I couldn't be more pleased with the excellent customer service and quality of the food we receive every time. I send the owner a fairly complicated spreadsheet, and he bags the sandwiches by school for me to make distribution much easier for me. Each order is marked and 100% accurate. The owner is incredibly friendly and helpful. I place similar orders at different universities several times a year, and this is the ONLY place that is consistent and accurate. I swung by this Subway on Grand River right in the middle of a chaotic afternoon, expecting just the standard, run-of-the-mill sandwich experience. Honestly? I was completely blown away by how well-run this spot is.
First off, as soon as you walk in, you notice how incredibly clean it is. The whole setup looks brand new and spotless. The bright lighting, the immaculate glass on the prep station, and even the chip racks and drink coolers are perfectly stocked and organized. It shares space with a convenience setup, which is honestly a huge plus because I was able to grab my lunch, a cold drink, and some snacks for later all in one swoop.
I also noticed they have the fresh meat slicers right behind the counter now, and you can really taste the difference in quality. The staff working the line deserves a shoutout, too. They were handling a steady flow of customers like absolute pros—working fast to keep the line moving, but they didn’t rush me while I was ordering. They built my sandwich exactly how I asked, toasted it perfectly, and didn't drown it in sauce (which is usually my biggest pet peeve!).
If you are navigating downtown Detroit and need a fast, reliable, and surprisingly fresh meal, this location is a hidden gem. It completely elevated my usual fast-food expectations. Quick, friendly, and spotless. I'll definitely be making this my regular stop when I'm in the area!“

“The crew that worked at this Henry Ford location on: April 14, 2026 around 2 pm was GREAT! I was having a low blood sugar reaction and they helped me immediately when I told them. I requested an oatmeal raisin cookie and cup for a drink until I could order my sandwich. Tanijha gave me the cookie and cup immediately. When it was my turn to order my sandwich Mimi and Malcolm worked very well together to get my sandwich to me expeditiously due to my low blood sugar. All this happened during a very busy time for them; however, they worked together to get me and my blood sugar together! 😊 I want each of them to know that I appreciate them from the bottom of my heart. I tried to call to speak with their manager Angela the next day, to compliment them, but the phone just rang, then cut off. God BLESS and kudos to each of them for a JOB WELL DONE!

I just kept getting placed on hold then disconnected. DO NOT BUY THE COOKIES! I had to trash them all.“

“We came here a few minutes prior to closing time.
The man that serviced us was extremely pleasant, prompt and polite. He was an older gentleman with salt and pepper or possibly white hair. He was so patient with us, even though he was about to close down. He loaded our sandwiches up with the remainder of meat he had left (we got double meat and it was much more generous than any other subway we’ve been to) and he was super fast with the whole process. It’s truly the people that make an establishment 5 stars or 1 star. He did an awesome job and we truly thank him for servicing customers so close to the end of the shift, and even a few minutes after close, with such understanding, patience and respect. You don’t see that very often, especially in a fast food restaurant. The food was great, too. The sandwiches were juicy, fat and toasty. Just how we like them. Cookies on point. We will come back.
