“I need to take a second here and give major kudos to the team at Panera in Bloomfield township, MI. So my family orders here a lot, my kids love the mac and cheese and I love carbs, so it’s a win-win. We had an order delivered a week or two ago and I happened to notice that the bread bowl (best part tbh) was missing. I called the store, they were very polite and offered to send a voucher in the mail to offset the cost and inconvenience. No problem, that’ll work. Fast forward to today and we ordered again. At the top of the bag was a huge box of cookies with the note, “Voucher already went out in the mail. Enjoy some cookies on us!” THAT is what customer service is all about. They not only remembered or had documented our missed item from the last order, they went above and beyond to proactively tell us that they appreciate us! I’m just unbelievably impressed and thought that whomever reads this should know that even when faced with an honest mistake, this team went above and beyond to impress and take great care of their customers. Great job and thanks again!“

The menu is simple and delicious. The staff was friendly and appreciative of our business. I really enjoyed the Spicy Mortadella. The bread was so fresh. This place offers sandwiches, salads, and tasty dips. The French Onion dip was yummy. They do cold brews and hot coffee also. I strongly recommend this place. Easy parking in Ferndale.“

“I came to Umai Café in Troy for my birthday because I really wanted to try their soufflé pancakes — and they did not disappoint! They were light, fluffy, and absolutely delicious. We also tried the sando, which was just as good — flavorful and satisfying.

The café itself has such a cozy, welcoming vibe, and the staff were very kind. The only small hiccup was that the posted hours said they open at 11:30, but they didn’t open until 12:00, so keep that in mind if you’re planning an early visit.

Overall, it was a wonderful birthday treat, and I’ll definitely be back to try more from their menu!“

“Today was my first time dining at this establishment and I can most definitely say it will not be my last. I had the caramelized banana French Toast that I added whipped cream too, sausage, hash browns, and fresh squeezed Orange juice!! Leeza is so sweet with a great warm spirit and very personable. “If you are a Kpop fan and love with the Korean culture then this is the place for you! It’s one of the few places in Michigan where we Kpop fans can gather and connect with each other! I was just there and the cafe allowed Kpop fans of ASTRO to do a vigil memorial for the death of Moonbin! I wanted to do something to say my goodbyes to the artist and I seriously appreciated that they provided that space for people to do that and other Kpop events! “I absolutely love this bakery! We drive about an hour for it and it never disappoints. Get there early because the best stuff goes fast. There is also a little extra parking on the street if you find the lot full (which it often is). My favorite thing is the pistachio croissants, but if you are looking for savory, I also recommend the pastries with mozzerella, basil, and sun-dried tomato.“

Why not stop in at Royal Oak Roast? It’s a comfy place with great people watching. The coffee is wonderful and refills are a dollar. So many different coffee choices in all styles, including espresso over over Weiss vanilla ice cream!!! The kitchen, yes I said kitchen has scrumptious food that is presented beautifully with the seasonal selections. All this sound good? Well that’s not even the best part. It’s the staff. It’s a varied collection of kind, hard working people that make you feel welcomed and are always working hard to get your order out to you. “Visiting for the holidays and needed somewhere to work with some fuel. Came Xmas eve and day after. Both times there was solid friendly service. Small but there is planting seating. Usually have a dark roast but that wasn’t an option. I would stop again when visiting.“

“Been here a few times already but I love coming back with new people to try it. We got the classic cotton cake and the ube cotton cake. The ube is my favorite and the flavor blows me away every time. The cotton cakes are so light and fluffy. We got a cotton candy frappe and a cookies and cream frappe to go with the cotton cakes and those were a bit disappointing. They weren't really blended well and tasted like a melted vanilla ice cream with a hint of the flavor. Not frozen at all. They looked pretty though.
Side note to mention that the bathroom door button lock had fallen off and the employee helped me find it and put it back on but they are aware it needs to be fixed.
I plan on continuing to come back to this place as the cotton cakes never disappoint“

“So we decided to take a different way home after spending the weekend in Detroit and went through West Bloomfield since I-75 has so much construction going on now….and we just happened to see Sunny’s and decided to stop in. WOW are we ever glad we did!! What a fantastic brunch!! The Belgian waffle with fresh fruit and whipped cream was incredible….and the meat lovers omelette was stellar too!! A little pricey, but worth every penny. Friendly staff too! This was our first time here and my wife and I already discussing when we can drive into West Bloomfield again (about 30 miles away) so we can enjoy a breakfast or brunch there again!!“

“Love this place. Girls are always very attractive, friendly, and their smiles and pleasant conversation always make my day when I visit. It is always nice to watch them make my coffee. The coffee menu has good choices. The Waterford location is my closest location so it is always clean and the drive thru is spacious. One suggestion though, maybe invest in a new sign out front, the current plastic could use a good cleaning or replacement.“

“It’s pretty expensive but it’s for the convenience and the organic ingredients that you pay for. If you want mass produced products with high sugars and additives drive down Rochester road and find 10 every few miles.I will say my only gripe is that for the smoothies: I don’t like protein in them so when I see a $9.99 price it makes sense WITH protein for a smoothie - whenever I remove the protein I wish it would go down to at least $6.99 or $7.99.Their meals to go are usually what I buy most of. Super convenient.“

Everything else was single layer in the cart with the bar codes facing up for her convenience. And in the end created more work for not only us but herself while costing customers. I am not paying to deal with hostile employees. “I’ve been driving past this place everyday for the last year and just recently stopped in and haven’t stopped since. I am always greeted when I walk in and the women are super helpful. My first time she explained the entire menu to me and all the options. Even told me what bagels just came out of the oven. And when I tell you it was UNREAL I mean it! Egg and sausage sandwich on Asiago was so fresh and so tasty. I’ve gone a handful of times since and ever single time I walk out in a better mood. Elaine’s has amazing bagels and their hazelnut coffee is unmatched. You got yourself a regular. I recommend this place to anyone!“
