I had tray of jollof perfectly spiced, puff puff, stew chicken and roasted croaker. I also regularly get their shawarma and jollof spaghetti and it is delish! They also have milky chin-chin which is also very good“

“This was a good experience from start to finish. I'm so glad that my first exposure to Ghanaian food was with Chef Eric Adjepong. As always my first time somewhere, I order a lot. I arrived some short time after Chef Eric introduced a prix fixe menu with standout choices. Not on my radar, but highly recommended by my server and the table leaving as I was seated, was the Zaalouk Dip featuring eggplant and goat cheese served with flatbread. Somehow the cheese brightened this dish. I'm a huge fan of okra in all forms, so I added the Crispy Okra Fries. I thoroughly enjoyed this dish. I would love it if Chef Eric added a spicy dip in addition to the creamy dip that it came with. Also not on my radar, Roasted Carrots. This was the most earthy, enjoyable, balanced dish I've ever eaten with carrots! The cheese(s), as in the dip dish, are transformational. I truly could have stopped here and been completely satisfied. The book I can write about my first experience with Fufu. I could have eaten the Fufu swirling it around in the broth by itself and been happy. Instead, I had the most perfectly cooked seared fish with it. I was then served a Jollof and Duck Pot. The presentation of this dish is so pristine, you really won't want to disturb it. However, I had to taste this Jollof. My first Jollof dish was merely days before, prepared with a Nigerian recipe. I didn't understand what all the hype was about. Chef Eric's Jollof answered my confusion. I'm pleased to say in the battle of two local Top Chefs (Nigeria vs. Ghana), Elmina and Ghana wins! The duck was succulent and another surprise, the tiny salad was a star! The night ended with an espresso and Malva Pudding Cake, the perfect ending to a thrilling meal.“

“I went during the late afternoon. Parking was ok. I was able to find street parking. I walked in as a first time customer and was greeting with a warm welcome. The staff talked to me about the different areas of the restaurant and upcoming events. I was waited on almost immediately. My drink came first; which was really good and priced well. I ordered wings and salad. Everything came out hot and tasted really good. The vibes during this time I day was chill with good music. I was told they have DJs later on in the evening. “The food was really good and the waiter was very attentive. I forgot the name of the appetizer but it was a shrimp, avocado combo that was served with bread. DELICIOUS. We also had yam chips served with a mayonnaise based sauce. They were seasoned differently than what I am used to (which is just salt) but it tasted amazing! The main meal was snapper with jollof rice and fried plantain. 10s across the board would highly recommend.“

“Took my hubbyfor the first time. A BOB that didn't disappoint. I had oxtail (stew) delicious. Hub had the talipia entree he loved it. I'm not a fan of fish and milk or coconut combo but his palate enjoyed it. We were so full we passed on the mango pie lol. “We very much enjoyed Rainbow African Restaurant -West African Cuisine. This place has a dine-in section, but it also does brisk carry-out business.

The decor and atmosphere are very charming and beautiful. I appreciate that there was a quieter place to enjoy our food a bit farther from the TV in the lobby.

I also appreciated the recommendations from the lady taking our order- she was very friendly and helpful. We particularly loved the Bofrot, Peanut Butter Soup, Fufu, Fried Plantains, and Jollof Rice.

The Suya Beef Kabob was quite tasty, but just a little too spicy for my palate (my husband thought it was perfect).

The prices were commensurate with the quality of food.

“The food is absolutely delicious! 🤤😋 Everything was grilled to perfection and packed with flavor. The portion sizes are pretty generous too, so the pricing is somewhat reasonable for the amount of food you get.

My only complaint is that I wish there were more variety in what’s included with the meals. The “bowl,” for example, is literally your choice of meat with shredded onions—no rice or other side—which I found a little misleading.

I ordered the chicken wings and suya combo for $38, and it came with exactly that: chicken wings, beef suya, and shredded onions. The amount of meat was definitely generous, but quite a few pieces of the beef suya were fatty. So I’m still going back and forth on whether I feel like $38 was worth it. 😂

That being said, the flavor was REALLY good, and I enjoyed the food overall. There’s limited street parking, but I didn’t have much trouble finding a spot.

I would definitely go back and would recommend giving them a try—just know that when they say meat and onions, they mean meat and onions. 😂“

“It's Kenyan style food so the curry among other dishes will not be what you are used to. However, I did enjoy the added spices that the African style brings. I recommend everyone giving this restaurant a try. They have pool tables too. Tell Lindsey I sent you. Bon Appetit“

I ordered from Beyond Suya at their kiosk, and I was genuinely impressed. The staff was so nice, patient, and super communicative throughout the entire process. Even though it wasn’t a dine-in experience, they made sure everything went smoothly and made me feel like a valued customer.

The food was absolutely delicious – full of flavor and clearly made with care. What really stood out, aside from the amazing service, is that they’re open late! “This place is absolutely amazing! The food is incredibly delicious. I visited for the first time today and was welcomed with warm, friendly service. Everyone was in great spirits, and the atmosphere felt really positive.

When I mentioned it was my first time, they kindly offered me a sample of curry chicken, brown stew, and oxtail over rice. Each one was full of flavor — so good that I had a hard time choosing!

I ended up ordering the brown stew chicken with rice, cabbage, and a side of plantains. Everything was cooked to perfection. The chicken was juicy, tender, and full of flavor. The plantains were fresh off the stove — perfectly sweet and soft.
