“When I forget to bring lunch to work, District Taco is usually the first place that pops into mind. I always get their bowl with black beans with the cabbage topping. What really makes their bowl special is that I can add potatoes! It is a little addition that makes the meal really hardy and keeps me full until dinner. Like many places, you order on a screen, and they will call out when your food is ready.“

“The new patio lighting is really bad. Too bright and kind of yellow like hospital lighting. Much better before when they had nice warm string lights.
But the food is excellent and the margaritas are the best we found ! Don't let the lighting turn you off, it's an awesome place to have drinks and tacos!“

“So the waitress didn't speak any English, but we worked through it. The menu is nice, simple, authentic food. Very flavorful.
Service was kind of slow considering we were a party of 2 with no one else in the restaurant at 11:30a...didn't get our (2) tacos and (1) burrito for over 30 minutes, but worth the wait.“

“After traveling across the whole city (I was visiting for Project Glow), I was exhausted. This restaurant was a life saver. The food was delicious, the service was friendly and fast, and the atmosphere was perfect. I would certainly come back, and it's definitely worth a visit if you're in Adams Morgan.“

“An Absolutely Delightful Experience! ??I've been driving past the 3 Hermanos food truck several times, always tempted by the tantalizing aromas but never stopping. Yesterday, I finally gave in to the craving and boy, am I glad I did!I ordered a shrimp taco bowl and a beef burrito, and the lovely lady in the truck was incredibly pleasant. She took my order with a smile and said it would be ready in 15 minutes. When I received my food, it looked absolutely mouth-watering, and the taste did not disappoint!Both the burrito and the shrimp taco bowl were incredibly well-balanced and full of flavor. The shrimp was cooked to perfection, and the seasoning on the beef was simply divine. We really had an awesome experience, and we'll definitely be visiting 3 Hermanos more frequently now.One thing to note about the burrito – the white sauce was delicious, but be careful .... Overall, I highly recommend 3 Hermanos for an authentic and delicious Mexican food experience. The friendly service and incredible flavors make it a must-try for anyone in the area!

“This is absolutely one of my favorite places to go! The Roost was my go to during the pandemic with tons of outdoor seating. Since it was in my neighborhood we frequented a lot. The staff watched my little one practically grow up there! It became our meeting place and neighborhood watering hole. Quick and efficient and some of the best food and customer service! We’ve moved from the area but always stop by when in town because it feels like home!“

“When I started my stumbling Spanish, the lady called her coworker to the window who spoke perfect English. I ordered two tasty tacos double wrapped in soft tortillas for just $7. The portions were generous, and the beef well seasoned. There's a table in a divider strip between the parking lot and the street, so the ambiance is basic taco truck.“

“Great joint. Food is innovative and subtle, drawing flavor from unexpected places (as opposed to piling on the salt), and the menu has great variety, in terms of proteins, flavors, and array of dishes.
Add a fun, curated wine list, and exceptional service, all at abundantly reasonable prices, and this is one of the best pure meals you’ll get in the area.
L&C is still growing into the space, and it isn’t helped by some shabby, dated surroundings—but so much care has gone into this place, I’m really hopeful they’ll hang on and help revitalize that whole neck of the woods…“

“Best experience ever, thank you! My soon to be 5 year old daughter wanted to go to Bar Taco for her birthday dinner this past Saturday evening. Not surprisingly as it was prime time on a Saturday they had a decent wait but she was determined. The hostess was kind and made sure to keep us updated on where we were on the list while continuously checking how close the tables were to clearing out while also letting my 2 girls pick out full size coloring books. Once we got a table the hostess danced with my daughters to the table. As soon as we sat down the manager came by and said “I heard we have a birthday being celebrated here?” In such a way that really made her feel like a princess. He then brought both my daughters free Shirley Temples and apologized for the wait. After we finished eating the same manager brought both girls free ice cream and comped our dessert we ordered. To top it all off they stopped the girls on the way out and gave them Bar Taco sunglasses, stickers, and a bandana. Thank you making an amazing birthday celebration for my daughter and making this solo dad look cool and like he actually knows what he is doing when it comes to celebrating his girls. I doubt she will ever want to go anywhere else for her birthday dinner.“

“After moving from Florida I have been tirelessly searching for a good taco place in Maryland. I was so happy to find Tacos A La Madre! When you go inside it is very under decorated, but clean and they have a good sense of branding with their black and yellow color scheme. The tacos are amazing, flavorful, and consistent every time I go. The ingredients taste fresh. If I had to choose a favorite, it would be the shrimp tacos and the birria tacos! 🌮 This is our new go-to taco place. You have to go- you won’t be disappointed.“

“Everything was really good, we got wings and red snapper (I ordered catfish but didn’t understand me) the wings were fresh and crispy, I got lemon pepper wet and the fried rice was great. There’s a bit of a language barrier, they mostly speak Spanish, but other than that 10/10“

“It’s a whole vibe at MaryLou’s! I ended up here because I great friend of the family picked this place for dinner to catch up. The staff was really nice. The food I had was really good. I ordered the lamb chops with a salad. Delicious in my book 👏🏿👏🏿 I was also able to try some of their greens which were good as well. The DJ kept things interesting with a Trivia Game for shots of Don Julio. I would definitely recommend and I will definitely be returning“

“This is where we need to go! Small business owners who make genuine food from the heart. I had the opportunity to meet the wonderful owner Ruby. She was a gem. And she has a gem that she serves to the community. I appreciated that she gave me a moment to speak while it was slow to share the history of where she came and where her and her team are going. This is a fairly new business, has not been open for more than a year. To everyone in the community far and wide. Whether you're black, Latino, native, blue, orange, or however you identify, it doesn't matter! Come and enjoy this soulful food. She was so welcoming and the warm welcome and how she explained the dishes to me, delivered an experience that I will never forget. I wish her and her team much success ??.Now, into the food -Pupusas (chicken and cheese) -10/10Coleslaw- 9/10 (It's new for me. But I like it. Need to try more.Plantains - 8/10 (Everyone likes plantains different. So I'm sure they'd be a 10/10 if I'd communicated that I like them fried hard.Yuka w/meat and coleslaw- 10/10! Wow! I have never had this dish before but the flavors. The seasoning to perfection.Overall - Maria's is more than pupusas. There's some history, there are always stories, and there is plethora of food. On the weekends, this spot is said to have over 400-600 patrons that come out to enjoy the food, the atmosphere and the service. This business also does catering.(I was not paid for this review. “This place is soooo good! The first time I went I went back the next day! The nachos are AMAZING I’m pretty sure they cooked them fresh because I’ve never had tortilla chips that fresh and delicious. The empanadas were perfectly crispy and delicious. I’m leaving this review because I’m trying to decide what to order next. The only thing I would change is training for the young man at the cash register. He is a kid so I don’t expect him to get it 100% correct but I think some training on customer service (greeting customers, speaking loudly, substitution of items) would help. I highly recommend this place!“
