“They have a private room/garden which was absolutely perfect for my market/garden themed bridal shower. The staff and food were both absolutely top-tier. Attentive, thoughtful, and helpful. The venue had more linen options than I expected and it added an extra special touch. The space was fun to transform but unique enough that it doesn't need much. The deposit and minimum spending was reasonable.“

“The food was delicious. The waitress forgot to put in the food order for one guest and forgot to put in the order for one appetizer (and appologized after). So, we had to slowly eat to allow the guest to catch up. The restaurant was busy, and service was a little slow. Service was much better the other times we ate there.“

“We had a team building and dinner event for 14 colleagues at the Hub Stadium Auburn Hills. We had a great time. The buffet food was great, our server John was awesome, and the games were a lot of fun. Gracee helped me plan this event, she was very knowledgeable, courteous and accommodating. “Love this restaurant! We travel from Windsor Ontario to eat here because of the great food and drink. However the best part of Troy Yard House is the staff. Namely Sara who works the bar. She is simply amazing. I marvel at how she commands the bar yet encages with each of her customers. We have been here several times and attend based on Sar's schedule. We truly appreciate her as well the other staff who make this a GREAT place to be!“

“All the people who worked there were the nicest people ever. Their soup has healed me on multiple occasions, and has alphabet noodles which I think is an adorable choice. The food was so good, I got salmon and ordered a second one to go, my husband ordered steak and a lobster tail and he was very pleased. We sat outside and ate and it wasn't too noisy or too much going on. Great experience, great service and great food, the bill wasn't outrageous either. We both agreed that this is a place that's worth visiting often. I highly recommend going there if you haven't already been.“

I ordered a medium Coffee Cured Filet Mignon with Broccoli. My husband ordered the shrimp and scallops potatoes. The son ordered the Steak Frites with Fries very flavorful. My son said it was the best steak he every had. My mom ordered the bone in Cowboy cut Ribeye.

The house bread is so delicious. They put lots of love and attention to the details of every bite. I highly recommend Stoney River for a nice outing for a date or family.“

“I like many of you, like using the review score when making purchase decisions. I never just look at the score. I look for the number of reviews and I try to find helpful reviews to give me more incite into what I may be getting into. My wife works in a business where the reviews really matter for bringing in new customers. She often talks about the long-time customers who keep returning but have never left a review. Those are really the voices that should matter more to people who want an honest review of the company they are looking into. Unfortunately, even though I like looking at reviews, I seldom leave one unless I'm very satisfied with the company or really disappointed. In both cases, I leave my emotions aside and tell things as I experience them. This means that if everything wasn't perfect, I don't ding them for minor stuff. I give people the benefit of the doubt because we all have those days when we aren't at our best. When I read bad reviews about restaurants that I frequent often, I wonder about the person leaving the review. I feel that they are either competitors with malicious intent, someone who didn't try to listen to resolve whatever issues they perceived to be happening, or simply someone who's looking for a reason and is too hard to please in the first place. So with all that out of the way, let me get to the Lim's Star review. I love Chinese food and it's one of the first things I looked for locally when I bought my house 10 years ago. There are several in what I would consider my drivable area. Lim's Star is in my top 5 or higher depending on what dish I'm looking for. 10 years means I've been coming there since before the current owner. Do I miss the dinner rolls? Not really, since I get better quality food and personalization of meals on request. The new owner knows us on sight and remembers what we like to order. He even allows us to modify the ingredients to our liking. He is very friendly and will engage in small talk to get to know his customers better. We eat at or buy takeout from Lim's Star at least once a month, sometimes more. Has everything always been perfect? No, but I really can't recall the last time I was dissatisfied with my order or service. Based on my long review, I'm hoping you can tell I have had many enjoyable meals from and experiences with Lim's Star. Seriously! If you are on the fence or willing to try something new in your area, start with a dish you know to compare. I doubt you will be disappointed in your comparison. Mark J.“

“I rarely write reviews but I want this restaurant to never go away. Go there, spend your money, you won't be upset. Comfortable restaurant, fantastic staff, and amazing food! We ordered appetizers, lunch, and take out for dinner. We got the Reuben Spring Rolls, Pretzel Sticks, Monte Cristo and the Bourbon Burger with Sweet Potato Fries, all delicious! The Mushroom Soup and Beef Stew are the best I've ever had!“

“A local gem! A delightful neighborhood restaurant with a chill atmosphere. I love the food! The menu changes regularly, so you’ll never be bored. The menu isn’t huge but there is an excellent variety of meat, seafood, pasta, fish, salad and vegetables. Every dish is flavorful and exciting. Chef uses quality ingredients.
Clean bathrooms and happy people working there.
Good idea to make a reservation a head of time.

The five star rating is based primarily on the young man who was our cashier. His customer service was exemplary of what you want from customer facing employees. He was incredibly cordial and welcoming, informative and engaging. I sincerely hope that he is being groomed for management. The food was good for casual dining. The tenders over the fusion fries were very tender and tasty. The fries were perfectly crispy. Even while cleaning up our area and planning to leave, the young man was simply a joy.
