“Hard to find much to fault them with, but hard to find anything spectacular. This is a date night restaurant with that Grosse pointe ambiance that have you forgive solid but very traditional food. I wouldn’t travel far for it, but then again if I wanted a safe place Niniis it.“

We ordered “ primavaera”, Shirley temple and smoked Protobello Mushrooms. Everything was par excellence. Cooked to perfection; scrumptious meals with good potions, complimentary salad.Last but not least, Our server asked what occasion we were celebrating. “As always, my dining experience at Nico’s on Erie Street (Via Italia) last night was a real pleasure! This time I was with the Ontario Wine Society for a ‘sold out’ event. The delicious food prepared in Nico’s kitchen paired so well with the 7 wines we sampled. The portions were generous and left us all filled and completely satisfied. The servers at Nico’s were wonderful too, and they managed to keep the wine flowing and water glasses filled while they cleared plates to serve each successive course. The decor is high end stylish and the seats are so comfortable. The booths are awkward as it causes you to face everyone in the dining room rather than the person you came with. Very uncomfortable. The food was amazing! The table shared some sausage and peppers, I had rigatoni with pomodoro, my mom and grandma had the Porcellino, and my papa had the Campagna. Everyone loved their food! And as good as mine was, I can’t stop thinking about the Campagna that my papa shared with me - the braised short rib in it was so tender! “We have been wanting to try this place since there isn't many good Italian places in the area besides Olive Garden. I ordered the chicken Tosca it was very good and filling. It came with 2 sides and soup. The minestrone soup was great. I got mashed potatoes and noodles with sauce. The mashed potatoes were good. I didn't care for their red sauce on their noodles or the sauce that comes on a plate with oil for their bread. I think it is the same sauce. I wish they had home made bread sticks instead of slices of bread. They do not have regular drinks listed on the menu, but a separate menu for alcoholic drinks which I thought was odd. Not everyone is there to order alcohol. I don't remember the name of the meal my fiance' ordered, but he really liked his as well. It is big portions we both had left overs. We ordered dessert. The raspberry crumble cheesecake was lacking flavor and very thick, but the tiramisu was amazing. The service was great. Lindsey was our server and she was on top of drink refills. They boxed up our food for us that was nice. The atmosphere was quiet for a Saturday night which we didn't mind. It seemed nice and intimate. Over all great experience and you get a lot more for the prices versus Olive Garden.“

“We have been to Pepperoni's twice now. The first time we went on a Saturday night and had a wonderful experience. The second time we went on a Wednesday and took advantage of their pasta special. Both nights the food was amazing and the service was top notch. The bartender, Sarah, gives some of the best service around. Felt a little rushed because the waitress was asking about dessert and I wasn’t done my dinner. But she was very nice and attentive ❤️They had bread or baguette and bread but was not homemade and wanted to charge $3 dollars for another small basket of bread. No oil or garlic and bread was not warm. The meals were excellent but portions very small again (pasta is cheap). A friend of mine said she went home and ate again. I felt embarrassed because I picked this place. The meals we had were not cheap. Drinks were all good. Oh ya the other thing they charge $6 if you don’t want their home salad for caesar. “Jason is amazing! Every time I come he greets me with a smile and always had fresh stuff ready to go! Customer service is a 12/10 he will chat up a whole convo if it’s not busy, very friendly! “We're new to the are and Licavolis continues to be one of our favorite spots to grab a bite to eat. The shop itself is awesome with all kinds of Michigan made products and great snacks. The pizza, subs and calazones are my personal favorites here. Enjoyed the salad and cheese bread this time ad well. “This place has a "wow" factor for it food. They're menu lists a lot of made-from-scratch dishes. They claim their Mac and Cheese is the best around. Ha! I was skeptical at best, but they are having a special where if you order two entries for a total of twenty bucks, you get a crock free. So, what the heck! Oh. My. Gosh. They are RIGHT!!! We've had a lot of M&C and this, by far was the best!! They use heavy cream plus different cheeses and the result is *Heaven in a Crock." I'm not kidding. The food.. delicious Now I was only going in for a drink and ordered a glass of rosè. I decided to get calamari and it was delicious! It wasn't rubbery at all! Crisp rings throughout! The bread was soft and delicious too! I forget the name of the sauce brought out with the bread as it wasn't regular marinara sauce but it had a slight kick to it. The marinara sauce that came out with the calamari was perfect. It wasn't saucy and salty like other Italian restaurants can be. My server, Emily was a sweetheart. A pure sweetheart. She had other tables and checked on me constantly. I didn't feel left out as I was sitting at the bar alone. We even had a girl chat about Law & Order! I went to pay for my food and Emily let me know another patron already covered my bill. I was having a bad day and had been super emotional about it. These two women made my day. We rarely dine in as we are a family of 4 and the dining area is fairly small.I often dine in for lunch when alone or having lunch with a friend. Service is always very fast and friendly.I do not mind their prices because the portions are enough for my meal and I often take some home for leftovers. Some people may find them expensive but they are completely comparable to other restaurants in the city. Definitely one of our family favourites when we are looking to have takeout.“
