“Unfortunately the service was displeasing at best. The ingredients were in good to decent shape in comparison to the numerous other SG locations I’ve been at, but the service was disappointing. One of the workers who took my on Sunday evening shift was generous with the base, which I appreciated, but skimpy with the vegetable and protein toppings. She did not bother to actually empty the scoop, so my bowl ended up with half scoops of pickled cabbage, onion, etc. I had to wait for the steak to be cut, and while it was nice to get it fresh, the portions were maybe half or two-thirds of the usual protein. SG has always been good hearted and for my personal preference perfectly slightly with their protein, so it was quite noticeable. My friend commented as well. She did plate the bowl neatly and was very generous with the blue cheese for some reason. She also overcharged a dollar or so, not sure where. It was just disappointing.“

“We took the family out to dinner tonight, and tried N&S on a whim. We were very pleasantly surprised by the friendly staff, quick service, and quality food. Everything was hot and tasty, fries crispy and well-seasoned. Portions and price for value are both really good. We will definitely return!“

“We have a big party in Choyhona on Saturday, March 9th. The tables were set beautifully, salads and kebabs were tasty (most recommend Kutabi with meat). Everything was served in time. Waiters were friendly and efficient. Highly recommend.“

My husband comes here about once a week and he is always happy to see Eric working because he does the best salad chopping and makes sure every customer he serves is happy with their bowl. “Our son lives in the area and we have been here 4-5 since January ( every time we visit) The owners are wonderful and the staff very attentive The fish taco appetizer is wonderful ( can be enough for an entree if not wanted a big meal) I’ve had many of the entrees and never a bad meal . “The best experience! From the moment we walked in Carlos was very attentive, it was my families first time there and they were unsure about the safe flavors. He came to us with all the sauce flavors to try. He took his time to explain everything. He checked up on us to see how we were doing. He also came and recommended dessert which was sooooo good. I was very happy with our visit and I’m sad we don’t have one in my hometown (Frederick MD) but I was so happy with my visit here. Food was amazing and fresh“

“I had visited a Chopt once before, but my recent visit truly stood out. This particular location is one of the cleanest and friendliest I have encountered.

I received a warm welcome from the staff, and I was impressed by the expanded menu offerings, especially the addition of steak and salmon. Carlos, one of the managers, recommended the Southwestern Steak Salad with avocado and a blend of chipotle ranch and Mexican Goddess dressing. It was absolutely delicious!

Despite it being a busy lunch and seemingly fewer employees working, Carlos took the time to provide recommendations, and his suggestion was perfect. I will definitely be returning.

“We visited DC this weekend from NC. I went to DC Vegan with my non-vegan husband. Two days later he's still raving about the chick'n cutlet club. He said it was the best "chicken" sandwich he ever had and I can't convince him it was actually vegan 😆 Well done friends 👏👏 I had the artichoke bowl which was fantastic and the cheesecake is to die for! Wish we could have stayed in DC longer as I would have loved to try the other menu items.“

She was still in her gear and medals from the Competition and everyone was saying congratulations to her! This absolutely made my 9 year olds day even more special, when they brought her a tray with desert and congratulations on your great day written on the paper! I am glad we stopped in on the way home to Virginia! Thank you all! oh the deserts were great!“

“Fantastic spot! The drinks are to die for—try the spicy bees knees!— and the food is great. The atmosphere is perfectly moody and the music is good and played there perfect level so that it can be enjoyed but it is still easy to hear conversation with your party. I especially love the cozy couches in the back lounge.“

“Best way to describe it is as an Indian inspired - chipotle, noodles &co, poke place, etc. choose one or more proteins, carbs, veggies, toppings, sauces.

It allows for a variety of combinations that one should find very satisfying. The portion size was pretty good and the value was also very good but consider the high rent location you are in and take that into account. Restaurants in that general area by the convention center are “expense account joints”. I was glad they were there when I just wanted to take my time and eat something satisfying in a quiet place.“

“I have eaten here thrice before. with my colleagues. I ordered the basil fried rice with vegetable and chicken. It was bursting with fresh flavors and wonderfully intense spiciness. Everything is so clean, and the staff is friendly and efficient! We were the last ones to leave and never felt rushed or like we were being a nuisance to the staff. I had a third, wonderful experience and i highly recommend it!“

“Red Hound Pizza has become the favorite pizza place in Takoma Park for me and many of my friends who live nearby. Their pizzas are hearty and delicious with a thick, 100% whole wheat crust using flours that are grown and milled by one of their neighbors just down the street. They also use local produce when possible and therefore their veggie pizza rotates every two weeks. They also have soft serve which rotates regularly with fun toppings like roasted pear or dehydrated chocolate cake. The owners are really great. The pizza is on the expensive side ($4-5/slice) compared to other pizza so you gotta pay a premium for high-quality ingredients. They also sell pizza by the slice. You can dine-in for casual eating -- they only have a few small tables inside and some more picnic tables in a closed off parking lot in the back. Take note: their pizza is rectangular! And the crust will taste different from almost any other pizza you've had bc of the 100% whole wheat sourdough. Also they don't have gluten-free options but they do always have a vegan option. fwiw Red Hound always uses 100% whole grains -- this will appeal to some (more protein, more fiber!) and not to others.“
