“My Conundrum red blend was very good! Ahi tuna and crab Rangoon dip were delicious, but we were hoping for entrees with more pizazz. My tuna steak was large and perfectly cooked, but relatively no flavor and I would recommend a soy sauce option to go with it. The garlic mashed potatoes were not garlicky at all and the asparagus was nearly raw, though tasty. The brisket Mac and cheese was good, but underwhelming. It was our first time there while visiting family. We'd give it another try if there is an occasion for it.“

“The calamari was perfect, the mussels were average, the crab cakes were good but all finely shredded no lump crab, some what disappointed with that. Salmon was perfect, tartar sauce just ok,( we like a more tart sauce with fresh dill, capers, and pickles) as was the green beans and rice. Great Caesar salad and dinner rolls. Samantha our waitress was spectacular. We would definitely go back again.“

“TLDR: Good food, nice atmosphere, good drinks, GREAT social fries!I’ve visited this place a few times over the last year and have never been disappointed in my experience. No matter what time I’ve come in, I rarely have to wait to be seated. This time, I visited with my friend and her 4 year-old. They provided a kids menu with a coloring page and crayons, which was very entertaining for the kiddo. We both ordered one of the special drinks- I forgot to get a photo of the name of it, so of course I forgot what it was called, but it was delicious and had sherry in it, in case you visit during the time that they are still offering the spring specials (see photo).Kiddo ordered a cheeseburger and fries (which he didn’t touch ?) and his mom and I ordered the social grilled cheese (without ham- bc no meat!) and goat cheese tomato soup (it comes with the sandwich). I’ve been here a few times and have ordered other things- I do love the Lobster Mac, for instance- but I keep coming back for this dang grilled cheese and soup! We got social fries with the order, which are their French fries with garlic, butter and some other delicious spice, served with ranch or Chipotle ranch- although I just dip those bad boys into my tomato soup ?. Kiddo didn’t eat his cheeseburger because he was stealing his mom’s grilled cheese- it’s THAT good - like “upon dipping sandwich into soup, 4-year-old’s eyes rolled into the back of his head” good.I forgot to get pics of the food because I C was starving and just mowed down, but if you can imagine a thick tomato bisque made even thicker with goat cheese, you get the idea. The atmosphere is that of a pub/diner and the wait staff is very nice and accommodating.I’ll be back, of course!Vegetarian options: I got grilled cheese and tomato soup- seems vegetarian to me!Parking: There’s not ever been a completely full parking lot, despite the restaurant always being busy!Kid-friendliness: They offer a kids menu which doubles as a coloring page and crayons for the kiddos!“

“Food - Our absolutely favorite spot in town! Hands down, top 3 burger contendor in GR. Amazing staff - kind and friendly, all good at mixing up a drink! You have to try a "Rob bomb". Atmosphere - This team really knocks it out of the park. Always an awesome vibe with lots of live entertainment! All in all, an amazing establishment. Definitely what Grand Rapids needs!“

“I love it here!!! I was surprised the first time that I came when they were new, that we had no wait. They greet you outside to check ID's and to let you in only if there is space. There was no table available for us, but there was room at the bar. We gladly accepted. The bartenders were phenomenal - very attentive and helpful, made good drinks, obviouslyyyyy! I tired the PVPD and absolutely loved it. Very beautiful drink and very delicious. The drink names are fun and playful, and very fitting for the place.I can't wait to come back for food. It looked good, and if it is as good as the drinks, I am sure I'll be impressed. The atmosphere is great - I love all the neon going on, it is very lively and kind of gives club vibes, but it is a pretty small, intimate place. Overall, I'd recommend!!Parking: There are plenty of paid parking lots in the area, but there is also a lot of street parking, some metered, but mostly free.“
“Nicest workers EVER! Was on a trip to the Grand Rapids area and stopped on a recommendation from my daughter. They were closed but they served us anyways knowing we had intentionally come there. The blueberry lavender lager was delicious as well as their sour. Thoroughly enjoyed them on the patio. Thank you Speciation for your hospitality! Will stop again next time we are in the area (during regular business hours!)“

“Awesome dive bar in GR. Matty was our server and he was seriously one of the best waiters my husband and I have ever had. Little dark inside, don’t remember seeing windows, but plenty of seating at the bar and tables. They had great drinks and drink prices. Pull tabs too! We will definitely “
“Everyone knows what a Beer Flight is, but a Pizza Flight?? Yes please, take my $$$!The beer is always outstanding here, but honestly it's the pizza flight that brings me back over and over again. The fact I can pick 6 different kinds of pizza and not have to settle for one flavor is the best thing ever.I personally think my favorite is the Coney Dog pizza. Why is this not common everywhere. Outstanding! Can't wait for my next trip to Grand Rapids.“

“Not sure what Trophy Dad is saying, but I was there that same night and seen no issues. Everything he said could be further from the truth. I know the bartender personally and he wouldn't and wasn't doing anything of the sort. It is a very busy place and the workers are always hustling and bustling due to the amount coming in and out. Actually seen the manager out on the floor talking with folks all while helping run food and manage the entire place. Either this guy was at the wrong place or has larger problems in his own personal life and felt the need to take out his problems here. Always have a great experience at this place and love the atmosphere. I'm sure no one will miss the guy, lol.“

“While drinks in the heart of downtown Grand Rapids have kind of gotten out of control, you can always count on Putt Putts for a good drink at a reasonable price and a low-fuss atmosphere. If you want to just grab a drink with friends, you can't go wrong.“

“Charlie's has to be one of my favorite places to eat ever. Super friendly staff, Charlie herself comes by every single time. Wait staff and bartenders are all great. Tracy was our server tonight, possibly the best service we've ever had! The food was also great, especially the mussels and the potato skins. Fried pollack is hand breaded. Smelt battered in house too. Kids Mac and cheese, Charlie brings candy for the kids. What's not to love? If we could, we'd go every week.“

“Fast service, friendly staff, and clean. Kid friendly. Not too loud. Menu is fairly basic, but not a bad thing. Enjoyed out meal!Kid-friendliness: Several kids there, including ours. Not out of place, despite being more of a bar. Restrooms were clean.“
“Cocktails were amazing, service was good, atmosphere was great. Food was tasty but maybe a little on the heavy side for cocktail appetizer food, eg totally smothered in buttery oily goodness sauce that requires cutting and avoiding drippage on white clothes. Tasty but out of context! I'll be back for more Old Fashions for sure.“

“Stopped in for dinner and drinks. Emily is an exceptional server, we absolutely love her friendly and welcoming personality. The spinach and artichoke dip is phenomenal and the pineapple mule drink suggestion is much appreciated, as it was delicious. Highly recommend stopping in!“
“Very relaxed no frills dive bar. Don't expect fancy cocktails or a large beer selection, but if you just want a quiet place to grab a beer and chat with folks it's a great spot. The drinks are cheap ($8 for a pitcher of Foster's) and they only take cash but there is an ATM inside. One of the oldest bars in town!“

“Anchor Bar is the quintessential dive bar for Grand Rapids. If you haven't been, you definitely should! Cheap drinks (made strong as they should be) with good music and shows on TV. Plus great service and a surprisingly good Old Fashioned. AND dog (and cat!) friendly! Being downtown on Bridge, parking is limited to mostly paid lots or the few (paid) parallel parking spots.“

“This place came highly recommended and we had to check it out. The manager Rachel immediately introduced herself to us and offered complimentary tastings of some of their amazing spirits including: rum, vodka, gin, bourbon, as well as coffee liqueur and ale brandy. We ordered a few cocktails (jungle bird, painkiller) and were highly impressed. The overall atmosphere is eccentric and chill paired with amazing drinks and service. Highly recommend checking this place out for a date night or a night out with friends.“

“From the moment I first set my eyes on the Ballroom I knew my dream wedding was possible! I cannot even describe how gorgeous the venue is and how every little detail is so beautiful and elevated with the lighting options and color choices! The staff was incredible to work with. They made every bit of my dream come true and helped cater to all my wishes and needs. The whole planning process was quite easy and filled with no nonsense, I couldn’t be happier with how everything came together and worked out! I highly recommend the Mckay Ballroom to anyone wanting an elegant and stunning venue that people will never forget! It gives such a feeling of fanciness and glamour that makes you almost feel like royalty or at least as close as you can get in west Michigan. The ballroom really is something to behold! Also the bridal suite and rooftop room were so convenient and cool looking, just an additional element of wonder and ease. Overall a spectacular venue and wonderful staff! 11/10 would recommend“
“It's a local watering hole (meant in the beat way) and the cutest little dive bar. It has well poured drinks that won't break the bank and is open until 2am. It's super chill, not judgmental, and the type of place where everyone knows everyone else. There is no food but you can bring in outside food.“

“Food is usually ok here. The salsa doesn't have much flavor and the chips tasted a little burnt. The service was ok. The server herself was good, but slow. Seemed like there wasn't enough staff(same as most places these days). The restaurant itself is aged and seemed like it could use a good deep cleaning. The table we were at slanted. Felt like our drinks could tip over. Its an old establishment, so some of this is to be expected.“
“Lot's of bars in Creston Heights with lengthy histories, but Vinny's has changed the least in the last 50 years. Generally, a friendly neighborhood patronage. Reasonably priced drinks. No food, but one of the best Mexican restaurants in town is right next door.“

I wouldn't use those because it's another business but I could of without issues that night.“

“I can’t say anything bad about a place with tasty margaritas and tasty tacos. There can be a little bit of a wait sometimes, but that’s to be expected when the food is good. “Bar food done right - and they have daily specials, like $8 for a burger and fires/tots/onion rings with a draft pint. That is a steal in an economy where most burgers are $16 and fries are extra. Food is good and the drinks are strong. Service is always super quick and friendly. They have pool tables and various games, along with live music on weekends and a comedy show on Wednesdays. There is a small lot in back for parking, or some street parking.“

“Delicious food & great service. I got the fried pickle wraps and the train wreck. Both were great choices! Their fries are delicious. It was our first time there. Our friend group has been trying new places and this was recommended in a Facebook group!“
“PLEASE SUPPORT THIS BAR!! I NEVER been here before, tell today. And the moment I walked I was greated. And unfortunately I wasn't there for drinks, I was in search of a friend who shouldn't be alone right now. And only thing I new was he was at a bar. So I expland to the bartender, asking if he was or by chance here. Unfortunately not, but the bartender she stopped what she had going on and called a few Bars that where open at 1030am to help find him as if it was her friend. Nothing but great vibes, great people, and great bartender. Wish I would have asked her name to give her credit in this review. This place deserves the love. “This is by far one of the cutest most friendliest bars in town. They decorate per every holiday and took a vote to keep xmas up year round. It's so amazing in there. It's a family owned bar of 30 plus years we met the nicest owner, daughter abd had the sweetest server Sandy. Ordered fries, Long Island and tenders ?. It's super small and has about 5 rows of tables so reservations are definitely recommended. It's really the neatest little spot in the NW neighborhood. They are famous for there burritos. Love this place“

“I am the lead vocalist in a local band that frequents Mulligans. We refer to it as “home base” because the atmosphere is 100% suited for small local gigs.
