only complaint is that is was SO loud (on a Tuesday night) from bingo in the back room that it was difficult to carry a conversation, however the overall vibe of this place is amazing! Love seeing queer bars in the city. Oh, and the hot chocolate was delicious!“

Lost Generation Brewing Company Brewery •
327 S St NE, Washington - 8.74 miles

“Lost Generation is such a gem in the NE area. I walk past this brewery on the MBT all the time but this was my first time visiting. The staff were absolutely amazing, both friendly and helpful in explaining the beer options. I truly enjoyed hearing the owner's story of starting the brewery. It was great to hear about this family run business. Lost Generation had a great selection of beers especially IPAs, which are my favorite. They do not have food but they have rotating food trucks every week. You can also get a brewery tour here. The space is nice and open, and family friendly. I look forward to stopping in more on my MBT walks.“

7 Locks Brewing Brewery • $
12227 Wilkins Ave, Rockville - 2.78 miles

“7 Locks Brewing is my favorite brewery in Rockville and always has fresh, new beers to sample every time I come. The brewery tends to get a good mix of families with young children, young adult groups, and older adult groups.Unlike other breweries with these populations, they have not yet decided to purchase any high chairs for families with small children. I recommend this to staff whenever I visit but no cigar just yet.For the flight below, I had the Choco-Razz Porter, the Erin Go Brew, and the Belgian Grand Chu; which were all delicious.“

Silver Branch Lagerhaus & Biergarten Brewery • $$
8401 Colesville Rd #150, Silver Spring - 3.22 miles

“You walk into most breweries these days, and you’re met with a “choice“ of seven different varieties of IPA.Not at Silver Branch, where they have at least a half dozen decidedly different styles, and all are quite good—as consistently good a brewery as we’ve found on the East Coast. It’s not perfect—the food leaves something to be desired (pretzel + beer cheese = good), when it’s busy, the service can be sort of a disaster, and the order on an app on your cell phone is annoying as hell. But good beer plus a nice ambience goes an awful long way!“

Crooked Run Fermentation Brewery •
550 Morse St NE Suite #120, Washington - 9.2 miles

“Great brewery with a variety of types of beer, including the amazing purple, U-Bae sour which tastes less like a sour and more like a ube cake. Sticky Rice sour was also great w mango, rice milk, and coconut. Both of these beers were SO unique! Loved the 16% valor barelywine. Another unique item for a brewery. Charm milk stout was good - similar to other milk stouts I've had.Atmosphere is super super cute (and industrial) with events almost daily. However, note, their actual happy hour special is 2 beers and slice of pizza for $12 until 6PM. The website says it is $2 off draft beer after 8PM.“
