“I’ve tried multiple times to order from this location at 8:30 and they are never open. Door says they close at 9...maybe consider changing the times so people don’t waste time goin there. Love the sandwiches, but not being open during posted hours is a drag.“

“So impressed with this place! We literally walked out of Subway across the street where the employees look like they are on drugs and haven't showered this year to find Jersey Mike's. What a difference-night and day. Here they are friendly and helpful the staff are proud of their products and it shows in the shop, the ingredients, the cleanliness everything. Food was awesome, fresh and delicious. I hope Subway goes out of business.“

“Boardwalk has been my go to sub spot for over a decade. Unfortunately I moved to a different state now, but anytime I'm in Grand Rapids I find my way here.
Their menu is great, but one of my favorite things to do is just walk in and have whoever is helping me create their favorite or experiment. This particular evening Kayla and Grace did not disappoint and gave me a great take on their turkey & prostini.
The staff has always treated me great and the quality of food has been consistently wonderful.“

“We were in late yesterday to pick up a couple subs for a late dinner.we noticed how polite & helpful daman made my sub.Even made us laugh a bit. Great service which is hard to find especially out there in fast food world.Grateful for his great , kind & helpful service to help my husband order.Highly recommend the titan & club sandwiches.This is the only location that we will always go to from now on!!🙂“

“Im Happy to say Mcalister's didn't disappoint... almost.
First and foremost. This place is better than the Penera across the street. I'll die on that hill.
Secondly their food is amazing for sit down. And am yet to complain when I dine in. Truely 5 star experience if I say so myself for a deli shop.
Third... the drive through needs work or a new order of operations to keep food FRESH throughout the process.. what do I mean by this? I have only had issues when going through the drive through. Soggy toast. Messy sandwiches falling apart. And the most recent one of French dip sauce being half put on and thrown into a to-go bag just to have it spill over my fiancé's WHITE gaming chair apon opening. I wish I had took pictures but im telling it for what it is.
Final thoughts:
Overall ill settle for 4 stars but cannot give 5 until they fix the drive through situation. Not quite sure if there is a process that can be adjusted to ensure toast doesn't get soggy, loose items won't spill or leak, and food doesn't feel like its been sitting for 30min wrapped heavily in wrapper for steam to soggy it all up. I know a deli has a lot to keep up with. For them to have a drive through is great! Perfect for people on the go quickly. But all i have to say is I'd rather sit down when I can- every time.
The customer service while dining in is unprecedented with any other location I can think of. Everyone is so nice and very quick to help anyway possible to ensure your experience is up to their standards. The staff are doing very well. Especially the lunch crew as of this date. The evening crew seems to lack a little bit of coordination from what I can see by prospecting. But none the less the service was the same.
The atmosphere inside is somewhat homely. What i mean by this is- as a 2000s kid growing up and listening to the radio with my dad was a big part and their music selection and over all inside vibe is great, relaxing, and perfect to unwind with the family and enjoy some fresh deli products.

Employee that made my sandwich was really nice and professional, and he did a good job, but the people in the back were not professional. There was a girl back there that screamed very loud, sounded like it was maybe out of frustration. But seriously it’s a sub shop with one customer in the store. How frustrated can you be?“

“I visited this location as it was on my way to work. I walked in to order and the girl just blankly looked at me. No greeting, no smile, no how can I help you. I asked her if she was taking orders. I order two sandwiches and brought them into work. My bread was so crunchy on the bottom it was as though it had been toasted. Not the best visit, probably won't go to that location again.“

“My wife and I wanted Subway for dinner, but have had poor experiences with our closest store (Grandville). We decided to go to this 28th St. store. I had The Boss, and my wife had the Garlic Roast Beef. Both were really good! The service was good also. I wanted to point out that there was a young man behind the counter that obviously was in training. That's OK, everyone goes through the learning process. What stood out was that even though he was new, he greeted us with a smile, and asked what he could get started for us. Well done young man, I'm sure do a great job!“

“Place was pretty decent. Only real complaint is that it felt kind of like a cafeteria but that could be the suite they are stuck operating with for the time. And a little more variety on the bagel options would help, but the ones I chose were very good, and the price is right where it should be. Happy.“
