“Work has taken me from Arkansas to New York and now Maryland, and even though I don’t usually have much time to explore, I always try to find a good coffee spot. ☕

TikTok search sent me to Vigilante Coffee in Hyattsville and it did not disappoint. The coffee was so good I literally had to order a second one. 🤭 The service was very welcoming, the kind of place you’re glad you stumbled across.

Definitely one of my favorite finds while traveling for work. 🤎☕“

“5 stars isn't enough!! From the moment we walked in until the end of our night we were satisfied. The decorations, food, and service was amazing! They even offered me a quiet place to pray :). Give this place a try-trust me (portions may seem small, but it was very filling- we ordered the bowl of fries, which came with a delicious sauce, CROQUETTES, fish burger, beef burger, and gnocchi pomodoro. “If you are on a gluten free diet, this restaurant is a real treat. This is the ONLY restaurant I know of in the entire DC area that offers gluten free French toast!!! It is really yummy. It is gluten free cinnamon raison bread that they make into French toast. It is served with maple syrup that has few slices of bananas in it. It is always served warm. (Be sure to look for the bananas. If the French toast is served with sliced strawberries, that is the wheat based French toast.) This restaurant also has gluten free bread so most of their sandwiches can be made gluten free upon request. And they can make their eggs benedict gluten free by using their gluten free toast. It is a very pleasant experience dining here. I usually dine outside. They are located on a small street in Georgetown. Georgetown can be crowded but on this small street, it is never very busy. On a nice weather day, it is a pleasant experience to eat the gluten free French toast while enjoying the weather. The service is always good too. I enthusiastically recommend this restaurant.“

The decor brightened an otherwise gloomy and stormy day. The service was efficient and friendly. Menu labeled for dietary restrictions and can ask server for help. The food (brunch prix fixe with burrata (no bread) and steak eggs) had the right flavors to waken the palate and satisfy the soul and the stomach. Kudos to the right amount of salt on each dish to highlight all the deliciousness. Cantaloupe to Spain was a balanced cocktail with unique flavors and smooth to drink.

Overall a memorable brunch experience and I'll be recommending to friends in and out of DC. Look forward to coming back.“

“On vacation from RI, my husband and I and very good friends had lunch at Lily’s just this past week and we fully enjoyed experience! It was a beautiful sunny day, and we were greeted with sunny faces and a friendly, highly professional staff. We sat in the outdoor area and everything from being there to fill our water glasses and explaining the menu was covered. I highly recommend Lily’s if not just for the fact that we felt like we were at home but to top it off, the food was delicious. Try the Tropical salad and the meatball appetizer!!“

The lounge area behind the bar is particularly sexy and charming—an excellent spot for a date night. The restaurant, service, and ambiance were all lovely, but the food exceeded our expectations. Everything was delicious and very reasonably priced for the quality and setting. The menu offered some intriguing options, including raspberry macarons with chicken liver and fig jam, alongside classic French favorites like escargot, bouillabaisse, steak frites, and boeuf bourguignon. Our party of eight happily devoured everything and thoroughly enjoyed the entire meal. It can be difficult to find a restaurant that combines accessibility, an elegant atmosphere, excellent service, outstanding food, and reasonable prices. Bistro du Jour checked every box. “A lot of beer places typically have mid food - not this place. We honestly come here sometimes just for the food. It’s seriously so good, healthy, and fresh. Their outdoor patio is nicer than their interior in my opinion (it gets loud inside), but either is good.“
