Taking footlong sub bread and throwing every kind of meat and cheese and everything else under the sun or in your kitchen pantry on it does not a sammich make. As someone who enjoys chicken, I was really impressed with the quality and taste of their chicken sandwiches—they were fresh, flavorful, and made just the way I like. “It's a good thing that everything this menu is good because every time we go, something is wrong with the order. Every. Single. Time. It's comical. Doesn't matter the location. Piquette was the most recent, but last time it was the Livernois spot. Thankfully we're able to pick pickles off or deal with no pita chips on our salad or even accept beef instead of chicken, because again, everything is tasty. Not worth it to complain because the staff aren't the most friendly. Like another reviewer said, get an extra side of garlic!“

“The staff, one woman and two gentleman, were absolutely amazing. It's been a very long time since I've witnessed customer service like this, and I say this as someone who worked in fine dining the last 7 years. They were unbelievably giving and warm to a customer ahead of me in line, willing to remake her order when she realized she might prefer a larger sub. In a situation where most restaurants would have maintained it was too late to switch, or allowed the change but been nasty and rude about it, the staff here was overwhelmingly accomodating. They made it very clear their singular objective was that customer's satisfaction. It made my experience richer to witness that kindness.

The food was good, I tried the Turkey club and the Firehouse Captains Club. Got double meat on both, and they absolutely delivered on that front. The sauces were a bit heavier than I'd like so I ended up having to eat one sandwich with a fork and knife lol. As far as sandwiches go, I definitely prefer Potbelly or Penn Station. But the service here is absolutely worth a visit!“

“My beef in my shawarma was tougher then I recall but they follow my instructions correctly. They use to not remove items out of their shawarmas which makes it easy to make them but now that give you the option to edit each one that you order. This is a great option for those who don't want or is allergic to certain items on there.“

“The crew that worked at this Henry Ford location on: April 14, 2026 around 2 pm was GREAT! I was having a low blood sugar reaction and they helped me immediately when I told them. I requested an oatmeal raisin cookie and cup for a drink until I could order my sandwich. Tanijha gave me the cookie and cup immediately. When it was my turn to order my sandwich Mimi and Malcolm worked very well together to get my sandwich to me expeditiously due to my low blood sugar. All this happened during a very busy time for them; however, they worked together to get me and my blood sugar together! 😊 I want each of them to know that I appreciate them from the bottom of my heart. I tried to call to speak with their manager Angela the next day, to compliment them, but the phone just rang, then cut off. God BLESS and kudos to each of them for a JOB WELL DONE!

“We came here a few minutes prior to closing time.
The man that serviced us was extremely pleasant, prompt and polite. He was an older gentleman with salt and pepper or possibly white hair. He was so patient with us, even though he was about to close down. He loaded our sandwiches up with the remainder of meat he had left (we got double meat and it was much more generous than any other subway we’ve been to) and he was super fast with the whole process. It’s truly the people that make an establishment 5 stars or 1 star. He did an awesome job and we truly thank him for servicing customers so close to the end of the shift, and even a few minutes after close, with such understanding, patience and respect. You don’t see that very often, especially in a fast food restaurant. The food was great, too. The sandwiches were juicy, fat and toasty. Just how we like them. Cookies on point. We will come back.
Don’t let the “atmosphere” of the place deter you. Sure, it’s not glamorous. But the service made up for it in spades. Thank you kind sir!“

That being said I have never had a problem after eating at this Tubby's. They have gluten free sub buns! Only sub shop I know that has them. And their website has an allergen chart so it's easy to figure out what you can and can't eat. At this location they always clean the grill and change gloves since they know I'm sensitive to dairy and gluten. The food is always good and it takes a little longer than fast food but is worth the couple extra minutes. Highly recommend eating here.“

The food was immaculently displayed, and as a chef I know what it took for them to stand there at the slicer and let the vegetables fall that way. I had to give them a compliment on their food table presentation in the overall presentation of the whole store. I believe the owner / GM was there and he said that he really strives to run a tight ship. Thank you sir because I'm usually disappointed more often than not with food establishments now.
