“We bumped into the Moose Morning Coffee truck twice in two days during our deliveries — and I’m not mad about it! 😍 The ladies working were so kind, they even offered ice for my little one’s hot apple cider. And the donuts… YUM. Melt-in-your-mouth goodness! 🍩🫶🏻”

“Went and had a steak dinner. The food was amazing, the staff person was top notch. Pricing was reasonable. The lounge area had a nice laid back vibe to it and wasn’t too loud. I’ll definitely be back for more!”
“First time customer visiting from Missouri. Had never heard of this place before but only needed to hear one word - “lobster”. Got a warm lobster roll and it hit the spot! Wish we had these in Missouri!”

“this place is a true Maine gem.! we've been going here a few years now is without a doubt the absolute best pizza in the state of maine! the sandwich is also a good second choice. they always have unique local beers, and a super friendly crowd. we travel 45 minutes once a week and it's worth it!”
“Robin and her staff have done an incredible job helping us organize an 'end-of-the-year' field day luncheon for our middle school. Thorough, transparent and willing to accommodate at every step! We appreciate all their hard work and look forward to working with them again in the future!!! Thanks again!!!

“Wow this place so far exceeded expectations from minute one. We came in with my elderly aunt and everyone was so attentive and helpful. The hostess was able to get us seated in the tavern area fairly quickly in spite of them being very busy. The atmosphere was very interesting and there were intricate chalk drawings on the walls. The noise level was quieter than I would expect in a pub atmosphere so we were able to chat. The food was incredible, the oysters were super fresh and my only suggestion is to serve these with fresh lemon. For an entree I had French onion soup and a toasted mini baguette and it was delicious. My husband had the chicken which was also delicious and my aunt had the fish and chips which she seemed very pleased with.”

“Our first time at Bintliffs. Busy but cozy... and the food was excellent. One thing detracted from the experience... I love rock and roll but not at a loud volume over breakfast at 8 A.M. I did ask (twice) if it could be turned down and was assured both times that it would be, but it didn't happen. Conversation with my breakfast company was difficult. So I'll give an A+ on the food, but the overall experience a B-.”

“Let me put the cart before the horse and tell you this was one of the best, if not the best, experiences I have had at a restaurant. Corrinna was lovely. She took time to explain to this uninitiated wine consumer the differences between wines, glasses, and tasting, as well as pairing with foods. Speaking of food, this was also splendid. We started with oysters, which was a first, calamari, pork belly, arancini, and focaccia that melted in your mouth. My main course was the Swordfish with sweet potato puree, fingerling, and swordfish "bacon" jam. This is a silent gem that I selfishly stays quiet for my purposes, but Back River Bistro needs to be visited by anyone who loves a small curated dining experience. Much success to Matt & Corrinna. It is much deserved.”

“What a sweet place! The service is wonderful, so fine to be treated with love. As you can see from the photo, the sausage gravy is humongous! and tasty too. But wait... who has these prices any more? Over in Rockland we have to pay $18 if we want sausage gravy and here it's less than half that AND you get two eggs and choice of sausage or bacon with it. Wonderful find. Can't wait to go back and try their salisbury steak or turkey dinner that everyone was ordering. Thanks Dave! (but moreso the wonderful waitresses)”

“Just learned this was originally Park's Diner on Front St. in Waterville!! I ate breakfast there all the time back in 1959 when I was a kid with my dad.”
“Pumpkins are great but if you are going for apple picking don’t. The frost killed most of the apples.”
“What an amazing hidden spot! Wish we had found this years ago! We come here once a year on vacation. Pepper is a wonderful conversationalist, and so friendly! Every beer we tried was excellent, and the food was amazing. We took some beer to go as well!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! We are from upstate New York. ~Rob and Janet Dandrow”

“Placed a big to-go order including a hamburg pizza, chicken Alfredo, fish and chips, and some mozzarella sticks. EVERYTHING was great, and the fish portion was huge!! The cashier was super friendly, double-checked my order, and even opened the door for me to get out since I kinda had my hands full. We’ve ordered other things in the past, and the food and service is consistently good. We’re lucky to have this place!”
“Great little gem in Gardiner! Amazing beer and scenery!”
“great fixture in the community for a place to meet after work and have a glass of wine. really enjoyed”
“I live in Wichita Kansas. No one here knows what a Woopie pie is. I am from Mass and my niece sent me 1 dozen of these pies from Gardiner Me and she lives in Maine. I had two pies with milk. I am in heaven. They were great tasting. Recommend for everyone.”

“My wife and I have been searching high and low for a top-shelf dining experience in Maine since we arrived. Today, we drove 2-1/2 hours from Bar Harbor to Wiscasset to eat at “In a Silent Way.” It exceeded all expectations. James Beard-level food and wine. From the oysters to the steak tartare and raspberry panna cotta, everything was magnificent. Well worth the drive. Confident sharing, In a Silent Way, is the most elevated food in Maine. And lovely service as well. Gushing.”
“The wait was an hour. But it was well WORTH the time. They don’t measure or weigh the lobster. They just load it up. I had leftovers. I have a healthy appetite but I couldn’t finish it all. I opted to not even eat the majority of the roll. It was tasty with the awesome warm butter that is served with it. This was my first visit but not my last. Awesome hard working folks.”

“Ive been driving by for 4 years and finally saw they were open. One reviews mentioned cash only so I brought cash. Ordering via phone after I placed my order the man said see you in 20 minutes, cash only. I said okay. It sounded a little rude but that's okay. When I got there the guy was super friendly and older and so I let him keep the change from my $20 for the $15 large sausage pizza. It felt on the lighter side because it's very thin pizza. It was okay pizza for Maine but not good enough for me to order again. Very nice people though and I don't think their pricing is too expensive. I just didn't think it was super great and my Dad agreed when he tried a slice.”

“Always love the food and service here. We come back every few months and share a great meal. One of the best BBQ in Maine.”
“My favorite pick me up! Stopping here for a drink makes my day!”
“For a place that doesn’t serve food , just beer and booze this place is a winner!
This place has “30” Taps on bar for your pleasure.
My favorite “ Alligash White” is always available each and every time I’ve stepped into this fine Pub! I give this place a 5 star revue because of a few things off the top of my head. First and foremost is the Bartender’s! And other employees! They are amazing and make you feel at home, they remember you when you come back and that’s a lot for this day and age of fast food dive bars and pubs everywhere !!!
There is plenty of fresh food around with a Chinese place just next door ( the bar staff stocks plates and utensils for you if didn’t get any when you bought your food…)
As always don’t forget tip the bartenders especially Danielle !!!!
they are the ones that make it all happen!”
