I recently had surgery and can't stand to cook and Andary's has been our go to with carry-outs, in the past week I've become hooked on Friday's fish & potatoes, Saturday's city chicken, Wednesday's stuffed cabbage, and Thursday's corned beef & cabbage, everything is awesome along with getting soup & salad with every entree is amazing! “I’m new to the area and ordered pizza and breadsticks from here a couple weeks ago..it was delicious.. Today, I found myself too lazy to cook for myself again and again I put my trust into passport pizza. I was not disappointed. This time I tried the bone in wings. Boy oh boy, when I tell you they were the best carry out wings I have ever had.. I mean it..I was unsure about the mango habanero sauce so it was suggested when I ordered that I get them with the sauce on the side. Well, I ate all of the wings and I still don’t know what the sauce tastes like. They were so good it never even crossed my mind to cover them with anything.. So, if anyone is new to the area (or not) and is unsure of where to order food from.. skip the big pizza chains you’ve been eating and try Passport Pizza in Roseville on 10 mile n Gratiot. You’ll be happy you did.“

“I am not a food critic. But I have the time while flying back home to reflect on dinner last night. The experience was so amazing that I had to leave a glowing review. I seldom take the time to do so.

Marrow is top shelf dining experience. My friends and I went all in with the food paring ($90) and drink paring ($45) options. Pricey but well worth it. 3 small but flavorful starters, a wonderful pear salad, a chorizo and gnocchi dish head of the main event… a 7oz flat iron steak cooked to perfection over a bed of lightly smoked and tender pinto beans finishing with a single scoop of chestnut ice cream. But that was just the food. The drinks were carefully paired with each course. 5 in total. Each one balanced bitterness, sweetness, and acid with each course. My mouth was alive as if it had been raised from the dead. It was so amazing that I forgot to mentally note each drink so I could describe them in the future.

This place is a diamond in the rough. I only wish I had met the chef and the team behind the incredible experience.

I am from Los Angeles and have plenty of great places to dine. My visit to Detroit to watch my friends compete in an indoor track bike race was punctuated be this celebratory dinner.

If you love incredible food with thoughtfully pared drinks, I cannot recommend Marrow enough.“

The Alabama white pulled chicken, pulled pork, pretzels, smoked meats charcuterie board, fresh fruit, double smoked Kielbasa ( so darn delicious) and the Kale Cesar salad.. all finished off by our Family and guests. Everyone loved the beer selection, the food and the vibe at Batch!
We have always been supporters of Batch Brewery, now we feel like they are part of the Family.

“We came to The Whitney for an early birthday dinner for my husband. I cannot say enough positive things about our experience there! The staff went above and beyond my expectations. The food was amazing and cost was much less than I would have expected for the caliber and presentation of our meals and dessert. For all of you paranormal afficionados, their Ghost Bar is a must. The owners of The Whitney have done so much to preserve this amazing estate in Detroit without any funding assistance from the government or grants. Please consider supporting them by being a patron the next time you are in Detroit.“

“Stopped in for a quick bite and prices were a bit more than I could afford. I settled on the Harvest Orzo. Probably should have noticed bacon was added to request it removed. There were 4 squares of squash, plenty of orzo and a bed of greens. The flavor with squash was great but there weren't many pieces of it to call that the flavor of the dish. It was more like cheesy orzo. The staff was great. I felt welcomed. I know the food here can be great, this time sorry.“

“I had the chicken wings and garlic aloi fries. The wings was really good, big wings and had a lot of sauce on them. It's 12 for 20 which to me kinda expensive. The fries was disappointed in 7 dollars for some fries that's half of them was soggy. There was little cheese on it. The ones that was cooked was okay. I wouldn't highly recommend it but I would give it another try if different cooks was working. Saw one guy had to give his wings back before me because they was under cooked.“

“Originally from Michigan but now live in Florida. Went to Detroit for the weekend to attend Red Wings games. Looked for perch dinners and found Andrew’s. Absolutely awesome perch with a generous portion. Loved the atmosphere of the old time era. Staff exceptionally friendly as was the owner. Would definitely recommend this place and can’t wait to return. What I liked was the minimal breading so you have the true taste of perch. This is by far the place to go if you love perch.“

“I moved here in March and I’m still working on finding my new local go to spots. It’s my first time here and this is going to be my #1 go to diner/Coney Island.
It’s a family run business and it’s obvious that they work hard to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The waitresses are genuinely kind and you can tell they care about their customer.

The food was really good! It came out quick, the portions were generous, and if you like hash browns you won’t be sorry!! I’m a big coffee gal and my coffee was never empty, always hot, and as a VERY rare treat, the coffee is actually really good.

Lastly, the restaurant is clean and well maintained. It is obvious they take pride in what they do and are dedicated to making a great experience.

Today I spoke to one of the delightful (and Gorgeous!) waitresses and told her I hoped to have EXTRA not OVER the top onions and mustard and what I got were THE BEST CONEYS!!! “What can one say about this! Amazing coffee, meaning a real mean and perfect double espresso, and silence, all that in the middle of an incredible museum. My wife and I went to this place through a spiral staircase of the first level and were stunned. And to top all that, I was so intrigued by the crests that adorned the walls. Take your time and enjoy looking at them because I apnly had one concern: why, ih, why did I not have more time to spent there? But, we have another trip to the area soon, so we will be back....“
