Have to share because it made such a hard evening just a little easier. A few weeks ago we lost our dog Scout very tragically. I called in an order to go and whn I went in to pick it up the hostess immediately knew something was wrong. She asked if I was alright and I instantly broke down.. I told her what had just happened. She then proceeded to give me two desserts, gave me a big hug and, told me they were on the house. It wasn’t about the desserts (they were fantastic as always) it was more the kindness, support and, sympathy that she showed us that evening. “My wife and I stayed in Kennebunk for a couple days this week and our first stop was The Pilot House. Elliot was upstairs on the ship and he was awesome, he gave us great recommendations for food in the area, and pointed us at the best things to try. 10/10 would recommend the Clam Chowder, and hands down this place is the best view in Kennebunk. Maybe take a light jacket for the wind up on the ship, but it’s an amazing view unmatched by anything else in the area. Lastly, parking in general in Kennebunk is difficult/expensive, The Pilot House has their own parking lot with great availability in our experience and is free for patrons of their restaurant/tours.“

“My friend told me that I absolutely had to try this spot out. Not only was the view amazing the food was even better. We started off with steamers. The steamers were huge and so tasty. As great as they were the lobster flatbread stole the show. The cheese with the lobster was delicious. It was the right amount of crunch with the cheese and lobster being cooked to perfection. There was lobster in every bite. I highly recommend this spot. A great vacation spot to kick back, relax and enjoy some seafood.“

“Sebago Brewing has great beer and food in a convenient location in Kennebunk Maine. They even offer barley wine and cocktails fast and friendly. Its a local gathering spot but convenient if you are trust passing through. A very easy going vibe will be found here with $5 22oz draft beer 🍺 Wednesdays.“

“My family recently got takeout while on vacation! My husband went in for pick up and observed a clean spacious dining area while being greeted by friendly staff. We had a chicken tender basket; and the steak and cheese sub. Both cooked wonderfully and we left happy and full.“

“If you’re looking for a hidden gem in Old Orchard Beach, slightly away from the pier, The Gally is your spot.

It definitely has those classic dive-bar vibes, but with really good pizza, a fun atmosphere, and awesome staff. Honestly, this is probably low-key my favorite bar in Old Orchard Beach.

I almost didn’t want to write this review because I kind of like keeping it a secret. But the staff were fantastic. I believe our server’s name was Kelsey, and she was terrific she really made the whole experience even better.

And the pizza? Probably the best pizza in Old Orchard Beach.🍕

No frills. No pretension. Just good pizza, great service, a fun location, and the right kind of dive-bar atmosphere.

“The Whaler in Old Orchard Beach ⛱ Maine. First let me just say I really like this bar. Its got 3 fish tanks in it. Imagine a bar with fish tanks? There are two billiards 🎱 tables placed in a cool way. They have live music frequently at night. The bar has a whale theme from the pictures, carvings, and overall theme. Its really a cool sight. The bar is the closest to the Amtrak platform in OOB. It makes it my last stop after visiting. This is one of the few Bar locations that is open year round around The Pier in OOB. Its across the street from the platform. I take the train a lot and will be visiting when the tourist season slows down. Its a fun historic place to settle into.“

Tucked away right next to the pool, this spot was exactly what I needed—a laid-back escape from the downtown hustle and bustle of Kennebunkport. I was initially confused about how to get in (thought I was lost for a second!), but once I found it, I knew I’d discovered something special.

Plenty of shady spots to lounge, a great indoor-outdoor vibe, and seriously relaxing poolside energy. A lot of games for kids. The menu hits all the right notes—classic food and drink options that are comforting and satisfying.

The real highlight? Kayla, the bartender. She was an absolute joy! Super friendly, attentive, and full of great local recs. Her service was top-notch, and she made the whole experience that much more enjoyable. We chatted, laughed, and I left already looking forward to coming back.
