“I came to Woodlands for a large group party and we had a great time. Be sure to order plenty of appetizers because the main entrees will take longer for larger groups. We ordered a large variety of items including samosas, mango lassi, and more. The entrees came with more than enough food for one person! We all ended up having to take to go boxes. One wish I had would be for more water refills throughout the mood. The restaurant itself was pretty warm and the food made us even more thirsty. This is a great option for authentic and flavorful vegetarian indian food.“

He was attentive, descriptive and helped create a good experience. Dan, our bartender, was magnificent. He created delectable cocktails and we also chatted along the way (we had bar seats which I highly recommend). This was very reasonably priced, we left very filled and happy. I want to give the highest possible compliments to Ian and Dan. The entire experience was perfect, largely because of the great food, but they took the experience well beyond a 1 star evening!“

“Really delicious and awesome vibe! This is a creative Asian place where I would say noodles are their forte. The area is really small and cozy, with great decor. They only seat about 20 people at a time in their space, so I would reserve or come early. We came as they opened and were seated as a party of 5.For food, LOVE the brontosaurus! The broth is excellent and rich but too too rich, nicely smoked ribs, excellent selection of side veggies and the noodles had a great texture. The noodles in the mazemans were the same noodles as the brontosaurus, but the mazeman has no broth and so I prefer the brontosaurus. The ribs in the brontosaurus could’ve been more tender but I still loved it overall! Pork buns were good as well. Beautiful presentation and great taste on all! And nice edgy underground atmosphere/decor and reasonable prices.Vegetarian options: Mushroom ramen“

My son has a love for Indian food ever since his trip to India. I have never tried Indian food ever. So this was my very first experience. From the moment we walked in the door our amazing experience began. The atmosphere is beautiful and so is the staff. Our server, April was super helpful and very knowledgeable. She has an amazing spirit and is wonderful with her job! The food... was very fresh, aromatic and DELICIOUS!! My son said the food was the closest to the food in India that he has had here in the states. For my first time... OMG!!! I am HOOKED! “Everything at Menya is completely mind-blowing and it's the best ramen I've had outside of Japan. It's a little hard to visit here especially with their hours but every time I can make the trip over to DC I always make an effort to come here. Their food stays consistent and service is incredible. It's amazing to watch how in synch the entire team is and they have an open kitchen where you can watch the staff make the endless bowls of ramen! The karaage is a MUST-TRY it's so incredibly crispy on the outside but perfectly juicy on the inside. It's also paired with a yuzu dipping sauce and it brings the chicken to a whole other level, 10/10. My favorite ramen is the Spicy Tonkotsu because it includes a house made chili spice that really brings a nice kick to their traditional Tonkotsu broth. You really can't go wrong with anything on their menu because each type of ramen is so incredible in its depth of flavor.“

My rice was really good and had a generous portion of lump crabmeat. My son's Heavenly pork was really good according to him. He was just getting over a stomach issue so he couldn't order it spicy as he would like. The mild wasn't spicy at all. “The most deliciously innovative meal that we’ve experienced within memory. Modern, Greek-accented food, elevated by sophisticated yet subtle use of herbs, spices, dressings and sauces. The menu contains numerous vegetarian offerings, although carnivores will also be happy. Excellent cocktails and drinks, attractive setting, efficient and pleasant service. The sole disappointment: noise. If you’re not enamored with loud acoustics, try to reserve a more quiet booth or visit during off-peak hours.***DETAILS: I was very skeptical about booking at Melina because the menu appeared complex and fussy. My concern was that the results would be discordant and underwhelming. Happily, I was dead wrong. Melina’s chef is one of those rare souls capable of orchestrating a symphony of flavors for the palate. We loved our charred baby gem salad (enhanced by its light and sprightly dressing); the squash app (brightly and unexpectedly accented with pear, black garlic and fried kale), the portobello main (deep-flavored and satisfying) and the lamb neck (generous and succulent.) The bougatso dessert, capped with a remarkably smooth Greek brandy, offered a celebratory ending. Looking forward to returning.“

“This review was a long time coming. I was dying to try out Agora DC after my friend treated me to the Tyson's location for my birthday. Agora Tyson's was some of the best food that I've had in a while, so expectations were high for their DC location. I'm pleased to report, the food quality is identical! That means, A+ all the way around. Please try the chicken, giant prawns, jumbo scallops, octopus and lamb chops.. You'll thank me later!! Both locations have their own charm, but I'm leaning towards the DC version just a hair more because of the the indoor/outdoor seating option. Although I visited when it was cold out, the patio was still booming with the mega heat lamps. It was warm enough to sweat a little...LOL! I've been hooked on Tapas style restaurants since trying out Jaleo many moons ago. Service was great and I've put Agora on my top 5 DC restaurants list.. period!!!“

“We were a party of 5 with a variety of preferences including low-spice and a not too adventurous 12-yr old. Four of us were very happy with our meals that ran the gamut from nicely spiced meat pie to familar chicken kebab. The one complaint was about the fat noodles that one of our party found tricky to manage. Degree of spice was adjustable and certainly the medium was not hot for my tastebuds -- but it's all personal. By 7pm, there was a lineup, so we were glad to have a reservation.“

“I am truly a pick eater so anytime I'm able to do a full tasting menu with no worries about having eating restrictions I jump at the opportunity. Oyster Oyster has such a carefully crafted menu for vegans and vegetarians alike. The only element that is not vegan is the oyster they serve as one of the tasting elements. Other than that, it is truly a vegan person's heaven. So much fresh vegetables cooked in ways I literally could not have dreamed up. The Gnocchi mushroom dish served with the broccoli bread was my absolute favorite part of the menu. The bread was served with marigold butter that absolutely blew my mind. Do yourself a favor and also try the Non Alcoholic tasting menu to accompany your dish as it was such a great way to get more fresh juices and tonics to accompany the meal. I highly highly recommend this place to everyone and a round of applause to their excellent service as well.“

“Wonderful place, best falafel ever. I hope they read this because I would suggest they describe the bread it is on in more detail. They apologized for not having traditional pita bread for it. Instead the should say they have put a new spin on it using their own homemade ??? bread. I don't know what type it is, but it was absolutely delicious!“

“My partner and I walked in at 6:30 PM on a busy Friday night without a reservation (I didn’t realize they had started taking reservations!) The host said the only options were bar seating or outdoor seating under heat lamps. We didn’t really want either of those options, but understood that since we didn’t have a reservation, we could not be very choosy. The host then kept looking at his reservation app and offered us a very nice table as long as we could be finished by 8:30 PM. We said that two hours is plenty of time! He said he felt bad that there wasn’t room for us but we assured him this was perfect and we would definitely be finished by the time he needed the table back. He was so kind and accomodating. The rest of the staff was also excellent (as always!) and the food was outstanding. I have always loved Purple Patch and will certainly return soon. Thank you PP team for being awesome!“

“Have stopped in twice, both times for the Happy Hour in the first floor bar area. The drinks have been excellent and the bartenders attentive. The food options for the HH are varied and each dish was satisfying and unique. Highlights are the soup dumplings, pork belly, and khachapuri breads (cannot go wrong with any of the varieties). I haven’t tried for a standard dinner but the tastings I’ve had and service make this a great spot. Street parking only if you’re driving, but the neighborhood is solid and you shouldn’t have too much issue.“

“The service at this restaurant is exceptional, from the moment you walk in to the very end. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure that their customers are taken care of, earning a solid 10/10 rating with service. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with soft lighting and a simple yet classy interior design spread out over two levels. We tried a variety of cocktails and starters, including cassava fritters, pork paw, and jerk wings - my personal favorite. Other starters such as Aloo and Channa Pies and Callaloo soup were also delicious. For my entree, I opted for the oxtail with coconut rice and plantains, although it was tasty, I have had better oxtail elsewhere and found the flavor to be a bit underwhelming.Overall, I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try as the service and ambiance alone make it worth the visit.“
