“We wandered in today and sat at the bar. We were so impressed with both the service and the food. The bartender was cordial, friendly, and extremely attentive. We had a flatbread that was absolutely delicious and chicken, bacon ranch salad with house made ranch that was exceptional. Closer than any. We don’t have a flatbread company near our home sure wish we did.“

I honestly wasn’t expecting much out of this place, but my expectations were surpassed. the vibe was really nice with all of the mood lighting, the staff was super friendly, and the food was delicious (& i’m not even huge on seafood). we got the carne asada fries, chipotle chicken, and fish tacos - all of which were so good. only gripe is that I reserved a “lounge” table and was seated at a tiny high top. other than that it was a great experience“

“I've been coming here for 40 years always get my pizza made in the old oven. Today the cashier stood there and basically argued with two sets not just one of customers on how there is no difference between the old oven and the new conveyor style oven. There is a difference in both taste and texture. Because of this she lost the restaurant a good size sale.“

Enjoyed thier spin on Poutine with a tater tots base. Lots of goo goodness with bacon and sausage. Sausage pizza with Vodka sauce had real Greek olives and was delicious. Will be back again!“

“I am sooooo thankful I found this place and tried it out. Being a vegan is sooo difficult but these guys make it easy and make it taste great. I love the friendly staff and the atmosphere and the food of course. My new favorite pie is small with vegan cheese, sauce under the cheese and on top, red and Vidalia onions, roasted garlic and Greek olive with the herbs on top. “While staying at a nearby hotel, we ordered Portland Pie Co for pickup. It was ready within 20 minutes on a Friday night, which was great! The building and interior was very modern, and it smelled amazing inside!

We ordered to the chicken nachos and chicken broccoli alfredo for dinner, and loved both meals. You could taste the ingredients were fresh and made to order. Also, the portions are HUGE, and we felt the price was pretty competitive based on the quality and portion sizes! We'll be back on our next Portland trip!“

The sandwich was delicious and that bread!! We also got the pulled pork with scallions pizza and added mushrooms and pepperoni- it was so good. The crust was thin with a perfect char. We couldn’t decide if the sandwich or pizza was better but all agreed if this place existed in Oklahoma, we’d be regulars.“

But it is worth the money for me. When you park there please don't park behind the building, that is for employees. I found out by having a unpleasant talk with the manager/owner. The red sauce is perfect—right in that sweet spot between too sweet and too acidic, like it knows balance better than most people I’ve met. The crust? “Love this location. There are so many options that it is hard to decide on what to order. The staff was very pleasant and the food was awesome. When I am in Biddeford, always specifically to shop at Market Basket; we always order food at Market's Kitchen. And the prices are as good as the store itself. You cannot get a Cheeseburger, French Fries and a 20 oz. Soda anywhere cheaper than here. And it's good. And if you want a comfort food dinner, this is the place to go. Turkey Dinner with all the fixings for less than you would pay for a value meal at a fast food chain. I absolutely love this place.“

“i was there last night (friday PM) you guys were super busy with take out. i as correctly informed of the long cook time for my pizzas on the phone by "Joe R" and i'm assuming Joe was also the young man at the register taking cash and fielding so many complaints last night. he was calm apologetic and always kept a smile even when more than one customer berated him about the long wait times. i just wanted to say he handled everything so well and took far more bad behavior than he should ever have to deal with from the public. keep up the great work Joe. i'm so sorry so many "adults" are so very rude.“

“We ordered catering from Otto’s Pizza for our rehearsal dinner and it was excellent, as always. I’m a huge fan of Otto’s and they absolutely delivered. The order was ready right on time, the pizzas were hot and delicious, and everyone loved them.

The staff was incredibly kind and even helped carry the pizzas out to the car, which we really appreciated. Such an easy, stress-free experience with consistently amazing food. I would definitely recommend Otto’s for catering any event!“

“If you know, you know. Amato's is one of the quintessential sandwich shops in Maine, and as a born-and-raised local, there really is nothing like it, as they proport in their slogan. When living out of state, every time I came home to visit, my first stop was for a Real Italian, a Moxie, and Humpty Dumpty All Dressed chips.

I've had a generic review here for years, but I needed to update it after this weekend. It was a busy Friday, I was on my way home from work and picking up an order my wife had placed for the whole family. I didn't have the order details, and so some of this was certainly my oversight, but when I arrived home, a sandwich was missing, and another was generously lacking in vegetables, though I would only learn this last bit on the drive back to the store.

Upon explaining the situation, no less than three staff members jumped to fix the situation, finding the lost sandwich, remaking the other, and additionally providing me with a quart-sized soup/salad container of freshly sliced veggies, just to make sure that we had all we needed. The customer service was - in a word - exceptional. I had even proclaimed that this was not enough to sour me as a customer, and they still insisted on going above and beyond.

Thank you again to the Amato's South Portland staff. You made our evening.“
