“Adorable and quirky cafe that is 100% worth all the hype, the long waits, and the hard-to-snag reservations. I visited Golden West Cafe on a Sunday afternoon with a moderately large group (7 people). We were originally hoping for a brunch reservation but could only snag a 3 PM slot -- a testament to how incredibly popular they are -- although we ended up being ready at 2 PM and called ahead to ask if they could seat us earlier. They, very graciously, were able to make space for us to come a tad earlier.

The food was absolutely incredible -- it was some combination of American comfort and Mexican / Latin American, with classic Mexican items like huevos ranchos, fish tacos, and enchiladas right next to traditional American brunch selections like chicken and waffles, hot cakes, and so forth. Their menu is also remarkably vegetarian / vegan-friendly, and it features their own house-made vegan chicken!

We decided to split a few items, including the zucchini brie hot cakes, fish tacos, and vegan hot honey chicken and waffles. All three were outstanding, but my favorite had to be the zucchini brie hot cakes. The cakes were remarkably soft and fluffy, and I loved the bit of sweetness from the zucchini (and maple syrup, of course), and the extra hit of rich creaminess and savoriness from the brie. It was the perfect sweet and savory combo, and it was easily one of the biggest surprises of the meal.

The rest of the items were also delicious, although not quite as wowing.The fish tacos were well-fried and flavorful, and I was quite impressed by how crispy and thin their accompanying fries were. I really enjoyed the flavor of the hot honey vegan chicken and waffles, but I was, admittedly, a little bit thrown off by the texture of both. It's very possible that the waffle had just gotten a bit soggy because I ate this dish last and it wasn't quite at its peak freshness. Either way, I really enjoyed my time here, and it's 100% worth I try. I can't wait to make my way back to Hampden to sample the rest of their menu!“

“Randomly driving through Timonium on our way back to PA we were looking for food. Fuentes showed with good reviews and we stopped. Now once a month (sometimes more) we drive an hour back to Timonium for amazing food. We’ve even brought family down here. The italian food is plentiful and tasty but the fish and shrimp tacos are our favorite. A lovely couple owns the place and they cook all the food and they’ve always been kind to us. We hope to come here for many more years.“

“Common ground is a great place that is employee-owned and I like to support. Their jalapeno cheddar biscuit is a Divine thing.

The only reason I don't give it five stars for service in atmosphere is because it is so popular sometimes even something simple will take 10 minutes. That's really just a testament how much people love the place“

“This place was amazing we went 2 days in a row!!!
We were visiting Baltimore for an event and we're exploring some restaurants. For breakfast we chose Miss Shirleys and I can confidently say this is the best food I've had in a while, especially in breakfast category.
We had their chicken breast tenders and sweet waffles, fried green tomatoes, deviled eggs, brisket, and eggs with sausage. Food was amazing !!!!! I highly recommend to anyone wanting to enjoy delicious food and great atmosphere!!!“

“A well designed small space with an equally good ambient. Customer can have a very good view of the Hall with well maintained preparatory baking area and well displayed items. Some of the bakery items are unique with visual appeal amd taste. I have attached one photo of the item which I ordered. Even the sitting bench slopes towards the middle which is very convenient to sit and get up. Courier pickup segment seems to be well organised. Not a noisy environment. We discovered post game when it was time to start cooking for the team that we left our cooler of eggs and milk on the 7th floor of the Marriott parking garage. Not for the faint of heart (me) unless you want to be sent into a food coma (which I was) and sleep through your afternoon class (worth it). Don't even get me started on the sandwiches at lunch. I get an egg salad sandwich (hummus if they're out of egg salad) on toasted rye with all the fixings -- and I mean ALL of them. You can get a mile-high stacker that's caving in on itself for a single meal swipe here. What do you get at Chick-fil-a? A single piece of chicken on soggy bread. The service here at the Coffee Shop is amazing, too. Workers are super nice and fun to chat with. If you've just finished working out at the RAC, swing in here to cancel out all those calories you burned because you earned it, champ.

“My husband and I had a late breakfast at the Timonium location on December 27, 2024. Upon arrival, at almost 11:30 AM, the hostess named Samantha, was seating another group of people. We watched Samantha clean tables, set place settings, before returning and seating us. We soon took note that this very pleasant hostess/greeter was taking on several jobs: we watched her methodically bus tables, return to awaiting guests in line and proceed to repeat the same process...while also being the cashier for departing guests who were paying their bill. As more and more people arrived, we watched Samantha's professionalism never waiver. Our waitress named Kelly was also pleasant. She quickly took our order and soon returned with drinks. Not long later, another kitchen helper returned with our plates of food. I commented on how well everyone was working and gave a special appreciation to Samantha. We observed Samantha rearrange tables to accommodate groups of people while maintaining her warm smile that revealed her love for her job and customers! The food was delicious, and the service was above standard. Employees at this location really work well together but Kudos to Ms. Samantha who worked above and beyond expectations!!!“

“Atwater's is my favorite place for many reasons. Comfortable community atmosphere, enjoyable food and drink, and great staff. In 6 years I've seen Atwater's with a great track record for hiring and training members of its team. But I'd like to credit two in particular today. Joey, the new manager settled into his role quickly just this year and is very engaging, friendly, and happy to help customers directly alongside his team. “my husband and I went there on May 24th and you had to go to the register and place your own order and pay prior to receiving your food. needless to say we did not leave a tip at that point. we both ordered the cream chipped beef with toast and my husband also ordered the sausage gravy with biscuits. not sure what kind of herbs they put in the cream chip beef but it was not very good at all plus they also added so much pepper it was almost inedible we ate what we could and left promptly afterwards needless to say we will probably not be going back for a while maybe they can get things right but that was the worst breakfast I have had in such a long time and I was very disappointed I almost think that they did it that way because we did not leave a tip.“
