“We dine here relatively frequently. Plenty of tasty vegan options. Service is good, performed by friendly staff. They play some music, but not too loud. And you can even charge your EV for free (within a few minutes' walk)! What else does one have to ask for? :D
Parking: There are free EV chargers within a few minutes' walk.“

“Tucked just off Georgetown’s bustling main street, Rimtang is a charming ode to Thai street food, capturing the vibrant spirit of its inspiration. The menu offers familiar classics with familiar flavors in an unpretentious setting.
The spring rolls were an instant hit—perfectly crisp with a delicate balance of crabmeat and black mushroom that avoided being overly crabby or earthy. The papaya salad was a refreshing palate cleanser, with a subtle undercurrent of heat that played well with the crunch of green beans, cherry tomatoes, and peanuts.
The spicy crispy calamari was the crowd-pleaser of the table. Imagine bite-sized calamari poppers—light, crunchy, and addictive. Every piece delivered a satisfying snap, and they vanished from the table as quickly as they arrived. The laab tod brought the dry heat I crave at thai spots. Crispy, aromatic bites of kurobuta pork coated in toasted rice powder had a dry, lingering spice that kept me reaching for more.
The panang curry with chicken was a comforting dish that didn’t overdo it. The chicken was tender, swimming in a well-balanced coconut curry with kaffir lime. A side of white rice tied it all together without overwhelming it.
The thai lemongrass pandan tea arrived in a playful freezer bag with a straw—a whimsical touch and a nod to its street food roots. It wasn’t overly sweet either.
The space is clean, though the booths are a little snug for comfort. Our waiter was clearly new and stumbled a bit with the menu, but their kindness and prompt service smoothed over any hiccups. While it doesn’t reinvent the wheel, it nails the essentials—crispy textures, balanced heat, and fresh flavors. For now, it’s a solid stop for a satisfying thai fix.“

“my favorite hole-in-wall thai ! finally i found a Thai place with a curry sauce that features great veggies + meat, decent portions, and silky smooth. The pangang and green curry were delicious...the green curry was great but the pangang was chef's kiss. We also got the Pad Thai and combo basil fried rice... excellent! As if that wasn't enough...there were chics kicking a** behind the counter. Li, her sister, and a young girl were all very friendly and quite the cooks in the kitchen.
PS at first glance the parking looks terrible but there's more & better parking behind the building.
Great job ladies! I'll be back!“

“I’ve visited Lum Thai a couple of times now, and each visit has been excellent. On my most recent trip, I started with the Chicken Wings, which were delicious but very hot—definitely give them a moment to cool down before enjoying! For my main course, I opted for the Drunken Noodles along with a beer. The noodles had a perfect Thai spice kick. I went with medium heat, and it was intense but flavorful. If you’re not used to spice, I’d recommend going for a milder option.
I’ll absolutely be coming back. The food is always delicious, the service is great, and the restaurant is spotless. Highly recommended!“

“Had read some mixed reviews but we gave it a shot and we were greatly impressed! We called ahead for our party of 10 and they had our reservations ready and accommodated us nicely. The service was excellent and the food was fantastic. Our party ranged from age 14 to 55, some loved Thai and some had never tried it. There was something for everyone to enjoy on the menu. Plus, it was very reasonably priced. We had a large party and it didn't break the bank, as they say. Great food and comradery was had by all! I don't normally write reviews, but again, I was impressed. Definitely recommend!“

“Great experience. The food and friendly atmosphere reminded us of our time in Thailand. We tried several dishes, all of which came out right. Service was attentive, and the the restaurant was tidy, with an overall neighborhood feel. Passing through the area the next day, we decided to stop in again, and left equally satisfied. Seemed to be vouched for by local patrons. We observed out-of-state visitors enjoying the hospitality; commenting positively and engaging with staff between the comings and goings by a steady flow of pick order patrons. The location and ample parking made coming and going a breeze each time. We'll be back.“

“Excellent food and good service. Quite frankly they had the best pepper steak I’ve ever had. The environment is pretty, giving a fancy feel to it, while the prices are very reasonable. The music was at an appropriate volume level to allow conversation without difficulty hearing. I’m definitely going back.“

“Nice atmosphere and quick service. The pad prikh kingh with tofu I had was tasty and the veggie gyoza was good as well, but deep fried and not pan fried. The lunch portion was a bit smallish, but yummy and served with white rice. I will definitely return for another visit!“

“This is the best thai restaurant in NoVA, owned by such a lovely family, who also used to own Happy Thai near Mosaic. We know because we used to go to Happy Thai all the time but since the owner change it wasn’t the same. Through luck we learned that the owner family actually owned this restaurant first! We were ecstatic and indeed, it was the familiar taste that we remember from Happy Thai 2-3 yrs ago!“

“I have eaten here thrice before. with my colleagues. I ordered the basil fried rice with vegetable and chicken. It was bursting with fresh flavors and wonderfully intense spiciness. Everything is so clean, and the staff is friendly and efficient! We were the last ones to leave and never felt rushed or like we were being a nuisance to the staff. I had a third, wonderful experience and i highly recommend it!“

“Amina Thai in Rockville is an excellent spot to relax and enjoy some delicious Thai food. Their extensive menu features a variety of dishes, catering to both meat lovers and vegetarians alike. I tried the chicken Pad Thai, and it was truly exceptional. The sauce was wonderfully tangy, and there was plenty of chicken—definitely a step up from many Asian restaurants that skimp on meat.
We also ordered the veggie noodles, which were decent but didn’t stand out. Overall, the prices are reasonable, making it a great value. The staff were friendly and attentive, enhancing the dining experience. If you’re in the area, Amina Thai is definitely worth a visit!

“One of the best Thai places I’ve been to in a while. The food was amazing and the prices are very reasonable.
For starters, we got the only chicken tom kha and the yum caramelized dried fish salad. Both were out of this world. The tom kha was packed with chicken and vegetables, but the soup itself was good enough to eat on its own. This was the first time we tried a caramelized dried fish salad but it’s probably our favorite now.
For entrees, we got the fish prik glua and crispy duck with basil. Both were wonderful. Each came with a good amount of fish/duck and vegetables. We were too full to get desert but will definitely try next time.“

“Enjoyed lunch with a friend here. We sat outside and while the weather was lovely, the trucks going by on Connecticut Avenue made it hard to hear. Our meals of the lunch special were tasty and spiced just enough to enjoy without mouth burning. I liked my Pad Ginger with Pork served with a green salad with a memorable peanut sauce. My friend liked her Pad Thai with Chicken served with a taro roll.“

“After a friend recommended Buzz Thai Eatery, I’ve eaten from there several times. The staff are always friendly, courteous and extremely patient whenever I have questions about items on the menu. The food portions are generous and the flavors are fantastic! I highly recommend Buzz Thai Eatery, especially their buuz & khuushuur (they’re my favorite so far.) I tried a couple (new to me) items today, sticky rice with mango, California rolls & shrimp tempura maki rolls - they were all delicious. I’m looking forward to trying other items on future trips!“

“This is a Thai Place to try and a place to keep coming back to.
I got the Chicken Satay and it was beyond wonderful. This was juicy chicken and all the flavors could be tasted. My problem with other places is that the chicken is either so dry or the chicken couldn’t be tasted. This was a phenomenal dish made by them and I was super satisfied.
I also got the fried chicken with garlic over rice and the portion was beyond suitable as a male in construction. Super reasonable and great.
I was stuffed and delighted with the meal without falling into a food coma. Highly recommended“

“The food is good, BUT they don't label takeout. Was hard when ordering for 6 to know whose was whose. Does takeout ladna come with noodles in one box, and meat in another box? Which was no spice, which was mild spice?“

“Pasa Thai is more than Passa-ble, as the pork red curry and spicy onion rings were banging. I also always gotta respect any place with as large a tea selection as theirs. They also refilled my water cup a lot, something other places sometimes neglect. I guess my one complaint is that the onion rings could've been spicier.“

“I don't usually write reviews, but this new (at least to me) restaurant deserves one. I ordered the Pomelo salad and tom yum soup for (takeout) dinner, but the salad would have been plenty. It was delicious!!! Big chunks of luscious, juicy sweet pomelo, fat grilled shrimp (more than I expected - 4? 5?), sweet shredded carrots and herby peppers in a tangy, spicy dressing. I never did get to my soup. Oh well, I'll have it for lunch... My husband had the Koong Pad Black Pepper, which is a shrimp stirfry with broccoli, ginger and garlic. It looked wonderful also, and he raved about it, but I wasn't tempted.Mine was too good.“
