“I was out running errands and instead of going for fast food or other popular restaurants, I went to this bar because they had corned beef and cabbage on St Patrick's day which was awesome so I tried their spaghetti and meat sauce. It took a while to get waited on, food was was good. The sides they listed on menu board were extra cost and do not come with your meal which I thought was odd. They didn't have any parmesan cheese for my meal which I missed having. They have plenty of tv's to watch the O's. Pool tables,shuffleboard, several beers on tap. I will go back because I try to support local bussinesses. I think I caught them on an off day thus the reason I gave 4 stars.“

“We come to eat at the Rosedale location maybe once a month. Even on long waits when we are extra hungry, we always request Draven because he is a rockstar! Our drinks are never empty and requests such as extra napkins, gloves, bibs etc are always met expeditiously. We never have to wait long for food and it is always fresh and hot. Our family are creatures of habit and we typically get the same thing every time. Let’s start with the clam chowder. A generous bowl with a heaping portion of clam. We especially enjoy the crackers on the side for our picky toddler to nibble on. For dinner I always get the Cajun boil with the hook n reel blend *spicy* with sausage and hard boiled eggs as an add on. I like to get a 20 oz. draft ipa. It pairs very well with the spiciness of the boil. Our toddler usually ends up with tenders and sweet potato waffle fries. Recently she has started to eat broccoli (hallelujah!) so we get that on the side as well. For a family of 3, we spend around $130. If you request Draven, please expect to be amazed by the service and expect to tip at LEAST 20% for impeccable service. For those bad at math, 20% of $130 is $26, which I like to bump up to $30. Sorry this was so long! If you got this far, enjoy your dinner at Hook n Reel in Rosedale. We always do!“

Recommend getting there early just because wait times are crazy. Service was awesome I was there 5/21 and sitting on the first floor outside the server was amazing but sadly I can’t remember the young girls name she was tall and skinny. “We always have an amazing experience at Libs. My son has a very hard time with eating and they NEVER let him leave hungry. Even when I insist “it’s fine” they refuse to settle for anything less than perfect! I was initially nervous to bring him there because of what an upscale place it is, but they prove that upscale doesn’t have to lose that family aspect. Now, I don’t know if I’ve just been fortunate to be around really well behaved kids when I go there, or if their behavior is reflective of the amazing service provided, as staff always treats my kids with respect, speaking to them like they belong there. Tonight my son left with a full belly and a big smile because Mr. Derek “was so nice!” for making him feel seen as a valued customer and not a needy kid with a medical issue. And even when I go without kids, Libs delivers for the perfect date night vibe. I love a restaurant that can do both! The food is spectacular, the ambiance on point and the service especially top of the line. I will sing their praises to anyone that will listen!“

“We had our wedding here. Island View Waterfront Cafe was everything we envisioned for our wedding!! It had that backyard wedding feel with GORGEOUS waterfront views! Jess was absolutely amazing to work with and her love for weddings and desire for you to have your dream day is evident after working with her. She is a great communicator and was a huge help during the different planning stages of our wedding. During our rehearsal and on the day of I came to her with all the questions and she had already had the answers and plans for those worked out and she is a HUGE reason why our day went so smoothly! We love and Cherish being an Island View Couple!! Some cool perks: flexibility to pick our own vendors; chairs and tables were included in the rental; we rented out the the evening before for our rehearsal and hosted an informal pizza party as we were setting up and organizing all the decor which made everything so much easier; you get to work with Jess and I can't say enough good things about her!!“

“Chris's was great they are open until 10pm.
The crabs were a great size and very meaty! One thing though and it's not necessarily a bad thing either......if you're a true crab eater you know exactly what I mean. These crabs were good the first day but they were AMAZING the next day! So if you are ever having family over for crabs get them from here the day before and then heat them up(steam on the stove) for when the family comes next day they were so so good! Chris's uses great seasoning that gave the crabs great flavor that really comes through on day 2 😋. The woman who runs the front is also just a gem! Super cool lady!!“

“You can't beat a dozen of large male crabs for $90. The crabs are always good, fresh, and hot. The corn is locally grown and sweet, which is great! The wings are decent, and i love the hush puppies. I wish they'd put a few heaters outside so people could sit out there. I'm not sure if they do that as I've never been when it's cold. It's just small and tight in there. Opening that patio would help even in the winter. Would recommend! And they are BYOB! Beers and Wine. Not too sure about hard alcohol.“

“Thursday evening was my first time there. We made a reservation and were seated right away. We were there for steamed crabs. Our server immediately put our order in and brought our drinks. Our crabs came out pretty quickly. I can’t say enough about the two ladies that were serving us. They were very attentive but not to the extreme. Both were very friendly. Our crabs were excellent! Not one light crab. We will definitely go back again. If you’re looking for great food, excellent service and a very friendly atmosphere, Bird River Inn is your place to go. Their food prices are very reasonable and the portions are huge!“

Everyone I dealt with from the moment I reached out to inquire about hosting an event there up until the end of the event last night were fantastic. I ordered food from the catering menu and everyone in attendance commented on how great the food was. Our bartender and server were great as well and I was checked on several times to make sure that everything was going well.
