“The softshell crabs for so great“

“I have been a patron at McGarvey's for years. I love your food and service. However, first time I have a complaint. I was anxious to try the crab balls, as pictured in your menu. Although they weren't horrible, they looked nothing like the picture on your menu, very disappointed. I expected pieces of white crab meat and we got very crusted, fried little round balls. I bragged to my grandson about the picture on your menu and it was certainly not what we got. I must say, it is the first thing I have been disappointed with. Either change the picture or take them off your menu.“

“This restaurant is excellent and underutilized. I felt as if I had the restaurant to myself, and the cook was my personal chef. I had a very large fillet of salmon with asparagus, and it was perfect! The beers were $5, so a little expensive, but I didn't mind because the food was delicious.“

While not a very traditional sushi place, it still has great food and a nice ambience. Outdoor seating was great at the time and our waitress Ms. Becca was wonderful.

Miso soup was pleasant and filling. The edamame was, well, edamame, but nonetheless a good opener. Avocado salad was a little dry and uninspiring, but the flavor was decent, especially in tandem with the pine nuts.

The star of the appetizers, however, was definitely the yomato's tofu, which is always my friends and families' go-to. It's a little sweet, very crispy on the outside, with the savory taste of bonito flakes and soy wrapping the dish together; it's very filling and shareable as well, and definitely my biggest suggestion.

We tried the Kamikaze, Metropolitan, and Miami rolls. Of them, the Kamikaze was just fine; however, we enjoyed the Miami rolls and the Metropolitan was our favorite.“

“What a wonderful experience. I arrived at this restaurant for their happy hour on Saturday. It was busy but we were able to sit at a table in the bar area. The service was first rate, the food was terrific and very generous especially since it was happy hour. I will be back with both friends and family.“

“We sat out front and the service and food was great. We loved the seared tuna nachos (each bite was perfect), the crab cake platter - fresh delicious crab with minimal filler, the fish and chips, and the crab penne vodka pasta with fresh crab on top. Fries were great and chicken chipotle sandwich was good too, as were the drinks!“

To be fair: It's the exact table that I want, and she's a 70+year old cancer patient, so I let her go.
I'm so sorry, host boy. 👃🏻 I know you're doing the best you can.
I mess with the host boy and tell him we're a party of 8. He doesn't bat an eye and is about to figure out how to make a party of 8 happen when I tell him I'm kidding and apologize.
We get seated at *my Mom's desired table,* and I look around, and realize our poor server has been *at least* triple sat. I tell my Mom it's gonna be a minute before we get our iced teas, but the support kid filled our waters; and not gonna lie, kiddo is not only on top of things, but also above-average eye candy.
Don't tell my Mom I said that.
We get our soups - Oyster Stew - rich and river-y (if you know, you know). Five oysters in each crock, and our server even found us *the right* crackers. Seriously - Give Frisco a raise.
Our turkey dinners were fantastic and the sides were even better.
We took our dessert to go.
This was the best Thanksgiving I've had with my mom in a long time. Thank you for making that possible.“
