“I’ve worked in restaurants my whole life, making and serving food (including burgers and fries). I just stopped by Joia last night, for the first time. I ordered a double patty. I have to say that it might have been the best burger I’ve ever tried. Nothing too fancy, just the perfect size and balance of ingredients. I didn’t intend to get any fries, but after ordering my burger, I asked the employee who was serving me if I could try one. It was so good, that I instantly asked to order some, only to find out that they had gone ahead and generously thrown in a batch on the house for me. I literally have never written a review in my life (google, yelp, otherwise) but I was so into it I thought I should share. Super friendly, low key atmosphere, fast, and delicious. “Our favorite place ! We live closer to a different location but the Olney one has our hearts. Our 4 & 2 year old love the food just as much as the adults. We recently had them cater a party for us and we will definitely be doing that again in the future“

“About a mile from the convention center walking, didn’t realize it was inside the WF. There’s seating available going up a few stairs after ordering/picking up. Ordered a cheeseburger and sweet potato fries - they were good but I may have over done it today. I got crazy and got BBQ sauce, tasty with a tad of spice. I enjoyed my meal and service was friendly. I’d maybe come back but not a fan of it being inside of WF.“

I’ve tried the Oreo funnel cake one and also the final chocolate one. I’ve tried the smoky classic BBQ burger and the smoke shack. Both were great. “Visiting DC from the UK. We all really liked the burger, agree with other comments it is a greasy affair but then again nobody’s coming here to prepare for a bikini competition. I respect the menu concept, do one thing, do it well. No options. I guess if you don’t want coke or water you don’t need to buy one. Servers were excellent and price wise, you aren’t getting much better for this area. My only issue was the space, it’s quite stark and basic. I think you can go ultra basic on the menu, but such a basic setting might be a step too far and it doesn’t need to be, because they have a great crew that could hold down a more personal atmosphere.“

Had the crab dip appetizer, and they gave us so little bread to dip into it, we all ended up eating the dip as a soup of sorts with our forks so that we didn't waste it, even though it was tremendously SALTY. Like salt was almost the predominant flavor. I had the steak frites, and the supplied knife wasn't quite up to the task of cutting the meat, but it was very tasty along with a very garlicky herb butter. Wife got the chopped steak, and it was a lovely dish, piled high with all sorts of lovely gravy and mushrooms and too much to eat, but very . . . wait for it . . . SALTY. Daughter had the chicken pot pie. Loaded with chicken. Decent meal. Our server was tremendous and polite and one of the highlights of the evening. Kitchen staff may want to taste-test some things before sending them out the door. They might be surprised. We've been on vacation all week and eating out every night, and this was the saltiest meal of the week. We felt like we were still retaining water the next morning.“

“Honestly, I needed a crown for a costume so I went in here and took one. Then I left. Operation took maybe 8 seconds inside the restaurant. Happy to say it worked and that I was not told I couldn’t have a crown. I’ll be back one day Burger King, and I’ll have to give your store justice with another full review, but for now, it’s just the crown, which is it’s great cardboard quality that I’ve been used to since being a little boy.“

“My experience was phenomenal. I ordered General Tao’s Chicken. To be blunt fully honest I haven’t tasted General Tao’s Chicken that good in almost ten years. Other Chinese places are cutting back on the sauce to cut cost but they didn’t do that. I had ordered extra sauce just in case only to realize I didn’t really need it since they put adequate sauce on the chicken. I would definitely recommend.“
