“General Tso’s shrimp is my go-to and it has jumbo shrimp. Shrimp egg foo young with SFR is good. Wonton soup is good. Not crazy about the sweet-n-sour. Order ahead because it’s just two people and it takes 40-mins. Surprised at all the complaints. The owner is polite to me and the food tastes good as Pimlico or Lexington Market. Find a dish that works and stick with that.“

“WOW! This is the best deal in town for authentic Asian cuisine. Our party of 13 was welcomed warmly, served promptly, sampled dishes from every genre offered and declared all uniformly delicious. In addition, portions are super generous and the price can't be beat. This goes in our monthly rotation!“

“We specially drove an hour from DC to come here. We ordered a cold appetizer, sesame liangpi, saozi noodles, and water-basin lamb soup. These are all very authentic Xi’an specialties. Everything was delicious, and it was absolutely worth the drive!“

“The noodle soup was so flavorful and was perfect! I had the signature dish Lanzhou Beef Noodle Soup with thin noodles. The noodles are hand pulled and made fresh every day and you can tell by the excellent texture and flavor! My new favorite restaurant! Also we were honored by four songs excellently played on the baby grand piano. Thank you for a delightful dinner, perfect service, and inviting atmosphere. “It's been about 3 months since I first went to Beyond Ramen & Kabob, and I can't stop thinking about it. It's a small restaurant with several booths and some open tables, but it's filled with personality. The food was incredible - every single entree, every appetizer, every drink we tried was perfect. Hot, fresh, and made to order for the kabobs. The staff was super helpful and thoughtful, and I noticed them keeping an eye on all the customers from afar to make sure glasses were filled, food was served quickly, and everyone was happy. It made me feel like an honored guest. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options here, including a vegan ramen and many different vegan kabobs. They were very quick to accommodate our dietary restrictions and very thoughtful and cautious when it came to checking ingredients - very much appreciated. Will be back soon, and hopefully many more times.“

“We visited this evening. Food was fantastic! I really enjoyed the soup dumplings! The staff was super courteous. I had brought in dessert (a cake) from outside and they were super nice about it. They even offered to refrigerate it for us! After dinner, they brought us fresh plates, forks and a knife. Despite being very busy they also don't rush you too much.“

The pizza was a little overdone, but I actually like my pizza that way, so no complaints there. The bowl was good too, though I felt like it was missing a little something. One of the best Manhattans I've had. The Miso soup was also one of the best I've ever had. Not sure what they do to it, but the broth was so good and plenty of seaweed and tofu. The fried rice was crazy good too. The sushi was also excellent. It's raw seafood so I can't rave about that except it tasted fresh and I was very happy with it. The service was absolutely outstanding and it was easy to see everyone sitting around us were very happy too. The owner walked the restaurant several times and you could tell most of the people there were repeat customers. That speaks volumes. Hidden gem! Food is always hot and fresh, and the staff is prompt and friendly. I've only ever dined in, so I can't comment on carryout. I usually get the beef & broccoli lunch plate. Shrimp toast is delicious; you can tell it's made fresh because it's not gross and soggy like other places that freeze it. In cold weather there's no better meal than their house special wonton soup. Just a great place. Modestly decorated; very clean.“
