“Finally found my Chinese spot! From VA to MD, this is the BEST Chinese food I’ve had. Everything was fresh and hot! Prep time was quick, they were friendly even though they were busy with a slew of call in orders and pickups.

Tried the general tso, shrimp fried rice, fries, spring rolls and wings plus the blue lemonade. Everything was delicious and the price point is great as well!

I can’t wait to get back and try more of their menu.“

“Since Eastern Gourmet has opened it has become our go-to for great Chinese takeout. We have ordered an extensive amount of the menu and there aren't any dishes that haven't blown us away. The food is amazing, the service is attentive, and the prices are quite reasonable for the quality and portion sizes.“

The portions are very generous for the rice and the spring/egg rolls come in twos. I do wish the fried rice had a little more soy sauce but that was a quick fix at home. I wasn't a fan of the spring rolls; however, the Philly egg rolls were great! I love how clean it smelled upon walking in. It smelled very fresh on the inside. “After sampling several places when we moved to the area, this is by far our favorite place for Chinese food take-out. I was on a quest for the best boneless spare ribs and so far this is it. The quality has been consistent and delicious. We order for delivery frequently and of course stop by anytime we're at the game shop in the same plaza.

I'll use pork fried rice (my husband's staple order) as an example. You won't find tiny little scrap bits of pork here.. no, no - you'll get actual pieces. The vegetables - an often overlooked and disrespected part of any takeout menu - actually have color to them and still look fresh. The rice still has some life left in it instead of being hard, oily, and overcooked. It feels like genuine care was put into assembling this classic dish that so many other establishments just phone in.“

It's worth it. This was the first place that I was introduced to Chinese carryout food and mumbo sauce. Check this out: Mumbo sauce is a DIP for fried chicken wings and not a wet rub. The correct and best way is to dip your fried chicken wings in the mumbo sauce (like you dip your wings in ranch dressing). If you want to smother your wings in mumbo sauce, then that is your personal preference, but anyone or any place serving the wings to you already smothered in mumbo sauce is wrong. Mumbo sauce is pink and is supposed to come in a condiment cup (just like ranch dressing). Another thing: The wings here taste good on their own and better with mumbo sauce. Best wings in the DMV. Best mumbo sauce in the DMV. Best wings & mumbo sauce pairing in the DMV. I said it. I left the DMV years ago and there is no American Chinese carryout that compares to this place in my travels. Trust me, only NYC Chinese carryouts can dare compete. I only took off a star because of my ordering experience years ago. I brought my brother here to order carryout because I am not brave enough to go to the hood by myself, and the lady who took my order was rude, not nice, unfriendly, unwelcoming, the worst. It's as if I wasn't a human being. If I wasn't determined to have my brother taste the food (he agreed that it tasted really good), then I would have turned around and said forget it.“

The restaurant made a mistake on my order that I didn’t realize until I was already back at my hotel room. When I called them, they immediately offered to fix the mistake by delivering the missed item to me and were at my hotel within 10 minutes which was AWESOME! “Went here with my girlfriend and got :- 6 fried 6 steamed dumplings- general tso’s- fried rice- rice noodles- wonton soupI can easily say it was the best dumplings I have ever had. The rice noodles were very good and the wonton soup was alright. The gen tsos was as expected (good) and the fried rice was pretty good. I will definitely be coming back and getting more. She went to panda express last and told the manager my husband is diabetic . he gave her a bottle of orange juice. And told her to give it to me. His shop had not opened yet but he still gave her the juice. Where the other food places told her no we r not open. When i recovered i went to panda ex to eat food and stablise my sugar. The manage then asked me was i ok now. And he refused to take money for the orange juice. Wow what a man. I can see why he is the manager.“

“Great portions, nice people, and they dispose of waste properly, whereas the wings and dollar places next door pollute the neighborhood with sloppy trash disposal and cleaning. Sometimes the whole neighborhood is covered with the trash blown out of a dumpster and bus stop is flooded with dirty floor washing water, especially the wings place. Bad!! I stopped coming to this location for a Year or so! Because the Customer service was beyond rude, ghetto, stank attitudes and drive thru or inside workers acted as if you were bothering them. But TODAY!! 3-31-25 on the intercom and thru the Drive-Thru Brian was nice, welcoming, patient, friendly, respectful totally what defines excellent customer service in a fast food business. The Ambiance was cool the manger was equally as nice and pleasant. They both redeem this place with Me and the rest of my family with coming back again!!.. so if you ever read this thank you sooo much because I Missed the Teriyaki Chicken!!! & Super Greens!! . The manger said they did a cut of 52 plus workers because of the customers complaints etc GOOD!! I don't support trash customer service at all!! esp being on both sides a chef and a customer! That's not a good look! . Got the Honey Sesame Chicken which was the right amount of crispy , tender meat and excellent amount of honey!, the super greens stayed perfection still seasoned/steamed well enough cooked but crisp same time!, the broccoli beef was goood the meat extra tender how it should be!!
