“Lately we`ve been trying out some of the eclectic restaurants on Biddeford`s Main Street. Now that we have visited Peng`s and had The Best Pizza Ever, it will be harder to try anything else!
First off, it is a nice, relaxed atmosphere, very clean, and the staff is welcoming. You can order a basic red or white 16``pie with your selection of toppings on their soft chewy sourdough. It has authentic Italian-style crispy charred bubbles at the edge for a little crunch. But their signature pies are the heart and soul of Peng`s. We had the toasted pistachio white pie with pecorino, scallions and pickled Fresno peppers. Every bite was a party in the mouth! The red pie we got had sausage, pecorino, oregano, spicy honey & pickled jalepenos. Wow - what an amazing flavor!
We cannot say enough about the lemon onion white pie we tried. The flavor combination was just luscious! And the Vodka sauce red pie with pepparoni; mellow sauce; spicy meat. Yum!
All in all, Peng`s is a wonderful addition to the downtown Biddeford restaurant scene.“

“Fantastic restaurant!! The pride the owner has in his establishment shows in the food. The pizza and the cannolis were delicious. The owner, Frank even came out to chat a few times during our visit. It was well worth the detour south from Portland before heading back home to Belfast. We will be back!!!!“

My new favorite pie is small with vegan cheese, sauce under the cheese and on top, red and Vidalia onions, roasted garlic and Greek olive with the herbs on top. “Bittersweet to be writing this review as I will not be able to go here again due to them closing. Glad I was able to make one more stop here once we saw they announced the closure. Fond memories of slab from great beer events held during Maine Beer Week years ago. Along those lines, you could always count on a great taplist with beers from Maine and further. This was a favorite spot of my wife and I to grab some slab style pizza with a brew. Their thin crust pizzas were solid as well, but my favorite food option here has always been the meatball sandwich. It seems to be tough times for many Portland restaurants so if you have favorites spots go out and support them! Thanks for all the memories slab!“

Food was good, but we thought it was pricey. Two 10” pizzas and a large salad to split cost $45. We did take out, so left a smaller tip than for table service. If you ate that meal in, you’d drop another 10 bucks for a tip. Not much for that kind of money.“

“Love this location. There are so many options that it is hard to decide on what to order. The staff was very pleasant and the food was awesome. When I am in Biddeford, always specifically to shop at Market Basket; we always order food at Market's Kitchen. And the prices are as good as the store itself. You cannot get a Cheeseburger, French Fries and a 20 oz. Soda anywhere cheaper than here. And it's good. And if you want a comfort food dinner, this is the place to go. Turkey Dinner with all the fixings for less than you would pay for a value meal at a fast food chain. I absolutely love this place.“

“Absolute comfort food. I've been a fan of these folks since they opened at this location years ago and I lived a few blocks away. Since I now live out of the state, I now enjoy bringing friends here when I return.I know they have a great, broad menu of items and you could pick a winner with any of them, but man - I've always been in love with The Old Port - a simple pepperoni pizza. Everything about it has been consistently "just right" over the years (ratio of ingredients to one another, doughiness, overall flavor). It even reheats like a champ when I've had to do that.Absence does make the heart grow fonder. Sure, that's the case with people... but when it comes to pizza like this? Doubly, if not more, so. I'm already waiting for my next trip back to get a pie one evening.“

“We were pleasantly surprised at how great the pizza was here. Had just got in from driving up to portland and didn’t really want to go out somewhere for dinner, so we stopped here. The pizza was fantastic. We got two smalls, the squash ricotta and cranberry, and a mashed potato bacon and scallion.

On paper, these do not sound like they would work on a pizza, but wow. Crust was still crunchy, and the flavors really worked together.

“i was there last night (friday PM) you guys were super busy with take out. i as correctly informed of the long cook time for my pizzas on the phone by "Joe R" and i'm assuming Joe was also the young man at the register taking cash and fielding so many complaints last night. he was calm apologetic and always kept a smile even when more than one customer berated him about the long wait times. i just wanted to say he handled everything so well and took far more bad behavior than he should ever have to deal with from the public. keep up the great work Joe. i'm so sorry so many "adults" are so very rude.“

“Great local pizza spot! I highly recommend getting their pizza with bacon and meatball. Their meatball sandwich is also very good. There are many "create your own" pizza options as well with different doughs, sauce and toppings. There are TVs to watch sports in the bar area as well. On weekends and evenings it can get crowded with wait times, but overall, it is a good place to eat at or take out.

“Just got a Gyro and I am satisfied with it. I just want to make a little suggestion. I worked for a Greek pizzeria in Brattleboro VT for 30 years. We made the gyros similar to yours but, as I was eating it tonight the pita bread fell apart. Instead of just taking it out of the bag, lightly butter it with garlic butter and put it in the oven until it's lightly crisped. Not to much because it won't be workable. Then take it out and do your thing. Nice people, nice environment and good food. Thank you again.“

It started off on high note when the store reopened as FVM, but has since started to fall back to what it had formerly been. Still my favorite place for italians but I'll unfortunately be ordering from elsewhere until things fall back in line. Update-2022: Expecting any level of quality from this place is still a joke. I still enjoy getting their food on occasion but I can't help but laugh at what I get. They're lucky for their location and lack of competition. This order will definitely be the last chunk of change I spend there. Burned food, scarce toppings, and little to no filler in a calzone described to have a generous portion of chicken in it. Speaking of the calzone, it was a chicken parmesan and it didn't even have any cheese! It's laughable really. I'd usually say they're a fair priced store but when they continue to cut back it's hard to even give them that much credit. Go in with low expectations and they might just exceed them if you're lucky enough.“

I did go the other day paid almost 55$ for a pizza and tip and two steak and cheese sandwich pizza things and my two stark and cheese was Burt so couldn't eat it as well I had rach sauce on my sandwich he got what I was asking or confused if only wanted one pizza sandwich and two garlic sauce not two steak and cheese and one ranch sauce not ranch on my sandwich though I don't enjoy it cooked like that sorry so this time I was very disappointed ☹️ sorry to have to say gracias though love to ya all.

“Some of the best pizza in Portland. Flavors and options are always great. The inside has a nice ambiance if you’re going on a date. The only confusing thing, and maybe I’ve just gotten bad luck, but the service is sometimes sub-par. I wolnt let it take a star away, however, this is an area they could be more consistent on. I think it’s because they don’t have a dedicated server so the cashier/pizza maker ends up taking orders and they maybe are not trained in customer service. And they are busy with their other tasks so not always on top of checking when people come in.
