His thoughtful recommendations, warm demeanor, and perfectly timed attentiveness made for an unforgettable evening. Even as the restaurant got busier, Yacine maintained his focus on us— a warm and welcoming touch that elevated the entire experience. Thank you! As fans of Persian cuisine and frequent shoppers at Yekta Market in Rockville— having recently tried our hand at making Persian dishes like Fesenjan at home— coupled with all of the culinary accolades— we had high expectations for JOON. It not only met but exceeded them. Mast-o Musir, yogurt dish with Persian dried shallot and rose petal, was exceptional— more elevated and nuanced than any we’ve had. The mushroom Khoresht stew with white truffle was another highlight, offering perfectly balanced flavors something hard to do with white truffles and a satisfying richness, complemented by the perfectly crunchy Tahdig, iconic golden rice crust. The braised lamb shoulder which Yacine suggested was the undeniable highlight of the meal I which each dish was excellent. Tender and flavorful, it was paired beautifully with texture. It’s a signature dish that rivals the best we’ve ever had, bringing to mind the legendary Bo Ssam pork shoulder from David Chang’s Momofuku— bold, unforgettable, and expertly prepared. The Gormeh Sabzi, short rib stew with its delicious sour depth, was excellent but couldn’t quite match the lamb’s showstopping brilliance. Two very minor points. While the food and service are exceptional, the main dining room lighting would benefit from dimming. A water filtration water system could make a big difference as well. JOON has firmly secured its place as a must-visit dining destination for us. We can’t wait to return and explore more of the menu.“

“The Parthenon is my go-to local restaurant for dining outdoors or inside at the bar. I love the wide range of dishes, from vegetarian Greek dishes to very reasonably priced gyro plates with tzatziki, salad, and fries. The cold mezze plate is great and the swordfish is superb. Don't miss the crabcakes which I think are the best in DC -- all crabmeat, no breadcrumbs, and delicious taste. When I want a treat I get a dinner with one crabcake and one soft shell crab. The Greek wines are very good and reasonably priced. I love the fact the restaurant is family owned and run, and the staff is very attentive and friendly.“

“I went during the late afternoon. Parking was ok. I was able to find street parking. I walked in as a first time customer and was greeting with a warm welcome. The staff talked to me about the different areas of the restaurant and upcoming events. I was waited on almost immediately. My drink came first; which was really good and priced well. I ordered wings and salad. Everything came out hot and tasted really good. The vibes during this time I day was chill with good music. I was told they have DJs later on in the evening. “I recently dined at Space DC Restaurant & Lounge, and I must say their exceptional customer care truly stood out. As someone with a severe allergy, dining out can often be a stressful experience. However, the staff at Space went above and beyond to ensure my meal was not only safe but thoroughly enjoyable.

Upon informing the bartender, Josue Vasquez, about my allergy, he immediately reassured me and took detailed notes to communicate with the chef, Marcel Che, and Sous Chef, James Jones. What really impressed me was their proactive approach: Chef Che personally came out to discuss my dietary restrictions and preferences. On hand, there was not such an enhancement for my dish so they crafted a special dipping sauce on the spot, ensuring it was free from any allergens and tailored to my taste.

The attention to detail and genuine concern for my well-being made the entire dining experience incredibly comfortable and pleasant. “An Incredible Experience at Realm Rooftop DC!

Realm Rooftop DC hosted my private watch party for my show, Put A Ring On It: CHEATHAB on OWN, and I truly could not have asked for a better experience.

From the moment we arrived, Evens Charles and the entire Realm team made me and my guests feel welcomed, celebrated, and incredibly well taken care of. Hosting an event tied to something as personal and special as my television show meant a lot to me, and they understood the assignment!

The rooftop itself is beautiful, sophisticated, and has the perfect DC energy. But what really stood out was the level of service. The staff was attentive, professional, accommodating, and genuinely invested in making sure the evening was a success. Every detail mattered, and I never felt like I had to worry about whether my guests were being taken care of…… AND the food was YUMMY!!!!!

The atmosphere was perfect for bringing people together, watching the show, and having an amazing conversation afterward about love and relationships. My guests had a wonderful time, and so did I.

I travel often and host events in different cities, so I don’t take exceptional hospitality for granted. Realm Rooftop DC gave me exactly that.

Thank you to Evens Charles and the entire Realm team for helping make my DC Put A Ring On It: CHEATHAB watch party such a memorable night. I would absolutely host another event here and recommend Realm to anyone looking for a beautiful rooftop venue in DC with a team that truly knows how to take care of its guests.

But I want to sound an alarm for anyone looking for an EXCLUSIVE experience at Air lounge. I just left. Let me set the stage for you. Atmosphere is great! Venue, great! And our service was very friendly and helpful… let’s get to the main bits…. If you are interested in “VIP BOTTLE SERVICE” please know that there is a 2 hour limit. This was never communicated to us. Not once! We paid the fee. Bought food. For roughly a $500 tab (gratuity was included) but we were told at a certain point that we had to “finish up”. Before we were done with our bottle! No where on the website did (does) it indicate that there was/is a two hour minimum (we provided recipes to the manager on duty). So you can imagine our surprise when the staff approached us with this news. To make things worse… I asked the new folks sitting next to us if they’d bought the VIP bottle service. She said “no, we just reserved the booth. No fee. Excuse me??? Jokes on us in guess. Myself, and the people with me, where celebrating. We paid for the premium “VIP” experience and we’re told we had to “wrap up” before we finished our bottle! WHAT DOES “VIP Bottle service” mean exactly to Air Restaurant??? Do not get VIP service here. It means nothing. We paid our money (plus gratuity). So they got theirs. But did we get ours… Na! Be cautious. Save money. Just reserve a table. Attached is an example of an event happening next week, currently on their web site. As you can see… no mention of any 2 hour limit. Proceed with caution. Also, I did some deep research to find the “2 hour table” reference I was presented with by the manager. Found this on Yelp/Open Table. (See attachment) Does this actually apply to VIP ($300+) “Bottle service” tables!? Or just the regular tables!? Someone please help me understand! What does VIP REALLY mean here? And also…. Who’s going directly to “open door” To make a reservation with them? You’d most likely visit their website… Right? Can someone please help me make this make sense?“

“The workers here are absolutely wonderful, and the menu offers a lot of great variety. However, there was one glaring issue: plastered on the front of the menus, and in a standalone poster, as well as in the own cafe's website, is a problematic and disingenuous message telling customers that the cafe is raising prices because of the proposition to increase pay for tipped workers. It claims that the workers choose their job because they love it (implying the money is unimportant to them), and implying that having to pay their workers real wages is hurting small businesses.

Edit: I sincerely appreciate the respectful and elucidating response to my review. I still find the messages regarding the fee distasteful as I believe it has deeply troubling implications, and wish the fee could simply be built into the price. I hope to see this updated“
