“I went in for a doordash and noticed some delicious cookies in a case. Lots of the items are expensive but well constructed and portion sized. However the cookies were only $2 each or $5/3 which is amazing. You can just look and see the quality and well made nature of them, all made in house. It was sitting there for a while and the chocolate is almost as if it just came out the oven with its melted state, as well as the entire cookie is moist and soft. I don't like hard crumbly cookies so this is great.
It was being ran by one older woman, yet she was very kind and patient with good customer service. She worked as fast as she could. She also insisted that I take a banana cookie to try just for me being nice and tipping even when I tried to decline haha.
I tried a chocolate chip, a double chocolate, a biscoff, and of course the banana. All amazing, all recommended. I have never been in there before but I will definitely stop by anytime I'm in Dearborn. They have many more flavors and 13 different shakes. They also sell food like chicken and fries and even ice cream creations. Many unique items and things to choose from, presentation and quality of the food is perfect. Please stop by and say hello and grab a cookie and you won't be disappointed.“

“I came to Umai Café in Troy for my birthday because I really wanted to try their soufflé pancakes — and they did not disappoint! They were light, fluffy, and absolutely delicious. We also tried the sando, which was just as good — flavorful and satisfying.

The café itself has such a cozy, welcoming vibe, and the staff were very kind. The only small hiccup was that the posted hours said they open at 11:30, but they didn’t open until 12:00, so keep that in mind if you’re planning an early visit.

My recommendation is to obtain an updated COVID-19 card, and have it on your phone or in your pocket/purse/wallet before you visit. it will save the trouble of being turned away.“

I have been coming here for a decade. The pastries and coffees are sublime. However, more importantly the energy, the vibe is unmatched. The staff can not do enough for you. “Set inside the Detroit Institute of Arts, the Kresge Court offers a quiet setting for a break from visiting the art galleries. Or a refuge for studying. This is a lovely historic setting! The open air Italian palazzo-style courtyard was part of the museum's original 1927 design. It was covered with a glass roof in the 1960s as the museum was enhanced with two wings providing additional gallery space. It's been used as a cafe for more than 10 years now. Very appealing to visit as a respite or to grab a coffee or a cold beverage, a snack, or a meal. Our visit was for lunch. Party of 6. And the Harvest turkey sandwich proved to be irresistible as 4 enjoyed this Fall Menu offering, two with the homemade chips, two with a side salad. The other 2 had entree salads: the pear salad, and the sweet potato salad (that was me, and I so enjoyed this very different salad of yummy cooked sweet potato chunks on a bed of arugula with candied pecans, goat cheese, and a hint of onion)...absolutely delicious!!). Everyone enjoyed their sandwiches. And the chips! Yummy!! Simply order at the counter; the food is brought to your table. And your table is bussed.“

“First I'd like to express how delighted I am with this cafe's staff who are always cheerful and welcoming. Their food is extremely fresh, and I am amazed at the wide selection of choices they offer in their bright, and very clean cafe. Try their soups, usually 3 or 4 choices that change each day. I like to get their lamb shawermas too, and really, their mediterrabean offerings are tasty! They also do a bunch of yummy sandwiches made right on the spot to order. I tend to try their daily specials, as those are usually being prepared and cooked freshly just moments before lunchtime. You might find a mac n cheese one day, a lasagne the next. Today I'm enjoying their spiced chicken. You can clearly see all of the ingredients offered, and if you arrive early in the day, they do a breakfast selection to keep you going. As their clean, bright, cozy space is take-out only, the outdoor deck is only 20 feet away, a nice place to eat on non-Winter days. There is a padded bench just inside nearby in a pinch. They're a family business, so please do come and satisfy your hunger.“

“I'm a business student at WSU and I normally come out to the school a bit earlier to get coffee here. Fourteen East has comfortable, calm vibes and the coffee is amazing. If you need a nice spot to hang out and work, it's perfect.“

“Been here a few times already but I love coming back with new people to try it. We got the classic cotton cake and the ube cotton cake. The ube is my favorite and the flavor blows me away every time. The cotton cakes are so light and fluffy. We got a cotton candy frappe and a cookies and cream frappe to go with the cotton cakes and those were a bit disappointing. They weren't really blended well and tasted like a melted vanilla ice cream with a hint of the flavor. Not frozen at all. They looked pretty though.
Side note to mention that the bathroom door button lock had fallen off and the employee helped me find it and put it back on but they are aware it needs to be fixed.
I plan on continuing to come back to this place as the cotton cakes never disappoint“

“This is a family owned resturant in Highland Park. The food is fresh and made to order. The service is welcoming and feeling your being serviced by a member of your family. There is no indoor seating but when the weather is nice the small outdoor seating space is very nice. Highly Recommend. 😀“
