“This is a super small, unassuming little shop, but it is an absolute must-try. The bagels are incredibly delicious, chewy, and fresh. They have a brilliant selection of both bagel varieties and spreads/toppings, meaning there is something to satisfy every craving.
The only crucial thing to keep in mind is that they do not accept card payments. It is strictly a cash-only establishment, so make sure to come prepared. If you are looking for a top-tier, no-nonsense bagel in D.C., I highly recommend checking this place out!“

“The Bagelry Deli is a clear 5-star Jewish deli and absolutely deserves its strong rating. Located at 36 Vital Way, Silver Spring, MD 20904, this spot delivers top-tier quality across the board.
The Italian sandwich on an egg bagel was outstanding—fresh, perfectly layered, and packed with flavor. The potato salad on the side was just as impressive, clearly homemade and done right. The egg salad sandwich with slaw was another 5-star item—rich, balanced, and complemented perfectly by the crisp, flavorful slaw. Everything here reflects attention to detail, from ingredient quality to execution. This is exactly how a proper deli should operate—no shortcuts, just consistently excellent food.

“This has definitely become my new local coffee shop. It’s the kind of place you can go to every day before work starts—it has already become that for me.
The atmosphere is great; it’s a very easy place to get some work done or settle in with a book, and the outdoor seating is a huge plus. I love coming here in the morning for an iced mocha and their sausage, egg, and cheese on an everything bagel. The seasoning is excellent and the food is always fresh.
The staff is super nice and they are incredibly quick with orders. I’m already planning on heading back this Saturday with my new read.

“I love this bagel spot—it’s consistently good, and the staff is always genuinely friendly. It’s more of a grab-and-go place than somewhere to sit and dine, but they do have a small table inside and a couple outside.
They’re also pet-friendly, which I really appreciate. They’ve given my dog bacon before. It’s those small, thoughtful touches that make a place stand out.
Anytime I’m craving a bagel, this is where I go. The spreads are great, and the menu is well-curated—plenty of solid options without feeling overwhelming.
Also, a small but underrated detail: they usually have good music playing, which makes the experience and wait time that much better.“

“Chez Lily has some of the best coffee I've ever had. I stop by every morning, and it's always consistently great. The atmosphere is awesome—super welcoming and a great way to start the day.
The customer service is what really keeps me coming back. Everyone is so friendly, and you can tell they genuinely care. Big shoutout to Iyanna, Kai, and Diego! They're always kind, upbeat, and make every visit a great experience.

“We came for a weekday brunch. We ordered a breakfast sandwich and a spinach omelet. The delicious sandwich was on a beautiful grilled bagel, and the egg portion was generous as was the cheese. The omelet was stuffed full of saites spinach, mushrooms, sausage and cheese. It was served with homemade potatoes and toast. We finished the meal with a generous fruit cup that was also delicious. The only thing that would have made it better was eating on a real plate and not paper. However, the food is totally worth making this a regular stop!“

“We’ve been regular customers since well before Neal’s moved to its current location. The bagels are delicious (more New Yorky and flavorful than others in the area) and always fresh. The sliced turkey breast, Nova, and chicken salad are some of our favorites. Lots of other tasty menu items too. Highly recommend!“

“My wife took me for brunch and at first, the menu looked good - but I didn’t expect TOO much lol after I took my first bite all I could say was, “Wow!” And I said Wow after every bite until I finished the bagel. The portion size was generous and the bagel came out fresh and hot (I got the Jetski). The coffee was mild and it went down easy (I got a black cold brew), but the one item that blew my mind was the strawberry swirl shmear‼ we took one home and it was good on everything 😂 100/10 and would definitely recommend it to anybody looking for a new deli spot 🙏🏽“

“I love going to Bethesda bagel on Old Georgetown road. The bagels are the best. I get the tuna fish out of the refrigerator. The manager who gives me my bagels is so nice. I wish them all the luck. “Love this place. Walk in the door and immediately to the right is Lawd Shawarma! A wonderfully warm meal of fish & eggs with vegan bread and Christmas-spiced Sorrel / Hibiscus drink. “Wow what a great find. I came out this way to go to a nearby doctors appointment and stumbled upon this hidden gem. They have a great selection of bagels 🥯, salads and sandwiches. The raspberry-chocolate coffee and bagel were both perfect. Some places don’t get coffee and bagels right but this place does!!!!Lol I’ll make sure to see my doctor again here in McLean, VA instead of MD just so I can stop by this deli. To the owner: My only suggestion is to carry Scones. Also the ladies working behind the counter were very friendly and professional .“

“This is my go-to for lunch when I am at the office and I've been going for 5 years. Family run business that makes the best sandwiches in Tysons. It's in the basement of an office building and is a very utilitarian space--you don't come here for the atmosphere. That said, it is always clean and well stocked with non-alcoholic drinks. Breakfast and lunch sandwiches are both great. You can eat there, or grab and take back to your office if you are nearby. My co-workers and I think the prices are on the low side, but that may be the economics of their location. A typical sandwich there is anywhere from $3-$5 cheaper than what you would expect topside in the Boro or Galleria, and the portions are actually bigger.
The owners are the best of best. Always welcoming and friendly.“

“We stumbled upon Baked by Yael when we visited the Old Town Alexandria’s farmers market and David was wonderful and helped us discover their cake pops and that our little guy could eat them! We then had the pleasure of speaking with Yael when we visited the shop in DC. We had a cookie bar, black and white cookie (divine) and more cake pops that our kiddo could have! Finding a place that understands food allergies and has items that we can eat has been amazing! Highly recommend!“
