“I waited several minutes at the bar before someone came to take my order. There was no one behind the bar (it was just past lunchtime and the place was not busy). Food was delicious although the steak (8 oz. Bourbon Street) was overcooked. When I pointed that out to the server, he immediately returned it to the kitchen and ordered another which was cooked to order. He also gave me a complimentary salad. Over all, good service, once started. Pleasant atmosphere.“

Had a waitress that actually remembered my mother my father from when we used to meet there with our youngest daughter. Waitress and I apologize I forgot your name, you were outstanding, caring, and bubbly. She's been a waitress there for 25 years. A lot of the wait staff and staff had tie dye shirts with a logo on the back. Those were cute. Had the steak and eggs, American fries, Texas toast, coffee. Everything was excellent. The wife had standard two eggs bacon and toast. They've had to recently upcharge $0.50 per egg, like a lot of restaurants are because of the new price increase with the bird flu. Still, excellent money for the value that we got. Plenty of portions. Will try to go back soon, hopefully not as long as 20 years. The decor is quaint with airplane memorabilia hanging from the ceilings the walls and posters. Don home folk down home food downhome good time down home great value.“

“Typically pretty hesitant to take four of our small children to a restaurant especially a nicer restaurant. They were extremely accommodating and very kind. They did not make us feel out of place or like we shouldn’t be there at all. Our server was amazing and beyond patient. The food was really good.“

“today me and my fiance got toast and jams take out for breakfast. we wanted one of those stay in your pajamas eat breakfast in bed type of days. the only thing that could have made it better is if they did delivery but I was fine picking it up because then I got to order a drink when I was there. I didn't see any drinks to order on the website but I might have just missed that completely that could be my fault but I was happy I went inside cuz I could get it to go coffee. haven't been in to toast and jams in quite some time but I was very impressed. it was super cute inside. I definitely want to go back and eat inside it was so adorable in there and a little area that they have to order drinks at off to the side is super cute. when I walked into toast and jams there was nobody at the door to greet me which was fine and that kind of looked around and was trying to figure out where to go to pick up my order. so I was walking around a little lost and the nicest server came up to me to put me in the right direction I believe she said her name was Miko. younger girl real cute had a hat on short hair shortish darker skin very pretty. anyways the server was such a joy. she stopped the work that she was doing to come up to me and point me in the right direction asked me if I needed help or needed to be set. told her I was picking up a to go order she pointed me in the right direction said she had to go check on a table but she would be back in a minute to make sure that I had everything I needed. I don't really think that was her job to be working the door I think she works the tables but I appreciate her taking her time out of her day to approach me and she was so polite and friendly I'll definitely come back in to eat and ask to sit in her section. food was amazing kitchen did a wonderful job I eat at a lot of breakfast places and this was really top notch good job kitchen. all around good experience I'll be back“

“Honestly, my experience today made me a patron of this Big Boy for life. My husband and I took our 4-year-old to celebrate her last day of school. The service was attentive and the food was good. While we were there, more of my family wanted to come and join us and have desserts so we stalled for a bit. When my family arrived, my nephew went and played the claw machine...and the machine didn't drop the prize right and it got stuck. The manager and staff went above and beyond trying to help make this right for him. And not only that, the manager gave my daughter and niece a special prize also. I understand not all days will be like this and this won't be the same for other customers and the crane machine isn't even their problem, but I left the restaurant with 3 children who were made to feel extra special by the manager and that wins every time. The manager also chased me down outside the restaurant to give me my sunglasses I had left at the table. This manager went above and beyond for my family, and I guarantee she will give superior service to anyone else who enters this establishment. Her staff was great, but it's probably because she's an amazing also!“

“My husband and I have lived in North Muskegon on Bear Lake all our lives and BLT was a staple for our families. However, had not been back for many years after bad experiences with new ownership. Now that’s it changed hands again we decided to try it. Service was phenomenal, food was great!! Planning on going back next week!!!“

“First time at G&L. Wow. Amazing food and service and such a fair price. Only $7.50 for 2 loaded chili dogs and fries. The chili cheese dogs were so delicious. The buns were soft and the chili was awesome. I highly recommend a stop. You will not be disappointed. I can’t wait to try the new smash burgers.“

“The service was great I wouldnt ask for more me and my fiancee was eating there and I seen something on my fiancee plate like the plate was dirty so I called my waiter (Nick) over and I told him I was like it looks like my fiancee plate is dirty is it possible for me to get a new one . He said sure I will transfer your food to a different plate . He ask if that was better and I said yes and thank you so much for doing that .
So I have to say 10 out of 10 for Nick for doing that for us . I hope this caught one of the managers attention because he deserves something for what he did . Overall service was great ! 🫠“
