“Great food and an amazing staff“

“Immediately got in at the bar on a Friday night before a show in town. Greeted by the blonde bartender who appears yo have been born with a smile on his face. Ordered The Butcher and it was the most delicious drink I've had in a long time. Dinner was the monk fish special and the schnitzel. Hands down the best (and most generous) meals we have had since moving to Maine 6 years ago.“

“Timber Kitchen & Bar is easily one of the best spots in Bangor. The atmosphere is warm and stylish, perfect for a night out or a casual meal. The staff is always friendly, attentive, and quick without making you feel rushed. The food is so good, everything tastes fresh and thoughtfully made. Their cocktails are delicious, and the menu has something for everyone. I’ve never had a bad dish here. “Great cozy restaurant which was a nice change of pace while we were visiting Maine from NY. Great service. Place was busy but the staff wasnt overwhelmed. Fast service as well and the food was delicious and at a very fair price. Too bad we really aren't up this north often. But we will make Chase's a priority re-visit next time we are in town!“

“A fun little spot by the river! We were starving after a full day of flights to get to Maine and craved a good burger. The menu was full of unique flavor combinations—it was so hard to choose! We got the Waterfront burger and the one with Canadian bacon and maple syrup on it (can’t remember the name). Both were great and the fries were excellent. The desserts and chicken sandwich looked delicious. We will hopefully be back on our next trip to Maine and will tell all our friends to stop by!“

“This place was really awesome. I really like the service a lot. The food was excellent very well worth it. The one thing I didn't like was the fact that the only person that was serving like 20 plus seats was only one person there wasn't anyone else to help her out. People were getting frustrated but at the end of the day she was the only one that was doing everything quickly fastly and kindly to everyone some people left. But she put in so much effort as the server and she could only get to so many tables and yet some people were just rude.“

“This is a cafe run by students in the culinary arts program at EMCC. It is strictly by advance reservation. But, at the beginning of the semester, sign up for the list. The food takes on a different theme each month and as food goes, this is FABULOUS!!“

“Very decent digs. Comfortable and clean, that’s the most important things. Outdated, but I get that. However, the prices at the bar are way way overpriced. And in the morning, $5 for coffee from a cranky guy. Ugh. But, front desk people were great.“

“Nellani D was an amazing waitress. I hold every server to my mother's standard. Because she was a waitress for 20 years.
Nellani met that standard, if not exceeded it.
I had a bunch of appetizers for dinner, and they all came out great. And in a timely manner and the price was pretty good.

“My sister and I had an excellent steak dinner on Sunday August 14th - the steaks were perfect! But the most amazing thing was the personalized service from Brian, the manager - let me explain - After dinner we started the arduous"trek" down Rt. 9 back home to Eastport. It wasn't until Monday morning that I realized I had left my wallet there. To make a long story short, Brian went beyond "the call of duty" and sent my wallet back via Fed. Ex. on his day off ! Thank you Brian for helping an old lady assuage her worries - you' re a doll!“

“This place is really a hidden gem, I have been in the food industry 18 years and I am kinda fussy when it comes to food. Well I am here to tell you the fried fish here has to be the best around. Not to mention the pizza is fantastic and a favorite of mine the poutine. Another popular item by the locals is “Lisa’s famous fried clams” those are also vary tasty. The staff is always friendly and the bar is always stocked. I definitely highly recommend.“

“At Uno's in Bangor, ME yesterday (04/15/25)....My husband doesn't like the chunky sauce and likes the sauce on the bottom....my exact order was marina sauce (not chunky) and sauce on the bottom, no sauce on the top like a regular pizza ....my order WAS repeated back to me correctly. Great, see you in 25 minutes. How'd they do?? Sauce all over the top....it was marina but I specifically asked for the sauce to be on the bottom. Even the tag in the pizza box was correct. When I called them to complain as this is the SECOND time this has happened (first time we didn't call) the manager (who also made this pizza) made all kinds of excuses, this is how we do it, we don't make them with no sauce on the top, try calling in your order next time vs doing it online (this was a call in order not online), maybe explain it better next time, maybe tell them you want it made in the reverse order.... In the end, we still have this pizza, not guaranteed a refund and they've lost us as a customer!! $51 plus a $5 tip for this pizza & a gluten free. I just checked my bank account and I'm not seeing a charge yet so maybe she did refund after we hung up but not sure yet. Very poor customer service, especially by the manager!!“

“Stopped here with my parents during the last leg of our family vacation. I loved the lively atmosphere and the delicious food here! I highly recommend this place to out-of-staters like us, who enjoy classic New England vibes. For food, I recommend their Beef Burger with the side of Geaghan's pub fries. “Small truck stop experience. 18 wheeler front ends mounted on wall. Antique snowmobile hangs from ceiling. Vegetables growing in canoes outside near entrance. Very friendly and fun waitstaff. Food is what you should expect from a truck stop…maybe even better.“

“Stopped on the way back from Canada. I had the chicken pot pie and it was delicious. Full of chicken and veggies with a fantastic crust. Very light and flaky. My friend had the thanksgiving sandwich and she raved about it. Our server was very pleasant and attentive. My only complaint is that they do not have the Purple Pie anymore. It was a blueberry pie with a crumble crust and most of the proceeds went to help the Alzhiemer's Association. It was unbelievable!!“
