“Ellie Bird has been on our list to try since they opened. Like their sister restaurant Rooster & Owl, the menu is both refined and rustic, with an emphasis on small plates great for sharing. We went for dinner and ordered the bread basket, spring green salad, Vietnamese french onion soup, salted cod rangoons, pomelo larb, braised lamb shank and chocolate cake. The pineapple buns are a carry over from Rooster & Owl that I’d happily eat with every meal. The Vietnamese french soup is aptly named, a wonderful combination of richly aromatic braised oxtail broth reminiscent of a fabulous pho with the oniony, cheesy, crouton goodness of a classic french onion. The rangoons are a perfect execution of an American Thai staple and the pomelo larb burst with flavor. The lamb shank, expertly cooked and glazed, was easily split between the two of us and sat on a bed of herbaceous tabouleh.A delay in getting us to our seats at the chefs counter resulted in several comped plates throughout the meal and we were very grateful for the above and beyond. The asparagus and pine berry salad added to our starter course was a true delight, who knew they were such a good pair!I’ll be interested to see how the restaurant continues to evolve. While Rooster & Owl remains our go-to for special occasions, we will absolutely come back to Ellie Bird with friends and family in tow and certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal.“

“Hubby and I stopped here before going to the movies as we got to the mall fairly late. Luckily these guys were still open as everyone else in the food court had already closed up shop. We ended up getting 2 pieces dark chicken and fries with mo’s sauce and their garlic sauce. The chicken was actually really juicy and the sauce were good the garlic sauce is very garlic with I love but if that’s not ur jam get then might want to stand clear.“

“Excellent food and customer service! It's the first visit and definitely not the last. Their food it's fresh and with a lot of flavor! We came as a large group and we all tried different dishes. The mixed grill (delicious), combo rice bowl (amazing), hummus (creamy and authentic), chicken (soft and flavorful) and stuffed grape leaves (tasty). Make sure you try both of their sauces, so so so good! Didn't get a chance to take a picture as we were eating as soon as the food touched the table :).The staff checked how was the food and if we needed anything during our visit.Overall, this will be our place to go for good food! “The gentleman behind the counter was extremely friendly and helpful and accommodating. The Peruvian Chicken was fabulous as well as the Rice with Cilantro and Lime and the Slaw Salad mixed with the Tomato, Cilantro and Onion Jalapeno. The food was fantastic.“

Came down to Gaithersburg to go to an unrelated shop which was unfortunately closed; a bit bummed, we looked around, and found this absolute gem.My SO says the SOB tacos remind her of a good, home cooked meal, and I found the chicken reuben to be just as excellent, juicy without being sloppy.My SO also said the margarita was as close to perfect as possible, and I thought the aviation tasted excellent as well.I’m really glad the other place we initially came to this area for was closed, else we may not have stumbled onto S&G. “My husband and I stopped here on a whim last night. For the price we paid, the service and food were phenomenal. We ordered online, and the gentleman who got our food for us when we arrived was so welcoming and kind. The food smelled amazing, and for about $16 per person, we both got more food than we could eat.We will definitely be returning. Such delicious fried chicken, it's really a stand-out place.“

“Although it was mostly empty when we visited on a weekday evening, the venue and convenient location are appealing. Friendly staff and fair prices, what's not to like. Being first time here, and not knowing the regular portions and size of the chicken, we ordered the whole chicken family meal with 3 sides. It was much more than we could handle. The chicken was good. I think he gave us an extra piece (leftover?) and perhaps that's why we had so much. The Brussels Sprouts was the star of the place - sweet and savory, delicious. 5 stars! We changed our mind at the last minute, and decided to eat in. Can't say it's the cold temperature, but the chicken was cold to the touch for some reason. Maybe it was the extra piece we got. Regardless, it's worth a trip, and will visit again when I have a craving for Peruvian cuisine.“

“Dave’s hot chicken is the best. I can’t get enough of this place, the chicken sliders and cheese fries are delicious as well as the milkshakes. The price is pretty reasonable as well. The Mac and cheese is not it for me though, it tastes like microwaved Mac and cheese and I would not recommend it. Daves hot chicken would’ve have gotten a 5 if the Mac and cheese tasted better.“

“I love the food here! They have new sandwiches and dishes rolling out semi-regularly. It's a great mix of Sichuan and a great chicken sandwich. If you are afraid of spice I think the Hot Boy spice level is not too spicy at all! Just be warned it is a play off of nashville hot chicken sandwiches so the sandwiches are wetter than your average chicken sandwich. The Taj ma hot and the Hot Boy deluxe-club sandwich are my go to orders, the Ube coffee is a nice creamy sweet treat as well. Service is overall good, the person working the front is nice and patient, you can order at the kiosk. Sometimes the food takes some time because they fry and prepare everything right after you order so it stays fresh, but it is worth the wait!Dietary restrictions: The chicken is HalalParking: This location is in the Ballston mall so their is a convenient parking garage attached to the building. “This is my first visit to this location of Hot Lola’s. I had a three piece tender basket. The chicken was nice and hot and fresh, and the waffle fries were delicious! The service was a bit slow, especially given that there were no other customers, but all in all, a good experience.“

“A solid 4. I had the medium hot Nashville style chicken. Tasted great and it was huge. The chicken itself though was "meh". Ah, it wasn't thick and juicy. It was too skinny. Hope that makes sense. The staff was very helpful and kind. We will be back. Fatten up that chicken!;)“

“One of the best chicken sandwiches I’ve had! I love that it’s an all meat chicken breast, no fat or gristle on it at all. I had the medium level spice and it was SPICY!! I wouldn’t advise going higher than that unless you really like heat! The waffle fries were amazing! I had the waffle fries with honey butter and I loved it!! I definitely will be ordering from here again!!“

“Been here twice now. Ordered chicken sandwich both times. First time was right after they opened and was subpar. Chicken was fatty and sandwich soggy. Second time was 10x better! Crispy, nice meaty chicken breast and perfect amount of sauce. Very happy! Definitely worth giving it a try.A bit expensive as it is $15 for a combo but portion sizes are very large and you won’t be hungry after.I always get the Hot level of spice which is just enough for me to feel and make my lips tingle. That being said, I love spicy foods and basically drink habanero sauce. Next time I will try the Extreme heat.“

“Just a donut review. Lots of unique varieties to choose from. All but one seemed fresh and delicious-could they actually be a day old? The cherry blossom was excellent and fresh. Service friendly but there's not much to taking an order and handing it over . Small place by Whole Foods- plenty of parking. They have breakfast sandwiches and fried chicken- have to try that at some point. $24/6 donuts. Mostly worth it for a special occasion!“

“First time ordering from this restaurant and I’m sad I didn’t find them before as it was so good. General sos was the best I’ve ever had, real pieces of chicken and not just breading and mystery meat inside. The sauce was SOO good and homemade. Lo mein was delicious as was the chicken and broccoli. I picked up but saw they have free delivery. Very nice and inside seemed very clean. 100% recommend to anyone looking for quick, delicious, real food.“

“Insanely good ! I love the chicken, it has been consistently good the last 10 years. The sauces are also amazing. I could eat the green sauce with anything. I think the sides are great too, especially rice and beans, plantain and yucca.My only feedback, which you can see in the photo, is it’s not clear why the “Fiesta” meals are actually more expensive than buying separately. Sides cost £4.75 individually (not pictured). I wish I understood that, because why should someone get the fiesta meal?“

“In the afternoon, I found myself needing a quick snack before my next appointment. I happen to be next to Nando's so I stopped in after shopping at REI next door. After ordering at the cashier, I waited on a cushioned bench in front of the pickup window. While I waited, a few employees stopped by to greet and acknowledge me, and I admired the modern decor inside the restaurant. The order took about 8 minutes to complete. I ordered a chicken breast sandwich which was good; it tasted both straightforward and healthy.“

“This used to be my go-to place in high school for Chinese-American food and I hadn't been back in a while, but tonight I decided to check them out for the nostalgia factor. I got a General Tso's and combination aka the china king fried rice and would highly recommend them on the menu. Go visit this small business if you want Chinese American food and are in the area“

“The tenders are very good, crispy and saucy. We got the red.hot pepper tenders this time with a side of rice and also some fish and chips. The wings were not and spicy but just right. It sort of had a sweetness to the heat. They gave us a buffalo type sauce that was just ok that came with it. We asked for extra pepper sauce on the side and they charged an extra $2 when we saw it on the receipt which isn't a big deal but would've been nice to know it's extra. The radishes that came.with the chicken were crunchy. When it came to the fish, it was just ok, it had a rather very strong fishy smell to it which was off-putting. It's pretty dark in there, not much lighting. It's a fairly small restaurant. There's a fridge with other random stuff like soda and other stuff to buy. Service is decent, they came to serve us quickly and came around to refill water. I gave this 4 stars due to the fish being underwhelming. I guess we should stick to the chicken.“

“Great Chick-Fil-A, great people and a certainly my pleasure. I usually go for their spicy chicken meal with a bunch of Chick-fil-A sauce. So far it’s been great. They have a nice place to chill indoor & outdoors so you can even hang out with your friends.“
