“Flyleaf Grosse Pointe is a haven for book lovers, gourmands, and those unique people who love the nostalgia of an old school Viennese coffee house. The selection of books is curated well and I'll defy you to leave without making a purchase. The decor feels like you've been transported back in time to old English library from an Agatha Christie novel, all we need to complete the vibe is Hercule Poirot or Miss Marple. The quality of the food is superb, they don't skimp and you'll never be disappointed. The staff, are those unicorns who love books and love their jobs. A wonderful hidden gem.“

“If you complain about the drinks, try other ones. Their drinks are too good. I literally cannot choose which is my favorite out of five of them. Everyone is quiet, not obnoxious, and respectful. The service is great. They make sure to always greet you and say goodbye when you leave. They always inform you if your drink needs stirring. They always show gratitude towards tips, and this also helps the atmosphere feel cozy and warm. I love the music playing in the background and how sometimes they even take song requests. 10/10 for everything.“

They had a savory hand pie that day that my cousin bought as well. I've attended a hand pie cooking class there. Everything is hand made and unique.“

“I read a negative review below about how Lucky's coffee isn't as good and to go to LeRouge and I think this person has it backwards. I love Lucky's coffee. It's creamy, nutty, and consistent.Jason, the barista, is far more than a slinger of caffeinated libations. He is a cultivator of community and camaraderie, always so pleasant to chat with. He always remembers me, the warmth of which you won't find at Red Hook Indian Village. It's everything you could want in a local coffee shop.However, my one suggestion for refinement (and why I took off one star) is the baked goods. The croissants, in particular, are devoid of the joie de vivre one expects from such a French patisserie classic. Their almond croissant’s frangipane doesn't possess that dense creaminess, and its dough is bereft of that crispy flakiness as you'll find elsewhere. A modest proposition: perhaps Lucky's could source their croissants from Golden Wheat in Warren (also a revered supplier to Atomic Coffee in Royal Oak).All in all, I would absolutely recommend Lucky's coffee--not just for their coffee but for the experience, steeped in authenticity and charm.Going on a walk or coming after a yoga class? “Visited the new Starbucks on Gratiot Avenue in Clinton Township, Michigan. The cleanliness and spacious layout caught my attention, though it felt a bit isolated compared to typical Starbucks vibes. Despite that, the design was pleasing and the staff were exceptionally friendly. They seemed well-stocked, although the oddly shaped 'eggs' in the cooler raised some eyebrows. Overall, a nice spot to visit, but maybe skip the eggs!“

Feels like walking into a family establishment. My coffee was excellent and I really enjoyed the synergy. I had to visit this location for a remake from the location on Radnor who unfortunately cant seem to get right. Kudos to this location and its team!“
