I’ve tried to find similar executions of these dishes in different states but nothing beats the way Basil Leaf does it. Their curries are always delicious, and full of fresh veggies. I make it a point to come here at least once whenever I’m back home. The service is always amazing, the family that runs this restaurant is so kind and happy to have you every time.“

Raj the owner personally served us and told us about his journey from humble beginnings to now one of the top 20 or so indian cuisines in the country. It doesn't take long to taste why. Emma - has a unique talent for making you feel like you are the most important person in the room, even as she was juggling all her tables. “This is a pretty popular place for breakfast I have been here numerous times and I have always had plenty of food the omelettes are very big and very good I always end up taking half of it home. They have the best sour dough bread. The waitstaff are always accommodating and the prices are very reasonable. It's definitely where the local yolks (folks) gather.“

“I’m from the Boston area and was meeting a friend in Portsmouth for dinner. We picked Durbar Square and we’re definitely not disappointed. We had an absolutely fabulous meal there. The chicken chili was a delicious, and a different approach than any chili I’ve had before. The chicken was perfect cooked. The sauce was full of flavor. They also ask you to pick yours spice range from 1-10 so you can choose what suits you best. The owner, John, is totally engaged with his customers and if you want, can even demonstrate a yoga pose or 2 (which he is very good at). Just overall a great place to eat.“

“Great place to all kinds of breads with different flavours, we got Tomato bruschetta , olive bread , maple Banana walnut. Also filled with local products jams, sauces and mustards (btw are amazing) friendly staff that are very helpful and knowledgeable! It was a great experience that will bring me back for years to come.
