“At first we were a little surprised to be eating in a Days Inn -- and Al-Madani is unassuming atmospherically. However, the food was flavorful and delicious (aloo palak, lamb tikka kabobs, garlic naan), and the staff were wonderfully kind and caring. I feel like this is a hidden gem and hope many more people find them and that they get lots of business!“

“Go To Burgers has been on my list to try for a while, and we finally got the chance to yesterday.

Burgers were delicious. Everything was freshly made and came out nice and hot. The fries were good (and I don’t like crinkle cut fries most of the time). The lamb burger was really tasty and I recommend trying it if you’ve never had one.

The owner was also incredibly nice. I highly recommend checking out Go To Burgers.“

It’s a big bike (bicycle) hang out spot over the weekends, lots of folks riding on the Rhode Island Ave Trolley trail divert here.

Their food options are very light but they do have decent pastries and bagels with cream cheese.

“The Eastern is just a couple of blocks from my daughter and son-in-law and is our go to place when we visit them in DC. They have a fabulous menu, however, we love the small shareable plates. The pork sliders, glazed carrots and pimento cheese dip are wonderful. The wait staff is knowledgeable and attentive and always ready to suggest a wine to pair with our food. We love the atmosphere and the local vibe and are warmly greeted like old friends. Love this place.“

“Our group has iftar buffet here. Food was really good with 10/12 items and had naan and tea included for the table. The restaurant is really pretty and we all had a good time. Service was good and so were the refreshing drinks for breaking fast. Will definitely recommend for Iftar or any other meals for any size of groups. The bar is alcohol free and I’d say the price is absolutely reasonable for the Iftar. I wish them well and thank them for a wonderful evening.
