“I love a good ole Charlie's steak and cheese close to my house . The steakum is pretty well seasoned. The chicken & cheese is pretty good as well as the flavorful wings. Always hot and fresh. “Whole wheat bun is great. Veggie sub is packed with cheese and the toppings are great. If you're sensitive about cheese sharing space with meat in the slicer, honestly just ask them to wipe down the slicer before cutting your cheese. They offered the first time we were there and we have asked them a dozen times since and they are always cool about it. Top notch place. We're big fans.“

“Cute spot, good oatmilk cappacino, and fast food made on order. They have a lot of bread options and turkey bacon or sausage as we as the regular ones. Limited seating in winter but enough and looks like a fun patio for warmer weather. It's in a a neighborhood and good for people watching and just being a part of daily routine of DC.“

“Every time I'm anywhere near Earl's while out doing errands I stop in and get a sandwich. Now this is the way a lunch sandwich should be- clearly REAL turkey meat, fresh lightly toasted multigrain bread, green (not white/yellow) lettuce and (in my favorite case) real cranberry spread. So good and reasonably-priced; I could eat lunch here many days/week if I were in the area more frequently.“

“Holy Moly, what an awesome sandwich! I had the italiano, the focaccia was soft, airy and flavorful. The sandwich was a perfect balance of salt, fat, acid, heat. Salt and fat from the meat, acid from the vinaigrette and heat but not too hot from the hot pepper.
Can’t wait to return and try other items.“

“I went into McAlester’s deli and I believe the cashier name was Iyana and she was so patient and welcoming! She was the best with assisting, helping and even suggesting things. “I recently visited this spot and had an absolutely wonderful experience from the moment I walked through the doors. If you're looking for fantastic Asian cuisine, this place definitely needs to be on your radar.
First off, the service is incredibly friendly and welcoming. The staff made us feel right at home immediately, and one of my favorite highlights was the complimentary hot tea they provided right as we sat down. It’s such a comforting, traditional touch that really sets a relaxing tone for a great meal.
As for the menu, the food was simply great. Everything we ordered came out piping hot, beautifully plated, and packed with incredible flavor. You can tell they really care about the quality of their ingredients and the authenticity of their dishes. The meal completely exceeded my expectations.
One quick heads-up for anyone planning to visit specifically for the market: the attached grocery portion of the business is currently shut down. It didn't negatively impact our dining experience at all, but it’s definitely good to know if you were planning to pick up some ingredients after your meal.
Overall, between the top-notch food, the stellar and attentive service, and the cozy atmosphere, it was a fantastic visit. I will absolutely be coming back again soon to explore more of the menu. Highly recommend!“

“New favorite sandwich! The Philly Special comes loaded with shaved ribeye, cherry pepper mayo, applewood smoked bacon, Cooper Sharp cheese, lettuce, tomato, and super thin red onion. Basically, it’s what would happen if a Philly cheesesteak and a BLT had a baby.
The flavors work well together. The ribeye is tender, the bacon adds a little smokiness, and that cherry pepper mayo gives just the right amount of heat without being too spicy. It’s messy in the best way, the kind of sandwich you need both hands (and a few napkins) for.
For $17 it’s packed to the brim and could easily be two meals. Totally worth it if you’re craving something indulgent. Grazie Grazie nailed this one.“

“I stopped by Pret A Manger in downtown D.C. for a quick breakfast, and it was exactly what I needed — fast, clean, and consistently good. The atmosphere is bright and casual, perfect for grabbing a bite before work or while exploring the city. The staff were efficient and polite, keeping the line moving even during the morning rush.

Although it represents an historic era architecturally, Old Town Alexandria has a diverse and ever-changing restaurant vibe. One of the more recent additions, and a welcome one, is Capo Italian Deli.
The shop is located where King Street intersects N. Washington Street, on the northeast side of N. Washington Street. It offers hot and cold sandwiches – think chicken or beef cheesesteaks (6-inch, $14.49; 12-inch $17.49), chicken parm ($13.50) and from the cold sandwich selections (on freshly-baked Italian Seeded, Philly Sub Roll, Wheat Roll, Spinach Wrap) they offer traditional deli fare, including honey ham, roast beef, an Italian combo with salami hot capicola, and provolone (6-inch $14.49, 12-inch $17.49). My go-to is a turkey/roast beef half and half, on a Philly sub roll.
For a shop that takes up a remarkably small amount of space, the menu is unusually well crafted. Each time I visit I witness a healthy delivery trade, with online orders heading out the door every few minutes. There are tables and chairs both inside and outside the shop, with the outside seating offering a front-row view of Old Town at its best. Service has consistently been good, the place is spotlessly clean, and the sandwiches taste just as good the second day, so ordering a 12-inch becomes a real bargain, if you get two meals out of one order.“

“This place has never disappointed me over 3-4 visits at this specific location over 3 years. I’ve tried the one at I think Wheaton or something and Baltimore near Johns Hopkins and this place is always at least a 4/5 and the other locations really paled in comparison.
Comforting to see that a popular train station has reliable fast food. Fries are my favorite kind, crispy on the outside but super fluffy on the inside. Gourmet fries are also delish. Cheesesteaks (as someone who’s never been to Philly yet) seem pretty good at the price point too.“

You are greeted by a sweet lady you pay for the food you go ahead and sit down at the table and when you open up the food you get to see eggs scrambled with cheese the correct way, The cheese is melted on top of the eggs just what it supposed to look like Not Cheese scrambled with the eggs Like other places. The home fries are seasoned and prepared with love. They are the best tasting out of all the other places I have visited like Denny's, IHOP, Brookland Grill.

“I visited this place awhile ago and there is something very special about this place. i had catfish with fries and it was very fresh and not greasy at all. I had a brief conversation with owner and i was told they used very high level oil to fry the food. They definitely care about the quality of the food more than anything. “I grew up in Brentwood and recently moved back to the area, and Joe’s has always been my go to Chinese carryout. I’ve been coming here for years and the food is always fresh, hot, and consistent. Portions are generous, prices are fair, and the service is quick and friendly. Whether I’m in the mood for comfort food or just need a reliable takeout spot, Joe’s Carry Out never lets me down. Definitely a Brentwood, Mount Rainier & Hyattsville staple!“
