“This is a to-go Indian chaat spot located inside a gas station. Here’s how it works: you place your order at the cashier, and they bring the food out to you. There’s also a small corner with a few chairs if you want to eat quickly and head out.

We ordered the samosa wrap, which this place is known for - and it was delicious. The filling includes chana and rice by default, along with whatever other toppings you choose, making it quite hearty and satisfying.

We also tried the dahi puri chaat, which was very good. My husband and I shared both dishes and were completely full by the end. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area.

Oh - almost forgot! They also sell Indian beers here like Haywards 5000 and Kingfisher, if that’s your thing.“

Hüseyin is usually in front (super generous and friendly) along with his dad or another staffer, and I think his mom makes the pastries herself through a delicate time-consuming process. Of course have the strong Turkish coffee, no milk or sugar! Not sure if they still do but at some point a small Turkish coffee came for free with your meal.

Note: the dish usually comes with a more appetizing looking cream; it was added after this photo (and to his credit he remembered right after someone else served it, happens!)

Also, once I asked Hüseyin about a lemon based Turkish hand sanitizer and he just gave it to me. Good guy.“

“Such a cute spot! It was pretty busy when I arrived, but the vibe was still great. I ordered a vanilla latte, which was smooth and delicious. I also tried the avocado toast on their homemade focaccia. Really tasty, though I think a touch of salt or more flavorful pickled onions could have taken it up a notch. I had my eye on the strawberry matcha, but they were out of matcha that day. Still, it was a lovely experience overall and I’d definitely come back!“

“We give it a 5/5. The coffee was rich, smooth, and precisely sweetened. Both the mango matcha latte and strawberry latte were surprisingly delicious. In our opinion, their croissant was the best we've had - exceptionally moist and flaky! My daughter even declared it the best breakfast ever 😅

Let’s not get carried away, it’s not as nice as a really good French croissant made with butter, but that’s probably impossible. Several other vegan options for breakfast like avocado toast and breakfast bowls. No English breakfast tea or soya milk, but they did have Earl Grey and several other types of non-dairy milk. “I’ve lived in the area for years and have been waiting for a coffee shop in this neighborhood. Semicolon is wonderful! Very cute and modern inside. The Bulgogi sandwich is soooo good. I also love their Biscoff latte. Delicious! The cost of the specialty latte however is a little high. Though $7 for a latte is pretty normal, the size is quite small for the price.“

“I walked there with a neighbor and ate breakfast. They were kind to deviate from the menu a little though the bread type was incorrect. I kept it as it was made. A very small price to pay for their kindness. The customers were all well-dressed and refined. A very classy yet informal place.“

“After visiting several bike shops in the Loudoun/Fairfax Co area, The Bike Lane Reston provided the best vibe and customer experience, hands down. Adam Reel and Ben (I think I was Ben's first customer on his first day on the job!) were fantastic - they took time on a typically busy but rainy Sunday to patiently educate me on different types of bikes, sizing/fitting, and getting me on the RIGHT bike with NO pressure or up-sell. In the end, I fell in love with and purchased the Trek Checkpoint ALR 4 in Lavender Haze, kitted out for touring. Adam worked diligently in arriving at a very fair price and was also gracious in sharing his considerable knowledge, experience and advice for riding the type of trails that I aspire toward, such as the C&O/GAP. Of note, another Trek dealership closer to home offered to match the price for the same bike, but the stellar service I received from Adam won me over. Well done to Adam and Ben and the entire Bike Lane team!
UPDATE: 8/04/25: Just returned from the C&O Canal trail. The bike totally crushed the ride - even the hilly gravel between Purcellville and Brunswick. So pleased with this purchase!“

“If you are looking for great sushi in Arlington, you need to try Sushi Garden. The miso was full-bodied, the rolls were fresh and well-structured, and the prices were reasonable. I have found my place for great sushi in Rosslyn. The menu is slightly limited (no gyoza or shumai), but what they have is excellent! I wish I had tried them sooner. You have to look for it next to Royal Barber, but it is worth the trip.“

“Since checking this place out, I have become a regular customer, and now come in 1-2x a week for a grocery restock. I have had no time to cook since the new year and had been eating out almost every meal.... but there are so few places around with healthy options. I am so picky about what fruits and veggies, organic items, etc. that I eat, and thankfully sprouts has provided great options for that! The baristas/cashiers are always so helpful and kind to us. Some of my favorites are-- ALL of the soups (seriously that chicken and rice is perfection, especially if you are under the weather), turkey chili, thai wrap, veggie wrap, egg roll in a bowl, drunken noodles, bbq chicken and succotash, the vitality ginger drink (that spice burns but feels good!), the challah and sourdough bread, eskimo bites for a treat, and the strawberry blondie brownies! I am trying new things as the menu changes, but these have been on my constant restock when available of what I have had so far!! I recently learned they can heat the items for you, so you can eat a hot meal there (I have not done this yet myself, as this is like grocery shopping for me so i take it home... but i have seen lots of people in there enjoying their meals!) I have seen some complain about the prices, but if you know the quality of what you are getting (local, organic), then you would realize these are very fair prices! If I have ever wanted to request something or had a slight issue, Sprouts has always been more than happy to accommodate. “Open City at the National Cathedral is a funky, charming spot for breakfast, lunch, dessert or coffee. Located in the same parking lot of the Cathedral, parking can be a bit tricky with reserved spots all over the place. The parking garage is close-by and easy to use. The service at Open City is very friendly and fast. The menu gives options for any diet and for just wanting a small bite to being hungry for an entire meal. Our party had the chicken salad croissants (which were huge) that were served with house chips and the poke bowls. We were a hungry group, but none of us were able to clean our plates because there was so much food! Next time, we're going in for dessert and coffee!“
