“Woodlands Restaurant has the taste associated with the typical Woodlands restaurant from South India - Bangalore and Chennai. The food is yummy. The service is friendly, courteous and quick. The restaurant opened around 20 years back. It has a lot of loyal customers and we visited because of word-of-mouth references.
The afternoon lunch is a buffet, other times and dinner is ala-carte. They also serve the dinner thali. Chats, different types of dosas, snack and tiffin combos with beverages like Mysore coffee, a sweet or a mango lassi are their specialities.
It is in Fairfax county, near Fairoaks mall. They close at 9:30pm.“

“I think Old Ebbitt Grill are one of the best grill joints around Washington and they got the most warmed atmosphere and I also enjoyed their service a lot. “I stopped in with friends before a event Sunday evening. The staff was warm and welcoming. I had the lentil sambusas and a peanut-infused coffee at the staff’s recommendation. The food was fast and delicious- the sambusas were warm and spicy, and the peanut coffee was delicious! In a kind gesture, the chef sent over a sampling of sushi to our table. Fresh and refreshing, the sushi was a nice complement to my sambusas and hot beverage. I’m not on this side of town often, but now I have a reason to come back.“

“Went to Kitchen +Kocktails for the first time last night. The decor was very nice, and the music was good and not obnoxious. Our server Ally was terrific! I’m not a drinker, so when I asked her if there were any cocktails that didn’t taste like alcohol, I thought she would look at me like I was crazy, but she didn’t! She seemed to know exactly what I was talking about and immediately had a couple of suggestions. I went with the mixed berry lemon drop and it was perfect for me. The crab cake appetizers and shrimp and grits with lobster tail entree were amazing. We had a great time and we’ll be back!“

“Dining at Albi was a special experience. We were lucky enough to book the Hearth table and watched the kitchen interact and prepare the food. The warmth and hospitality of the staff, not just with the diners, but with each other was sincerely heartwarming. Every dish was amazing and there was not a single thing we disliked. My personal favorites were the crab, dates and lamb with cinnamon. This is probably one of my favorite Michelin experiences and Albi deserves all the accolades given to it and more.

Edit to add: they had the best morning after goodie bag of all the Michelin restaurants!“

“We had an early dinner before attending a performance at the Ford’s Theater. We made reservations through Open Table and were immediately seated upon arrival. The service was great. Our server recommended several dishes that we loved. There were abundant vegan and vegetarian options. Chilorio de Res tacos were mouthwatering as were the Hongos en Milto ones. In fact, every dish we ordered was delicious. One dish (chilaquiles) never arrived from the kitchen but we were pressed for time so we opted to have it taken off our bill instead of waiting for them to prepare it separately. Dessert, Cafe de Olla, was phenomenal. Pics are only some of the items we tried. Great atmosphere for date night and a milestone birthday celebration. Highly recommend.“

From the moment my partner and I walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming, friendly, lively, upbeat, and inclusive.

We ordered the Greek Wings, The Cheeseburger, and Huevos Rancheros.

The Greek Wings were hot, crispy, meaty, and savory.

The Cheeseburger was a classic done well, topped with American cheese on a toasted sesame brioche bun and served with crispy Belgian fries.

The Huevos Rancheros featured eggs, Mexican chorizo, tortillas, refried black beans, salsa, guacamole, pico de gallo, and fresh garnishes. He said it was hearty, colorful, and packed with flavor.
