“Burger King was one of two burger options for the travel plaza, and having dietary restrictions, BK was easier to work around than the other. The cashier was very helpful with the kiosk - since that was the only way to order and use a credit card.”
“The chicken rivals Chick-fil-A but the popcorn shrimp were more spicy than I thought they'd be. The biscuits weren't bad but seemed a little undercooked.”
“Consistently fantastic, the staff are incredibly friendly and the food is always good. The classic farmers breakfast with rosemary toast is my go-to but the biscuits and gravy (please get the chorizo biscuits and gravy if it’s available), french toast, hot chocolate with home made whipping cream, basically everything on the menu is worth trying.”
“Always have something..and owner/cook remembers for last 30 years...fries Always goo..get extra ketchup...I get hamburger with fried onions and ketchup....good folks own and run the place!!!”
“This is by far the best local brewery in central Maine! Ambiance, entertainment, the coolest bartenders and amazing beer! You must put this on your to-do if you are lucky enough to be in this lovely part of Maine!”
“The food is is amazing and affordable. It rivals any of the fancy spots in Portland and South. Seating is a little but of a nightmare when it's busy, but I'm telling you it's well worth it. Coffee is some of the best I've ever had as well. This is a MUST VISIT spot.”
“This is the best Thai restaurant in Maine. The 2nd favorite of mine is Pinto Thai to Go. You don't need any other Thai food if you have these two. Thai with us uses high quality ingredients. I have never been served the 'fancy' little mushrooms anywhere else. Best crab rangoons in Maine. Tom Yum soup. Be careful when you get Drunken Noodles though. The chef makes them extra spicy so I stopped ordering them there. Everyrhing else is AMAZING. Curries and noodle dishes alike, poetry in motion.Vegetarian options: There are several, clearly labeled vegetarian dishes.”
“Located on Water Street in downtown Waterville, this brewpub is a popular restaurant/pub that specializes in thincrust pizza that is excellent. They also serve salads and dessert. The service is excellent and friendly. This is an open environment with larger tables for larger groups or more intimate tables for four scattered throughout. This is a nice spot for families or just adults.”
“The staff is friendly and the food is great. Definitely recommend the steak n cheese from here If your looking for the best one around gardiner/augusta.Parking: Parking is directly located infront of the building. Plenty of spots to choose from.”
“When in Maine a lobster roll is a MUST! Red Barn in Augusta has the friendliest service, massive portions, and a down home feel. I had a lobster roll with drawn butter and it was the best and meatiest lobster roll I've had in years. We also ordered a snack (lunch size) of fried clams, onion rings, and fried vegetables. The breading on everything didn't taste or feel super greasy, just a tender breading with light seasoning.”
“This place is very unique for where it is. Food is refined and definitely worth the trip. Drinks are strong and precise. The Maine crab stuffed haddock is a killer dish as are the fried croutons arugula salad with tomatoes and goat cheese . In such a small town this is truly exceptional putting it lightly.”
“The ice cream is so good, we didn't let the cool fall temps, and the early sunset time, stop us from going. Prices are very reasonable, and the service was excellent.”
“I ride my motorized bike into this place as if I’m a motorcyclist lol. It’s my favorite place locally and the whole family enjoys it when we drive in. Great food, awesome lobster rolls, really good ice cream (and a lot of it!) and it’s just a smash hit with all ages. Cool drive-in feel, a Jersey rock (I’m from Jersey originally, therefore I know good food also), a play area that my kids love, and awesome service from kind employees. They will bring you your food and are awesome at remedying problems like spilt ice cream.Kid-friendliness: There are foods kids love and great ice cream! And a play area that my kids love!”
“Absolutely the best ice latte ever! I had a large skim milk and sugar-free caramel latte. It was like having dessert, which by the way, their bakery is full of. They have super cute inside seating with little games on the tables. I'm smiling as I write this. Just fabulous ??”
“Went to Renys for the first time in my life and told my daughter we needed to try a new place to eat while there, our winner was Gerard's. And we were not disappointed. We ate a whole large cheese bread stick I couldn't believe it. Great job.”
“Some of the best homemade food around. Kasie & her husband have really improved this restaurant since taking over! Amazing breakfast, lunch & Friday night specials. EVERYTHING is homemade!!!!”
“I have not been up thar far in Maine yet. Looking at the photos it's like you went back to colonial times. We have plenty of colonial buildings and styles here in Massachusetts. It's rustic Old school”
“Take out was a little longer than the quoted time, but guess what, that happens with a great establishment because people flock there and they are busy. I had a 30 minute ride before I ate my food and it was still fantastic! We will definitely go back. Yum!”
“We’ve been to Bistro Milliard a few times, and we’ll keep coming back. Even though we live in Scarborough, it’s worth the 1:15 drive as a destination, even passing by the many fine Portland restaurants. Tim and crew just do a fantastic job with fresh food prep and interesting menu choices. We had short rib over pasta and halibut. Immediate smiles came to our faces after first bites. Charcuterie board was delicious. Can’t say enough good things about this intimate little spot on Main St in Hallowell.”
“Since moving to Maine I've had the A1 Diner on my list of restaurants to visit. I finally got the chance today for brunch and it was great! The brunch menu had several wonderful options including eggs Benedict with lump crab. I had shashuka which is a favorite dish and one I was pleasantly surprised to find. It was delicious!I will definitely be back, probably on the regular now.”
“We've been to Doolin's twice so far. Their Valentine 3 course dinner was great. Second time was for fish and a burger. We'll definitely be going again soon. Highly recommend you check Doolin's out!!!”
“I am not sure why it's taken me so long to write a review, but here it goes.Hands down our favorite restaurant in the Augusta area. The food is always amazing, fresh, and different compared to what's offered around the area. We loved their food and service so much, that we chose to have our wedding rehearsal dinner here. Eli (Chef) was very easy to work with, as I'm kind of a picky pants and he changed our menu around a few times. He had the restaurant decorated with flowers and candles. The place looked so inviting, but also casual (as this is our style). He accommodated our love for metal music with a great Playlist as well. The food was on point (as it always is!) And our guests were very impressed with the food. We still get compliments about our dinner and it was back in 2021. I honestly can't say enough great things about The Oak Table. Totally worth going if you haven't tried it and if you have tried it and haven't gone back, what's your deal?!Amazing food!Amazing service!Amazing experience!”
“Best quick bite in town remaining. Family owned & operated for as long as I know of. Many pizza options, sandwiches, subs, & Greek food to choose from and always hot & ready in like 15 minutes.Parking: Anywhere in the lot, pavement is a bit rough & people can be a bit quick pulling in or out of the sometimes tight space”
“Having a lousy day (work car is acting up and at nearby car shop). I walked over to Pinto and they were lovely. I showed right before their break (2:30-3) and they graciously let me stay and eat the most amazing cashew nut stir fry with chicken. Wow!! I’m definitely coming back. Thanks so much for the hospitality.”
“Great prices, fantastic service, good food. Portions on the smaller side but for the low price -pretty generous. (Our bill was less than $40 for 3 adults and a child. Food a bit too greasy but hey, it's a diner. I looove good home fries but these were not my favorite. However, if you like them very well done brown all over, then you will love them. Tastes differ. I like the mushy on the inside, just gently browned on the outside. My daughter absolutely loved the bagel, perfectly toasted. The cinnamon raisin toast was very good. Clean table and utensils, super nice waitress.”
“Solid menu and consistent quality. A great variety of local beer in a relaxed atmosphere, and the guitarist did considerably justice to the classics including Tom Petty.”
“I have been wanting to try this restaurant for a while but they're usually closed. Finally tried it today and they did not disappoint. My friend and I were both very impressed with the quality of the food and atmosphere. I will be back.”
“Food and beer were both awesome. Stopped in on a whim and we were not disappointed. Will definitely be back in the future. We stopped in on Hallowell's Mardi Gras celebration. Really recommend the beer cheese soup, it's to die for.”
“This is an adorable little place on the inside! Tucked away in a quiet area of Augusta so it feels like a cute and quiet place that’s perfect for date night! The food was delicious! We got a chicken pad Thai, an avocado unagi maki, spicy udon soup, and a taro boba tea. The only comment we had was that the udon noodles themselves were a little mushy. Other than that, the broth was delicious! Before this experience I was convinced I didn’t like tapioca bobas, only the popping ones but these bobas were soft and had a good bounce to them. We will absolutely be back again and loved all the food we picked up!”
“Me and my buddy tagged a Doe here while hunting. we took a break and we got 2 steak and cheese sandwiches and we ate right there at the little tables and it was awesome.”
