Maybe it's because I've been to many mom and pop spots in Queens NY with just as delicious food for half the price nevertheless its a great spot. Highlights include the soup, dumplings, and any of the hand pulled noodle dishes.“

The Lamb Masala had incredible flavor and Mahee had a wonderful crust. We had a hard time deciding on the best dessert. “Bantam King is my go-to spot for a great meal when in downtown DC. I lived right by here for 2 years, and every time I went to Bantam King, I had a fantastic meal.I've eaten a ton of fried chicken in my life all over the US, and a decent amount across DC. I can absolutely say that their fried chicken platter is some of the best fried chicken I've ever eaten. I've also had the chicken ramen. Both my wife, who is a huge ramen lover, and I think it's fantastic.I also enjoy the mint sweet tea, and the desserts are really good as well. The atmosphere is super fun as well, great for any small group or couples.You probably won't be able to get in with a massive group (it's a small space)...but that's not what this place is really for.I've eaten here on my birthday the past 2 years, and I see that continuing in the future.“

“Awesome restaurant with a great selection of food. Atmosphere is nice as well. The food is amazing from the soups to pastries. Everything is mad from scratch I finally got to try a turkey club sandwich being that it's all turkey products. I also order the grilled salmon greens and yams. I tired the beans soup was phenomenal. My take home order was curry chicken salad 1/2lb, side of yams, mac n cheese. The sweetpotatie pie, bean pie & strawberry cheese cake was the desert taken home. This is a must try establishment very class service is amazing and heartfelt you can tell the food is cooked with love!!!! I'll be back“

“We came to Mejana for my mother's birthday. The service was ok, server was young and there may have been a language barrier. Because we were a large party we were told our only option on the menu was the Lebanese Journey which turned out to be basically a large sampler of many menu items from apps, meats and 1 dessert. I was able to explain that in one sentence but while we were at the restaurant that simple explanation was not given. We had about 20 people in our party and were all very confused. The menu doesn't really give an explanation, the waiter wasn't stating it in a way we could understand and finally the manager came and broke it down for us lol. The food ended up being delicious and the drinks were nice also. I really liked the hibiscus martini and my mom loved her mocktail (which they mad a good selection of). My suggestion would be to add an explanation for what the levonese journey is on the menu and also detail that the "mixed grill" is a variety of grilled meats. I assumed it was grilled vegetables since there was no detail on meat and the chicken shwarma was derailed separately. With all the confusion it took us a very long time to order, we had several children with us who got antsy with the wait for the food once it finally was ordered. Aside from the confusion the establishment had very nice decor and we enjoyed our time celebrating my mom. Be aware that the desert that comes w the Journey is a baklava that's the size of a quarter and what looked like a tablespoon of custard, incredibly tiny portions lol so be prepared ? but still delicious. The staff were very patient w our confusion and tried their best to explain.“

The ice machine was broken, but the owner or manager mentioned going next door to accommodate us. Needless to say, we'll be back to try other selections.“
