Good luck finding them open, and Lord help you if you insist on sensible service, but the food is great and they will eventually get you things like: a refresh on your ice tea or catsup for your fries. parm Alfredo. The chicken was moist, coating crunchy. But the noodles were very gummy. I was disappointed with this choice. The rest of our meal including the drinks were good. The staff was friendly and checked in with us periodically to make sure things were alright/needs were met.“

Had a waitress that actually remembered my mother my father from when we used to meet there with our youngest daughter. Waitress and I apologize I forgot your name, you were outstanding, caring, and bubbly. She's been a waitress there for 25 years. A lot of the wait staff and staff had tie dye shirts with a logo on the back. Those were cute. Had the steak and eggs, American fries, Texas toast, coffee. Everything was excellent. The wife had standard two eggs bacon and toast. They've had to recently upcharge $0.50 per egg, like a lot of restaurants are because of the new price increase with the bird flu. Still, excellent money for the value that we got. Plenty of portions. Will try to go back soon, hopefully not as long as 20 years. The decor is quaint with airplane memorabilia hanging from the ceilings the walls and posters. Don home folk down home food downhome good time down home great value.“

“Typically pretty hesitant to take four of our small children to a restaurant especially a nicer restaurant. They were extremely accommodating and very kind. They did not make us feel out of place or like we shouldn’t be there at all. Our server was amazing and beyond patient. The food was really good.“

“The service here is great. The staff working here (Grand Haven) tonight (8/8/25) was very helpful. My car had caught fire in the curbside parking. They had called 911 and another employee put the fire out. The true reason I wrote this review is one of the staff members even came back out to check up on me. I appreciated that a lot. “Honestly, my experience today made me a patron of this Big Boy for life. My husband and I took our 4-year-old to celebrate her last day of school. The service was attentive and the food was good. While we were there, more of my family wanted to come and join us and have desserts so we stalled for a bit. When my family arrived, my nephew went and played the claw machine...and the machine didn't drop the prize right and it got stuck. The manager and staff went above and beyond trying to help make this right for him. And not only that, the manager gave my daughter and niece a special prize also. I understand not all days will be like this and this won't be the same for other customers and the crane machine isn't even their problem, but I left the restaurant with 3 children who were made to feel extra special by the manager and that wins every time. The manager also chased me down outside the restaurant to give me my sunglasses I had left at the table. This manager went above and beyond for my family, and I guarantee she will give superior service to anyone else who enters this establishment. Her staff was great, but it's probably because she's an amazing also!“

“Just found this place after 7 years of living in west michigan after growing up in Chicago suburbs my entire life. Tastes just like home you could swear it’s the hot dog joint down the street. Instantly a new favorite and a future frequent!“

“The service was great I wouldnt ask for more me and my fiancee was eating there and I seen something on my fiancee plate like the plate was dirty so I called my waiter (Nick) over and I told him I was like it looks like my fiancee plate is dirty is it possible for me to get a new one . He said sure I will transfer your food to a different plate . He ask if that was better and I said yes and thank you so much for doing that .
So I have to say 10 out of 10 for Nick for doing that for us . I hope this caught one of the managers attention because he deserves something for what he did . Overall service was great ! 🫠“
