“My review is based off of the tamales just ordered. I grew up in Panama and it was one the best treats to get fresh tamales. It didn’t happen very often- but when it did, I loved them so much. And obviously in Maine- it’s almost impossible to find them- especially authentic. I was quite impressed with Sammy’s take on tamales. Of course- they are not the exact replica of what I had- but they are very impressive. And it’s A LOT of work to make them. It’s not Taco Bell. These are real tamales and I truly hope they don’t go away. Thanks so much for adding these into the Midcoast menu taking the time. Truly delicious. 🇵🇦”

“Absolutely lovely and wonderful! The raw tuna ceviche appetizer with yuzu dressing was incredibly fresh and delightful. The nigiri with tekka roll special plate was perfect. The fish and seafood were absolutely fresh and tasty. I so much appreciated the nigiri with the lobster topping as I felt that this was a poetic addition to being on the coast of Maine (I’m from New York City, so this delighted me a lot).

The atmosphere is well curated and feels very comfortable. The staff is super-friendly.

Reservations are highly recommended. I had called ahead and left a voicemail and received a callback to confirm the time.

“We took my sister out to eat for her birthday. We ordered 2 buckets.. seafood platter. Food was excellent! Servers were great. Even took pictures of us for me. Everyone was so polite and very fun. Food was served hot and tasted amazing. Best seafood place I've been to so far. Highly recommended. Even if prices were high, the food was well worth the 2 and half hour drive! “Best REAL bar in the town. We were looking for somewhere to watch the eagles with hood wings!! Chowder and wings were unbelievable, Reuben delicious!! Chris the bartender was personable and on it! Even ended up sitting next to the owner and some regulars. Genuine people, awesome environment and delicious food! 5 stars! Thank you!”

“Snowfox is a grab and go sushi counter located inside a Hannaford supermarket. A variety of prepackaged combinations are available. Sometimes there are also side items available, such as seaweed salad or dumplings. Some of the combinations are vegetarian/vegan.”

“My aunt and I went to Archer’s on Monday and splurged for lunch and totally enjoyed ourselves! The setting was gorgeous, beautiful with views of the harbor and we had the best seat in the house. The staff and were friendly and knowledgeable on the menu. We tried the peekytoe crab cakes and oyster Rockefeller for appetizers and had the lobster lunch special! That lobster was the best one I’ve ever had, perfectly steamed and very delicious. Couldn’t walk away without a slice of raspberry and blueberry pie for dessert! I will recommend this place to all my friends who travel to Maine for vacation! Archer’s made these 2 Cajun gals very happy while we were on vacation! Thank you so much Lynn!”

“The food is very good and the the people are very nice and patient. The one thing that annoys me is that I order the bacon double cheeseburger with no lettuce and no pickles. I know the folks taking my order get it right. They repeat back my requests as they are entering into the computer. maybe the folks putting the orders together should read what the order says? This happens everytime .”

“Employee-owned cool cafe in downtown Rockland. Great food and very friendly and warm staff. Popular spot although one can usually find a place to eat. In the Summer, they have a few small tables on the sidewalk. A favorite spot. The soup and wraps are especially good.”

“My wife and I had lunch on a Sunday after visiting the Farnsworth Museum. We chose this because it was open and within eyesight of when we decided to grab lunch.

Dumpy brewpub atmosphere. Good service. The red ale was good. My wife and I shared onion rings that were perfectly cooked and in the same light breading as the fried fish. I had the fried haddock sandwich which tasted right off the boat fresh. Perfect and matches any fired haddock I have had in New Bedford.”
