Some things I never would have thought to try have been incredible (carrot tostadas have no business being this good). They also serve the best Ole Fashioned in town, and have Sea Quench on tap.Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options, including the tostadas and the smoked tofu sandwich (don't skip this, it's insanely good).Parking: Parking lot is right across the street at the intersection corner.“

“Cannot go to bed tonight without writing this review first. Sat at the bar and service was impeccable. Bartender/waitstaff really knew the menu well. Ordered the trout, beet salad, and gnocchi all of which were flavorful and texturally perfect. For dessert, ordered the upside down carrot cake and pavlova. Ate every last bite even though we were already full. We will be coming back and bringing friends!“

“Had the absolute best experience. I've frequented a few Michelin star restaurants and the Highlands definitely deserves one! Took my boyfriend for his birthday, and we both got different courses so combined we tried 6 dishes - the bread and butter is superb, loved the prawns, tuna crudo is fantastic, NY strip cooked to perfection. “It's very unique in that the entire menu is sliders, sort of a twist on tapas. The ones we ordered were good but not exceptional. The server was delightful and the atmosphere was clean and casual. There's a great big waiting area in the back with picnic tables, and our wait was very short. It would probably be even more popular if it were in a more accessible location. If we lived in Detroit we'd certainly go back and explore the menu further.“

“First off, the everything bagel wings were so juicy that it squirted in my gfs face. Main takeaway. And very tasty, IMO! I got the peach rosemary zero proof drink, very tasty. My partner got the "deez nuts" which was fun to watch her squirm and request it hahaha She got the primavera, it was okay. Could use more salt/flavor. I got the baby kale salad that tasted pretty good but the salad items were not cut up, so it made it slightly difficult to eat, but I think that's a personal preference. I got the blackened chicken and it was over cooked but good flavor. Decent place, just some execution errors. Fast casual for right before the Nicki Minaj concert. Our server was sweet and prompt. Top notch service from everyone we encountered there“

“It was my wide birthday, and I wanted to do something on the Intimacy side, so we decided to go and listen to some live jazz music. It was our first time being at Dirty Dog Jazz Cafe, and what an experiences we had, the food was good and the drinks were amazing and lest not forget about the music OMG!!!“

“So this rating is for the desserts only. My Wife and I were at the DIA not that long ago and stopped at Kresge Court for a quick snack. The crème brûlée was phenomenal. As were the donut bites. It's a fun place to stop and rest for a bit while you're exploring the DIA“

“Have come here a few times since moving to Detroit. It's in a very old mostly abandoned industrial part of the city along the Detroit River, made better by nice new development nearby, adjoining a portion of the beautiful Detroit River Walk, and on a strip near the Atwater Grill with other businesses. Very nostalgic looking business whose interior including bathrooms have certainly seen better days, but made comfortable by the nice wait staff and VERY HOSPITABLE owner who is most always available and a pleasure to chat with. Generally speaking the food here is very good. I'd call this a must visit little foray into old Detroit, where you can get a nice meal and drinks well off the beaten path. I like it.“

The spicy cheese curds are a must, and this place is known for having great wings. They also grill a mean burger. The bartender was super friendly, even offering us free candy while we waited for our order. We will definitely be back!“
