“This was one of the BEST sushi restaurants I’ve ever tried. Everything was flavorful, well thought out and made with care and attention to detail. The kale salad was fresh and the carrot ginger dressing was delicious. I had the miso soup and it was phenomenal. The table was very narrow so it was tricky having to move things around however that didn’t take away from the dining experience. The lemonades were amazing and the rolls were so amazing we couldn’t stop talking about the food after we left. 10/10 and I can’t wait to go back!“

However, Sushi Toro is always consistent with their quality especially for their price. The sushi tastes amazing and fresh, the service is wonderful, and the atmosphere is perfect for a date night or a casual dinner with friends. Easily the best sushi I've had in Rockville. “It was my first time at this restaurant. I wanted to eat Omakase style , but they did not have that. But instead they had a 4 course meal plus deserts and I was super impressed with the food. The sushi was fresh and the chef did an outstanding job with the sushis. I love the flavors and the fact that this is truly a gourmet sushi experience. The sushis had the right amount of rice ( not too much) and the sushi rice was seasoned to perfection. I ordered the miso soup and although it was not the usual flavor for me , it was still delicious and not as heavy on the soybean paste. You should rally try it. By the way our waiter Franz did a fantastic job serving us.“

I would highly recommend the laksa, which was my favorite dish out of the 5 we ordered. The lamb satay came second. Ask for some extra sambal, it wasn’t too sweet but the perfect amount of spice!!“

“I grabbed a quick but tasty lunch here of their salmon teriyaki bento box. Although the vast majority of their business is take-out, they do have six tables arranged for sit down dining. So I was not surprised when the Miso soup arrived in a plastic take-out bowl with a lid with a plastic spoon. Large cubes of tofu and attention to flavor made it tasty. The California roll was served on its own heavy duty paper plate, with at least a tablespoon of pickled ginger and a teaspoon of wasabi. The teriyaki salmon, two large pieces, was served in an open to-go box, along with a sizeable portion of edamame and a house salad with a lovely ginger sauce. The salmon was perfectly cooked with enough teriyaki sauce to ensure some with every bite of salmon without the fish swimming in the sauce. Clearly a place worthy of a return visit or at least to phone ahead for take-out.“

“My wife and I googled Osaka Ramen & Sushi restaurant and dined in here this past Tuesday night. She was a bit reluctant to eat here at first due to the basic decor and the fact that no one else was dining in. However, once we tasted the food and experienced the friendly and prompt service, we were overjoyed! We shared the Shumai for an appetizer, which was lightly fried with a delicious sauce. Next, I ordered the Miso Ramen which had lots of yellow noodles with vegetables and tofu. My wife ordered the Teriyaki Salmon which came with a salad, Miso Soup, six Sushi pieces. All the items were delicious. We also drank Saki. The server explained that the restaurant had just received their alcohol license weeks ago. To top off the meal, the server gave us each a sesame ball for dessert on the house. We ordered the Japanese egg rolls to go. The bill was only $64! As a new restaurant, we hope Osaka Ramen & Sushi thrives because the quality of food and the value are among the best we have tried in quite a while. We recommend this restaurant with 5 stars!“
